    Just ordered my slicer with the black blade, $140 on BHQ is crazy. And my first Demko so I'm super hyped. Thanks for the review & info.

      It's an awesome deal for the AD20.5! I paid more for my AUS-10A and K110 D2 Models with Grivory Scales! I bought an extra set of them for $139, too... Awesome, Deal!!! Right on! You did really well on your 1st! Enjoy! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

      I love demko too. I got the gray bhq slicer one and a natural jade clip point ad20.5 from Lynch Northwest cuz it came with deep carry clip. I just got a magna cut ad20s American made one. Ive forgot about my spydercos lol im going for OG scales next from Original Goat 🐐. Icy blue with a deep carry lynch nw clip for my 20.5 slicer.

      Right on! The Shark-Lock Folders are my personal favorites. And, if you want to mod them for G-10, I recommend Demko Knives. John Demko is the one who makes the Knife Scales. And, for Metal Scales, I recommend Original Goat. In my opinion, they're the best when it comes to Metal Scales. And, Skiff's for the Bearings and Lynchnw for the Pocket Clips. That's how I modded mine.
      Other Company's that make great Aftermarket Parts are Flytanium and RGT. I hope this helps... :-) Have fun!!! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

      A little late, but I just ordered one as well on super sale. Excited to get it. Never owned a Demko knife.

    Thanks for the tip about loctite! I like your knife case. I love that model too.

      You are so welcome. Yes, don't use Loctite with Ultem. And, yes, the Slicer is my New Favorite AD20.5 Model. The one you're referring to now has the Thick, Original Goat, Stonewashed, Shark's Tooth Textured, Aluminum Scales, and Jimped Aluminum Backspacer Kit; I absolutely luv it. These are the best AD20.5 Folders, so far, in my opinion. Right on! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

    My AD20.5 is the DLT Exclusive clip point version. Also love carrying that. The finger grooves really remind me of the Manix 2. The Manix is also a favorite carry of mine. I've got an XL and a regular S30V version along with a couple of Lightweights. The ballbearing lock is also a very strong lock. I don't see how anyone can break that.

    • @Kris_Stiletto

      I absolutely luv the Spyderco Ball-Bearing Lock and the Spyderco Compression-Lock! Both, are awesome! But, the Shark-Lock is my personal favorite Fidget Lock. We have so many awesome choices nowadays. It's a good time for Folding Knives. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

    I have the dlc/gray g10 slicer model and its great. Just ordered the version in this video. Theyre on sale for $140 so if the scales arrive cracked I'll just pick up some aftermarket ones. Really great price on a 20cv big-pivot demko!

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely, Brother! These are the best Demko Knives, AD20.5 Folders, in my opinion, so far. And, this Sale is the best AD20.5 SaIe I have ever seen!!! I bought 4 of them two Sets of Satin and DLC Ultem, 20CV, Slicer Folders!!!
      And, the Ultem Scales on my Satin Model (the Ultem Scaled AD20.5 I use) have held up perfectly; no problems at all. Don't use Loctite and don't overtighten the screws and I think you'll be just fine.
      I carry 2 of mine, the 1st Set. I modded one with Skiff's and Thick, Flytanium, Purple G-10 Scales. And, the other, I left stock, except for Skiff's; that's my Ultem one. And, zero issues to report. But, then, again, I am not destructive with my Blades... :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

    Mad Respect!! Your craft is A1 and your collection is beyond fabulous. Which 10 knives would you chose from your vast collection if you were literally limited to ONLY 10 knives? Not a list of faves by category or type but a simple list of the 10 knives you wouldn't leave behind. For you I know that seems impossible to select just 10 from the hundreds you own but please humor youtube land. My layman's 10 in no particular order would be - The Espada XL, Talwar XL, WTG Hemlock Ares, Tops Operator 7, Mayhem S35VN, CS 5-Max, OKC SP-10, Holdout XL, Recon-1, Civivi Praxis. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and insight✌️

    Use white Teflon tape instead of loctite. Works great and doesn't destroy plastics.

      Awesome tip! The next Video I do with these, I will put that info out.
      That sounds easy and perfect for anyone to do. Hmmm.... I need to do a Video on this... If I do, is it okay to give you credit for letting me know about your idea? Hmmm.... :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

    I have two slicer ad 20.5s too. I love them. $120 at BHQ was a steal to me. Have you tried the new cold steel FM-1? Just got that & love it too

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No! :-) But, I want to get that one and the Swift III to try out. The FM-1 is a totally New type of Folder for Cold Steel; I got to try that one. And, with the Swift III, I have the Swift II and would absolutely luv to have an Assisted, 4" M-4 Blade with the Atlas-Lock, Folder; that one sounds and looks real cool, too... :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

    Hey Stiletto! I’m loving my FreeReign! Do you have the Benchmade fixed Adamas or the presidio II full size? I was wondering what your thoughts were! Thanks

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't... :-( But, I do have the D2 and the Cruwear Adamas Folders. And, if the Adamas Fixed Blade is just a Fixed Blade version of the Folder, I would expect it to be very tough. Benchmade Knives have become really overpriced, in my opinion. So, I haven't purchased any in a long time. I like them; I just don't like their prices... :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

  • @HalmHammerhand

    I just ordered an Ultem Slicer for $119 and I had a $5 gift card. So it was a steal. I’m not overly worried about the ultem cause I plan to put on Phat Goat aluminum scales eventually.
    I’d actually like to find a thumb stud to fit in the back of the cutout. Even if it affects the “slicey-ness”.

