Technically this is what car companies do. The same chassie (and engine) can be used on multiple cars for years on but the trick is to say "the all new" (very important).
There's nothing wrong about uplifting a platform. If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

Lmao if you'd know a bit more about Hiluxs you will know by the shape of the back windows and back side of the cabin that it clearly is a fucking old gen Hilux. Facelifting this trucks is something pretty common and easy to do.
