If we compare it to Gen 9 monstrosities like Baxcalibur and Archaludon, then we don't have to hold back with the buffs. Give this Nidoking access to Gunk Shot, Icicle Crash, and Play Rough on the physical side, and access to moves like Swords Dance, Bulk Up, and Nasty Plot for setup. Lowkey want to give it DD, because T-tar gets it so why not, but that 100 base Speed would ensure it never touches OU for at least two generations. Though, to be honest, all of that would probably let it have a pretty good niche even in Ubers; being very slightly slower and frailer (I think) than Landorus-I in exchange for an insane special Sheer Force moveset, a lack of an Ice type quad weakness, and resistance to Stealth Rock.
Thank you so much for these suggestions. Increasing its movepool variety was something I should have covered! It was more so overlooked due to his already monstrous pool of attacks already, but you made some very valid points.
I was in Saffron in Pokemmo beating Team Rocket on the tower. I kid you not, i almost swipped everyone with Nidoking besides Gary and Giovanni, yet he still did well Hinoru is a goat in my team
I'd say rather than rough skin, you should give it Guts as a replacement with rivalry. Rough skin is a purely defensive ability, and Nidoking even after the buff, doesn't have the defensive prowess or staying power to utilize it to its fullest. Guts at least bolsters its physical sets and gives players more options.
You'd think so! My intention is just to buff these Pokemon; Miltank has a base speed of 100 but for the sake of design sometimes we have to expand a little past reality
People will tell you that he isn't a pseudo because Archaludon doesn't check the "3 requirements", Don't listen to them just don't, Pseudo-legendary is a fan term, it's not official, Japanese people will tell you that a Pokémon just needs to have 600 bst, If you ask, no Pokémon like slacking are not considered pseudos because they are gimmick mons, So a Pokémon to be a Pseudo just needs 600 bst and doesn't have to be a gimmick or a legendary ( the last one is obvious but some people really asked that).
@@IStillPlayWhite2It's not the same thing, Flygon is one of those Pokémon people want to call Pseudo-pseudo-legendary (Bruh) so Pokémon people wish they were pseudos but obviously are not, Archaludon has 600 bst doesn't have a gimmick and is not a legend or a special mon like Ubs or paradoxes, So he is in fact a pseudo.

