Yes . Hard core atheist, but I believe in jesus just the same as I believe in L ron hubbard, Joseph Smith etc. and just find it so strange that people can't see through the layer of crap that time and cultism has added to what is undoubtedly an interesting story.
If you read the Bible you’d know in scripture god warns of divison and talks about multiple “denominations” and being mindful not to fall into those Christianity is the one and only. The Baptist, Lutheran and so on is all nonsense
The Dead Sea Scrolls don't play a prominent role in Christianity today because they were written by a Jewish sect, likely the Essenes, and reflect Jewish theology rather than Christian teachings. The scrolls, which predate Jesus, do not mention him or align with New Testament doctrine. By the time they were discovered in 1947, Christianity’s scriptures had been firmly established, with the Old Testament already covering much of the content found in the scrolls. While they offer valuable historical insights into Jewish practices and beliefs during the Second Temple period, their theological differences, lack of direct connection to Christian teachings, and late discovery limit their relevance to Christianity. Instead, they are primarily studied as historical artifacts.
@SincereSentinel um, what? The dead sea scrolls have Isaiah, which contains probably the most problematic chapter in the old testament for jews. Isaiah 53 is clearly talking about Jesus and serious Jews have a very hard time sorting it out. Furthermore, the dead sea scrolls were very valuable to Christianity because they varied that the old testament as we have it today is accurate. Name literally one thing from the dead sea scrolls version of a biblical book that would change Christian theology.
I am not a religious person but you got to look up the Bible hypergraph the Bible is the most self-referencing book in the history of mankind there are over 64,000 references to other scriptures in the Bible people say that if it was written by one person in a lifetime that this person would be a master of literature but the fact that it was written by 40 different people over a period of 1500 years does make it very interesting
Ty for posting
Not religious in the slightest, but this is still interesting to hear tho , the lore of it all lol
You’re made in the image of the creator. When the world gets quiet you’ll feel the presence of God. I promise you that 🫡
You do feel things, don’t ignore your own messages
When you are quiet the universe whispers

@@airy-mountain shhh, do you hear it?
This video makes it pretty obvious why there are over 40,000 Christian denominations

Why did the apostles (some of them anyway) change their names?
Some to hide from being persecuted
Jews do that
I'm surprised that the Dead Sea Scrolls do not have more of an influence in Christianity Today. They seem to just be an interesting aside

Who here is familiar with the story of Jesus's brother Craig Christ
No... i hung out with his brother phil though.
I heard about Craig
Listening to this and believing the Bible to be anything more than fiction is not interesting to me
Well, it's not about you, so that makes sense.

@@poolhall9632 how could it be stupid? It's my opinion. I tried watching it 3 times and just couldn't get through it. That classifies as boring.
It's okay. But geez. Hallo?😊

About as real or as interesting as the lost Star Wars pre-trilogy.
So true
