- Can my mom handle the passenger seat of a supercar? Heading back to the auto cross with Chris Ashton, we put my 78-year-old mom in his Lamborghini. With its screaming 640-horsepower dual throttle body V10 engine, wide stance, precision-crafted aerodynamic body, and carbon ceramic brakes, Nicole and Chris discover the nuances of the 2021 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Omologata, a homologated race car for the street, at the Corner-Exit autocross in Big Bear, California.

I love that our whole family gets to benefit from this forever! She was terrified but I couldn't be happier that she came along for the ride. I had been pestering her for almost a year to ride along with me during an episode, and this Lamborghini was the perfect choice! Chris was so kind to allow it! Long live racing grannies!!!!!

I used to have my mom along every now and then. I'd go into a slide and I'd glance over at her and she'd be wedged into the corner with a little smirk on her face. It was interesting to learn that my mother had a little devil inside.

Chris is so laid back! Another cool episode with excellent driving skills. Your mom being in the car brought back a memory of my mom riding in my 67 Cuda, 340 4spd 456 gears. She asked is this this car fast? As I downshifted to 2nd and floored it her scream was louder than the exhaust and tires spinning.

A client tossed me the keys to a "regular " Huracan. I ride bullet bikes: and I instantly understood what all the fuss is about. Spectacular engineering. That's "why?"fellow car people... Hyper enjoyed the thing. Btw, same color. Just a killer rush of a mechanical tour de force. Mick can't get no satisfaction, but if you get a chance...You can...lol... Superb video Nikky J. I look forward to viewing them. Something in the way she moves. .

Back in the 80's I worked in the Gray Market in Orange County, CA. And some of the wildest stuff we worked on were the Lamborghini Countach's. We had a chassis dyno at one end of the shop and to hear a Lambo running wide open man it was something else for sure. I bought a brand new 1985 Ford Mustang GT on Dec.24,1984. The first long trip I took was to see my Great Aunt and Uncle who lived in Paso Robles, CA. On the way back home we stopped for gas and I asked my Late Dad if he wanted to drive he said sure. So we get back on the freeway now Dad had never driven my car before this trip. We are going along and he gives the car a "little" to much gas and it shoves him back in the seat which was still set for me Dad was a bit shorter than me . He looks over at me and I tell him You might wanna think about shifting sometime soon. So the next off ramp we get off the freeway and he says you can drive the rest of the way back home. He never did drive my car after that. I miss you very much Dad. But the look on his face was Priceless.

You can tell Nicole has racing in her blood just by the look of shear concentration she gets on her face the second she gets the green flag. She is definitely in the moment and in her element and giving all of the guys a run for their money. One thing that impresses me about Nicole is her ability to sit down in a car she has never driven before and drive it like she owns it. Get after it girl.

Looking at his wish list, my parents had a '68 Charger with the 440 Magnum. Not a Hemi but that thing was still fast. They sold it before I was old enough to drive it though.

Seeing a li'l old lady toolin' along in a sports car was an item on MY bucket list. I got to check that one off when I was in college, when I passed a Trans Am traveling at a leisurely pace on the highway one day and saw it was being driven by an elderly lady. So I then added an item to the list: I want to see a li'l old lady BURNIN' UP THE ROAD in a sports car. When I started watching this video, I was hoping your mom would knock that one off my list, but alas, watching her white-knuckled in the passenger seat doesn't count. But at least she got to see up close and personal the amazing work her daughter does! And it was still awesome watching you and Chris autocross that Lambo.

I remember when I was in my 20s I had a group of car buddy's that I would hang out with. Anytime one of us would get a new car, we would be all over it asking questions, admiring the engine, sitting in the driver seat etc.

Brings back a lot of memories of Autocrossing. Many years of some of the most thrilling driving. It is amazing how thrilling it can be when you have a car riding on the edge for 30 to 90 seconds at 25-30 MPH. I had my wife ride with me once ( only once), 25 sec run, 1st place in E stock in a Fiat X19 and it was 15 minutes before the tremors eased off enough for her to even get out of the car. Of all the racing I did I think I may have enjoyed Autocrossing the most.

Wow.. your mom is definitely a trooper. But what really impresses me is that you get it. By that I mean that some people have fun with a sport, others work hard at a sport, but not everyone grasps that the most enjoyment can come from the greatest commitment. I love how even though you're in someone else's bagillion dollar car, you're on camera, and this is your livelihood, when you get the green, you shut everything out and drive. I find myself calculating and anticipating while I'm watching like I'm the one behind the wheel and when you hit the mark, I'm sitting here going "YEAH!!" A lover will always out do a worker. It's obvious you love what you do and it's really, really cool that you're sharing it with us. Thanks Nicole! Keep it shiny side up. 👍