@@farisanwari777 that wasn’t a fan game! it was pokemon white 2. It has the Pokemon World Tournament in it, and yeah i modded a buffed nidoking into it. :)
i think 5 spatt could be traded for 5 att. remember that in comp (er, in the only format i acknowledge, no idea what it does in doubles if anything) nidoking never runs physical sets. it's still a mixed attacker by virtue of its options, as the moves that make use of the physical side are just weaker yet use the higher attacking stat to compensate. gunk shot, earthquake, and some punches need to keep up in damage output. with the proposed stats (122/110 offenses): 252+ SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mew: 257-304 (63.6 - 75.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO 252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 348-411 (86.1 - 101.7%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO 252+ Atk Life Orb Nidoking Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 224-265 (55.4 - 65.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO 252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Poison Jab vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 231-274 (57.1 - 67.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO gunk shot is basically its only super good physical attack, whereas for special attacks the life orb sheer force boost lets it have much better rounded attacks.
I feel like they knew that a special Nidoking made for a better Nidoking, as showcased by what they used in the video. Increasing the Attack still gives it the proportionally niche option for its Physical moves, or coverage in Superpower, for example. If they truly wanted to lean into what was best for it, they’d have disregarded the Attack entirely and buffed up Sp. Atk to even more insane levels of broken. But sure, if your point is that it should be slightly more powerful than it would be currently, then that’s fine as well 👍🏼
@@yuhbruh4866 if it wasnt meant to be a mixed attacker then it shouldnt be one. with sheer force 110 spatt is still absurdly strong. it was clearly stated in the video that nidoking is still a mixed attacker in this hypothetical. hence why i skewed things to make it slightly behave more mixed.
@@pikminman13 _(Warning for a long ass comment)_ I never said Nidoking as a whole wasn’t meant to be a mixed attacker, but I actually misunderstood you myself first lol, so that’s fair enough, and I understand the confusion. We’re actually pretty much in agreement. I thought you were recommending +5 Special Attack & -5 Attack, so I was making the point that it still appreciated the Attack for the aforementioned reasons, i.e. Superpower to break through Chansey/Blissey. Reading your comment the other way around was what made me bring up the theoretical hyper-optimisation of a Sheer Force attacker as purely Special, and why they didn’t go for that despite knowing it’d likely lean Special, anyway. That said, I’d totally be down to swap 5 Special Attack for Attack. Hell, I might even cautiously advocate for a *sliightly* higher boost, as well. The special coverage already gives far too good of a reason to lean further special over mixed, for a few reasons: 4 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mew: 261-308 (76.5 - 90.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO 252+ SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Sludge Wave vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mew: 257-304 (75.3 - 89.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO 252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Sludge Wave vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mew: 234-277 (68.6 - 81.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO *Earth Power still outdamages EQ, which you’re already aware of.* Running max Attack wouldn’t buff most of Nidoking’s deadly coverage, which is a huge part of its potency. Even +Speed versions aren’t drastically stronger with Gunk Shot, which already came with the trade-off of 80 Accuracy & 8 PP. So I say you emphasise it a little more, perhaps with -4 Defense & -3 Sp. Def (leaving both @ 90) in exchange for an additional 7 in Attack. Is 129/110 a lil insane? Perhaps, but the Sheer Force pseudo already made it comparable to Lando-I 😂 Could do 125 or 126 to be safe. Besides, it’s still Earth Powering, Flamethrowering, Ice Beaming, Thunderbolting… just that now, Gunk Shot is solidified as a threat, while also giving the niche Superpower & Sucker Punch more legs to stand with.
Nidoking is clearly intended to be a physical threat by Gamefreak, with its Attack far higher than his other stats. With the stat spread you gave and not giving him better moves, all people will just use a special moveset. I'd give him a much higher physical stat, like 120 Attack/95 Sp. Atk, and give him some good physical coverage affected by Sheer Force. Cross Chop and Gunk Shot for example. And give him a signature Ground type that will work with Sheer Force. Remember, special moveset still has the advantage of not having to worry with contact abilities, burn, and Intimidate, as well as reliable strong and accurate moves: Ice Beam, Flamethrower, etc. Physical moveset is stuck with weaker alternative to those (Ice Punch, Fire Punch) or inaccurate moves (Stone Edge).
Dude Nidoking has been UU in every gen since RSE but still gets occasional OU play. This buffed version belongs in Ubers with Landorus Incarnate who has a nearly identical role to Nidoking as a Sheer Force abuser. The only relevant difference between this new Nidoking and Lando (other than typing) is one less point in speed and a better movepool. You accidentally remade Lando.

Love the vid
Move 3 points from Atk to Speed then you’ll have the final nail in the coffin for Garchomp :(
gonna send him down to RU after that i swear to god lol.
Give Nidoking Moxie and watch him destroy the metagame.
What is the name of the music that is playing in the video?
Its a remixed version of the Kalos E4 music!
next do my goat aggron🙏 please get aggron justice for such a badass design
on it !
Best video ever
I was in Saffron in Pokemmo beating Team Rocket on the tower. I kid you not, i almost swipped everyone with Nidoking besides Gary and Giovanni, yet he still did well
Hinoru is a goat in my team
He is absolutely absurd in a playthrough, such a goated Pokemon.
I saw the title and I said I wish bro
me too. me too.
Could you do Aggron too?
Im getting alot of comments on Aggron and Flygon, I might have to do them next :D
Okay, but what about my girl Nidoqueen.
LETS GOOOOOO I LOVE MA BOI
I love most Bug, Ground & Poison mons
likewise, Nidoking is way too cool to not be good.
Thats actually a really good idea, and I think it also fits Nidoking since he's super intimidating. Thanks for your feedback!
Now make a Pseudo Nidoqueen counterpart
Honestly… it’s easier to talk about what type coverage Nidoking DOESN’T have
So much easier, I think this guy gets every type in the game haha
@@IStillPlayWhite2 No Grass, or Fairy....and for Flying it has Peck and Psychic it has Confusion