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Right on! I have two of those Satin Finished, Ultem, Big Pivot, Slicer Folders, and I absolutely luv them. One to carry and one to Collect. I have swapped out the Bearings for Skiff's. Myself, I absolutely luv the Ultem Scales, so far. They make the AD20.5 super lightweight and thin. :-)
      I, also, purchased the Phat Aluminum Scale and Backspacer Kit from OG. I ordered it when I first bought my Ultem AD20.5 Folders. I didn't think I would like the Ultem Scales. But, now, I do.. :-)
      Also, I purchased a Set of the Black, DLC, Coated, Ultem Slicers, too. I purchased a Set of Thick, Purple, G-10, Scales from Flytanium and installed them. The other one is a Collector.
      This is another super awesome Sale! If you've been wanting to try out the Shark-Lock Folders, this is the way to start... :-)
      Well done, Bro! :-) Enjoy! These are some awesome AD20.5 Folders. And, myself, I like these without the Thumbstud, better; it makes them even easier to Fidget with... That's just my opinion. :-)
      And, I like the Spear, Dagger, or Drop Point Blade the best for these. Why? I feel this Blade type turns the AD20.5 into an awesome "Small Self-Defense Tool."
      And, these are CPM-20CV Blades!!! Yes, this is one of the Great Sales of the Summer! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

    • @HalmHammerhand
      @HalmHammerhand หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Kris_Stiletto That’s awesome man. This will be my first shark lock. I’ve always wanted one.
      I may end up liking the ultem but I like bigger, more substantial knives. Weight is never an issue for me.
      Someday I’d love to own a full size titanium AD20. The 20.5 is just what I can bring myself to buy at the moment haha.
      I really like the slicer blade shape. Seems like it would be the most useful overall. I usually like thumb studs better. But I’ll just have to see when I get it.
      I just couldn’t pass up that price for 20CV. Like $30 cheaper than the grivory and D2 or AUS-10A.

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Exactly! I paid more for the AUS-10A and K110 D-2 Models I own that are not nearly as nice as these. It seems like there's a lot of great Summer Sales this year! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

    • @HalmHammerhand
      @HalmHammerhand หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Kris_Stiletto Mine came in a couple days ago. I really like it. Wish it was a little bigger but can’t complain for the price.
      It has a little lock stick but I’d say it’ll break in.
      Apparently they are discontinuing the slicers. The Gray G10 ones were gone when I ordered mine. I asked them if they were discontinuing the ultem as well and they said Demko hadn’t told them.
      Well the next day or so the satin ultem models say out of stock and discontinued as well.
      Glad I grabbed one when I did.

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Discontinuing the "Slicers?" Why? In my opinion, these are the best Blades for the AD20.5... Wow!!! :-( Man, am I glad I bought two Sets of the two Ultem AD20.5, 20CV, Big Pivot, Slicer Folders. I think these are the best , so far. Myself, I have grown to absolutely luv my Ultem Models, the Satin and the Black DLC. Wow!!! I think these will go up in value once they are gone... :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

  • @uddos

    somehow i like this ultem too..

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, it's different. And, I find it pleasing to look at. And, even though it's really just a fancy plastic that has special properties that regular plastic doesn't have, I find it attractive, and it feels good in hand. It feels different from regular plastic. I like it, too, uddo. And, so far, so good... :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

    Ad20.5 with 20cv for 139! Sold

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely, Brother! This price is lower than the initial cost of the K110 D2 and AUS-10A Models with Grivory Handle Scales... I bought four... Two to make my personal Folders and the other two to Collect. I must say, also, that I like these better than all of my other's, except my Titanium Demko AD20.5 Folders. I totally agree, Bro! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

      I really didn't know what the buzz was about till I got a Demko in hand. I've had it for 6hrs and can't stop flipping it open and closed.. driving my wife crazy. I do have one question for buying aftermarket scales. The ultem model is considered a "big pivot" correct?

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, the CPM-20CV, Exclusive, Models at BladeHQ are the Big Pivot Models that use the exact same Skiff Bearings that the AD20S uses. To me, these are the best ones to get. Personally, I like the Spear or Drop Point Blade Shape, without the additional Thumbstud better than the others. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
