In all my experience with raiding, I've found that nothing makes it more fun that playing it with people that have a similar mindset to you. This raid tier, was truly the most fun I've had raiding in this game and it would have remained so regardless of our parses or what week we cleared. I don't personally make a static and have in mind a guaranteed week I expect us to clear, I just want to have fun doing so and this raid tier was everything I could have asked for and more. So thanks Ninio for joining us this tier. You've always been and will be welcome as part of The Rat Den and I'm glad I could be your raid leader. I'm genuinely sorry you have to go through stuff like this just because we didn't clear fast enough in the eyes of people like this.

Also, stop hyping up "hardcore raiders" as if it's a mark of authority. You can be a hardcore week 1 raider and have a dogshit mentality, and people gloat way too much about "muh week 1" as if it somehow not only says something about you as a player but as a person aswell.
I really don't get why people just can't accept that people play this game for different reasons. Some play it to relax, some play it to fill a void, some play it because it's a way to evaluate yourself and feel good about yourself. One can argue about the healthiness of different motivations to play, but being a bitch about it is just plain stupid. Do what ever the hell you want, and if you can't accept that others enjoy different things then get your mental checked.

Playing with friends in an MMO. The best thing anyone can do. This person is probably so toxic that they have alienated themself from other people and are now jealous of anyone actually enjoying the game. "If Im unhappy, no one else can be happy". It's very sad.

Not even 8 months. Some of my friends formed a static to go through the entirety of Bahamut raids synced to level 50. In FFXIV the tiers last forever :)

You know somethings wrong with them when they expect you to whip out the time machine and clear fights on content in order to release guides XD You know what would be funny? If you got 7 other completely cracked out raiders to help clear a fight while you play like absolute garbage then upload that on its own. Like buffs will be everywhere, no pots, food buff falls off midpull, a bunch of deaths from greeding, you can even murder a healer at some point. @@Alninio well. L take is an L take. The whole attempt to seek any validation in barses, week1 clears, day1 clears and such indicates a very twisted view on, well, having fun? I had my fair share of pointless banter with "parse perrys" as you say. I have 3 TOP clears on RDM and they are all grey parses because I wanted to sandbag p5 to gather resources to make p6 easier and safer. Same was for p1 to make p2 safer. Same was for DSR. Many such cases. Completely ruins the parse but puts damage where it is needed the most. But trying to explain that and why it is needed to a person who only recognizes funi color numbers is...well...pointless.

I agree. Even though I used NAUR strats, I found Alninio's (and learned from) DSR guide. At the end of the day, if you understand how mechanics work, it doesn't matter what strat we use. Amazing explanations. I cleared on every tank btw following his guide
I would ignore such irrational thinking ppl, he/she is toxic for no reason and unnecessarily rude. It doesn’t matter when you clear a savage tier, and it will never matter. There are a lot ppl clearing stuff in the same pace like week 1 clearer, they just don’t raid everyday and not as much back to back,so they take weeks or even longer. It’s all about your personal time investment and enjoyment.

ngl it really doesn’t matter when you clear as long as you have fun. i could’ve cleared the whole tier week 1 but i decided to help my friends with m1s and m2s instead and do reclears with them instead. I lost out on loot and one additional book in m4s but i had way more fun and im glad i waited for them.

As a HC raider, I couldn't give a shit how fast anyone clears or how high their prog parse is, especially if the goal was not week 1 clear.
Also, regarding guides, the best guides are those that are made by people who are good at explaining a mechanic clearly in a way that people can connect with. This isn't an innate trait of everyone that is a good raider... So yeh week 1 is totally irrelevant for guides wtf.
In fact, most week 1 guides suck balls because they are week 1 jank strats. Yall don't realize how much week 1 groups just bullshit their way through mechs just to clear. It's not clean, it's messy AF and you really don't wanna be following guides for those strats anyway.

The funny thing is, this hater, never showed his in-game name or logs or anything ffxiv raiding related, and felt he could take a crown on and be a c*unt on any he felt like. personally, i love raiding, i take the challenge through pf since the abyssos tier, and ive been enjoying the time and jorney on it every damn time. This arcadion tier, i actually ended with clearing the whole tier week one, funny thing is, i had the same feeling back when i cleared abyssos week 5, and i smiled and went to bed and told myself that i did good, like everytime, and why do i do that? cause i clear is a clear, and defining a player, a real human being, on the parse, is bullshit. Clears are so much cooler than a perfect parse, and the jorney to clears should be enjoyed the way people want to do it, thats what matters most in the end.

