I think in your assessment of the dilemma there was a key component that was missed. That girl is most likely single and I believe she’s probably struggling with the idea that a guy she missed is now marrying not only someone else but a close friend. It’s not even her trying to be involved as a main character, she’s jealous.
I am a little bit disappointed with you guys’ response in the last dilemma. Most of you mentioned that the main reason for not telling the girl the truth was because you did not want to lose your boyfriend by breaking his trust. However, if you and your boyfriend were people of good character and morals you would understand that infidelity reflects poor judgment and a lack of integrity and honesty. A better response would be to encourage your boyfriend to hold is friend accountable for cheating and for his friend to confess to his girlfriend. Birds of one feather flock together - so if your man’s friend is cheating maybe this is something they all do and hide it for each other?

My ex best friend that I was friends with as kids and as adults- I saw her bf of 5 years cheating on her and then found out he got that girl pregnant. I told my best friend at the time and I got called all sorts of shit (a jealous a** b*** and that I'm pitiful and all that). And turns out my ex best friend was pregnant also. I think that when it comes to a commitment as marriage, we are talking about two people in love. No friend should come between that when the situation of them dating was organic and innocent. That comparison sparks competition in some women because it makes them question themselves. So she is compensating by playing this false narrative in her head that 'she could of had him'.
