      I was playing RuneScape 💀
I told my best friend on the game at the time as it was happening, and she provided as much comfort she possibly could have given the circumstance. I was recieving a text-based therapy session from a fellow preteen elementary schooler while giving a play-by-play of the crisis as it unfolded.

In my opinion, this is how it should’ve always been. I feel like Jerma puts way too much pressure on himself, especially as far as being consistent and entertaining for his audience. Seeing him give himself some breathing room for his schedule and aptitude is very healthy and welcome. Who knows, the well-being and freedom it will probably bring honestly might mean he streams even more, given he’ll likely feel comfortable being more sporadical and laid back

I would be sad if he quit streaming for good, and part of me is nervous that will still happen, but as long as we still get some livestreams every few weeks or so I'll be happy. Also, I'd definitely be more sad if he was actually quitting streaming, but he's still gonna do it pretty regularly from the sounds of it. As a jerma fan from the tail end of the "germ intro" TF2 commentary videos, I thoroughly look forward to every new Jerma arc.
When he first started to branch out from TF2, I was worried. I was there for TF2, or so I thought. Then I watched the other videos and realised there was something more to this Jeremy Massachusetts 1985.
As he branched out more into livestreaming and stopped being a TH-camr, I wasn't watching a lot on Twitch at the time and started to fall off the wagon. Then one day, I found him again, of course doing some unhinged bizarre shit. But on a scale that I had never thought would be possible back when he was that guy who I used to watch every day after school.
Now we're at the sunset of his livestreaming career and I think it's a great time for him to move on. Chronic pain (and potentially other health conditions) are very difficult to live with and to manage, and it is very easy to aggravate your condition by taking on too much stress and work.
I have no sense of FOMO with the end of his livestreaming career. Jerma is endlessly creative and relentlessly weird, and the only way to retain that is for him to be true to himself in whichever way that manifests artistically. Personally, I'm very keen to see Jerma the weird little goblin in other streamer's big events. I loved Shufflemania and I'd be so keen to see him in something like QTCinderella's Master Baker.
Whatever he makes (and he WILL keep making stuff) will end up being very Jerma. You can't ask for anything more than that.

yeah i think thats how most bigger youtubers/streamers are gonna go with their careers eventually. its honestly the best way to go about it, its healthy and most people will ultimately enjoy that rather than them just leaving altogether or forcing content that they don't want to continue grinding. everything fades eventually, and eventually all your favorite content creators will make their last vid or stream so its just best to enjoy what you get for however long you get it.

I feel bad for Jerma, his chat is kinda rabid, he has no need to explain himself this much its his life

To my understanding, whenever chat is rabid it’s usually ironic/a joke (ex. the ‘he HATES us’ stuff and the ‘he’s retiring TOMORROW’ bit). I can see why it would seem like that sometimes, but I really think 95% of the chat understands.