How someone enjoys Raiding in XIV = " Nobodies Business " to judge or shame, specially when majority are doing so in a manner that doesn't hurt nor negatively impacts anyone in anyway. I joined my first sHC static this tier and we cleared week 2 as well. I'm a high parsing triple legend and can positively say, all these people hating are morons LOL. You do NOT need to be a high parser or a week 1 clearer to make a guide lmao, this is laughable. Sure week 1 clearing will help you put out an EARLY guide, but people who do guides later on usually use BETTER strats that are EASIER for people looking to find a video to study xD
Honestly in the end, when these people lose their current static or are done with a tier in PF. They just end up alone and angry with none to give a shit. Leaving them to find yet another group that don't give a shit about them. 😗

Week 1 clear for me is a challenge (and for now, due to time constraints, I can only clear the first one and maybe A2C the second one within week 1).
But yea, it's like, I'm just putting my clears out there as additional resources for curious people with no additional expectations? I PF a lot too so I don't have much expectations (and frankly, my malding tends to be directed at fucking up mechanics and hitting enrage lol). People malding over week 1 clear is just wild lmfao

I cleared Dawntrail Ex1 about a month after launch. Hahaha. Haven’t even touched Ex2. Maybe this week, we will see. Having fun is taking things in your own time. Whether it’s day 1, week 1, month 1, ten years later, etc.
Also, it was my FIRST EVER Ex clear too so I was happy with it. 😊

What is most fun is the fact that this guy is using "Lucy Pyre" as fake alias since the real Lucy Pyre is a big FF14 channel, he's just claiming for your attention.

it's sad you did not get week1 but all that means you have a goal for next time and honestly week2 but having fun with friends is worth far more than week1 clear could ever be.
The group i hang out with did not have schedules aligned so we all used PF separately and it was a slog for all of us. I got week1 but at what cost, the best part was later getting together with the group and complain about our respective experiences in the PF (how miserable 17 billion strats running around is).
i started ff14 at the start of endwalker and never got into the raid/extreme content, i would instead focus a lot more on crafting and leveling other jobs but at the start of DT i decided to change, so i did extremes for the first time, cleared ex1 and ex2 within the first few weeks.
I was curious about all this parsing talk so i downloaded that program and uploaded my data and found that my parse was gray.
Do i care? of course not, i spent my time learning the fights not trying super hard to maximize my dps, i had fun with extremes and moved onto trying savage without trying to increase my parse.
I got a day 2 clear this tier with my static but I don't play melee DPS so I really appreciate your guides and you've gotten me into playing ninja for PFing, and I might even end up taking into the next tier for prog. Week 1 clears are more about team communication and commitment than anything so it's insane that someone would consider a guide invalid just because someone chose not to run the tier. Honestly I'd rather trust someone who spent some time working out the optimizations.

I join a party for reclears on week 2 - our GNB starts with - we wont clear with this people having this gearset. Im like????? wut?? I said, it will be fine, we cleared week 1 too. I think the issue with these kinda people trying to bring others down when they see them taking a W is huge insecurity. Like they put too much of themselves in the game and care too much about a perceived competition that doesn't really exist, since raiding here is cooperative not really PvP, except for world first participants, and even then it's more a cooperative effort than anything. Mf is talking like you were running a challenge with him, and he was the only one knowing it, sadge.

Main character syndrome. Opposite of empathy. Instead of being able to see things from someone else's perspective, they believe their point of view is the default for everyone else. Like a kid who stands in front of the TV because so long as *they* can see the screen, they reason everyone else in the room can too.
We all do it to some extent, but Turkey is a pitifully extreme case. Like watching someone repeatedly fail a solo duty set to Easy.
Dudes probably stuck on m1s in PF because he has 10 IQ and can't understand the mechanics. Even if he has cleared this tier he probably did it using third-party addons that tell him what to do and when to do it so he could even clear it.

I do want to say i just checked the progress timer. Your group actually killed the tier in less total time than mine did in week one. So if you get this guys progress its very likely your group might jave spent less time in the tier than they did lol
I would prob also care way more about other people's clears and parses if no one in real life would talk to me because i'm too unpleasant to be around. But tbh, you gave him 20 minutes of attention and that's prob more attention than he's gotten from anyone in a long time if ever.
