  • As gardeners, we plant a lot of flowers. While not all of those are edible for us, we do it to build a diverse, strong ecosystem.
We want our garden to be an environment that attracts beneficial insects. Not only do they help pollinate our veggies, but they also bring balance to the bug population in our growing space.

thinking, that butterflies and moths have grubs that must chew up the leaves-so losing some leaves should be expected and welcome, right?

Yup! We're growing for ourselves, but we also know we're going to lose some things to nature. That's just how it goes!

Is there a reason why my whole garden is giving small fruit? It’s like stunted growth. I live in Northern California.

Could be a lack of water, nutrients, or sunlight. For fruit trees, it's also important to thin them since the trees will try to produce more than they usually can or should.