@@IStillPlayWhite2 ya got quite the ways to go fr, keep at it bro 👍

Nidoking evolves with a moonstone, give it fairy type. Poison/fairy.
Maybe for Nidoqueen, if I ever get around to her!
nidoking with base 100 speed just feels wrong. He looks slow, he should be slowish
You'd think so! My intention is just to buff these Pokemon; Miltank has a base speed of 100 but for the sake of design sometimes we have to expand a little past reality
Patrick Bateman at home
I don’t think the first requirement even counts, considering Archaludon is a pseudo too. At least, it probably is? Seems like a debated topic
Its probably dubbed a "pseudo legendary" because the community does that...same thing with Flygon! It does look like one for sure.
@@paololoporto1147you’re forgetting about the fact that he’s not a 3 stage evolution :3 I like to be as accurate and specific as possible! If it doesn’t fit the criteria, then it won’t count.
@@IStillPlayWhite2People can't just admit that things can change, Like legends were Pokémon with high stats (570-600+ bst) that couldnt evolve or have an evolution line.... then cosmog arrived and other legends with less than 570 bst, if an official term can change how it works imagine an unofficial one.
This is no kidding just Landorus-Incarnate stats, lmao.
very, VERY similar. Landorus will probably always be better due to its typing unfortunately.
The Nidoking we deserve 😢
Can I suggest Volcarona next? Ignore its 2-phase evo/imagine it has 3 phase, I just wanna see Volcarona with its deserved potential.
Edit: ngl he seems too fast for his bulk, maybe some of that juicy spd could go to hp and def
Volcarona could be a cool pokemon I can make into a Pseudo! I'm a Gen 5 boy, so that would be so much fun for me to cover.
@@IStillPlayWhite2 lmao yeah that modded/fangame u showed also used gen 5 assets, or is it OG gen 5 but u inserted a modified nidoking?

100 speed is wild ngl but Im down 😭
we definitely made bro overpowered
Do one for aggron and flygon too
You already know flygon is somewhere on this list :)
i think 5 spatt could be traded for 5 att. remember that in comp (er, in the only format i acknowledge, no idea what it does in doubles if anything) nidoking never runs physical sets. it's still a mixed attacker by virtue of its options, as the moves that make use of the physical side are just weaker yet use the higher attacking stat to compensate. gunk shot, earthquake, and some punches need to keep up in damage output.
with the proposed stats (122/110 offenses):
252+ SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mew: 257-304 (63.6 - 75.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 348-411 (86.1 - 101.7%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Nidoking Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 224-265 (55.4 - 65.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Poison Jab vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 231-274 (57.1 - 67.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
gunk shot is basically its only super good physical attack, whereas for special attacks the life orb sheer force boost lets it have much better rounded attacks.
very interesting breakdown! I appreciate you taking the time into looking into interactions, super useful data!
@@pikminman13
_(Warning for a long ass comment)_
I never said Nidoking as a whole wasn’t meant to be a mixed attacker, but I actually misunderstood you myself first lol, so that’s fair enough, and I understand the confusion.
The special coverage already gives far too good of a reason to lean further special over mixed, for a few reasons:
4 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mew: 261-308 (76.5 - 90.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Sludge Wave vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mew: 257-304 (75.3 - 89.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Sludge Wave vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mew: 234-277 (68.6 - 81.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
*Earth Power still outdamages EQ, which you’re already aware of.*
Running max Attack wouldn’t buff most of Nidoking’s deadly coverage, which is a huge part of its potency.
Aggron, Haxorus, and Volcorona would also make for some sick pseudos... just sayin... :3
*edit: also rhyperior
Bro made Mega Nidoking 🤣
Yep 😥At least he has an expanded movepool? lol.
Can u try fixing Reshiram next its really bad in ubers and in national dex Primal Groudon outclasses it as a special fire type attacker
