Question. Small groups with very low and high to help one another do you suggest it? I would call by team but they work in a mixed level group

For independent work, that's how I structured mine. For working with me on targeted needs, I made those groups same level/need.

I have a question. If you are pulling different kids to you each day from different teams, do they just skipped the independent work for that day?
