Hearing about Uno broke my heart. My dog had epilepsy and I know how scary seizures are. Also be extremely cautious and patient once they wake up from a seizure sometimes they can forget who you are for a few minutes so just give him some space to come to. For my dog once he got on medication we were able to control his seizures, but in high stress areas he would have an episode. But he was the most loving dog before and after his first seizure. I’m so sorry to hear about this I am praying for the best for Uno. ❤️

My senior guinea pig started having seizures this Sunday... my heart goes out to you. Vet visits, medication, syringe feeding... she's doing incredible today. They call them puppies when they are babies and she acts just like one. I have all the belief Uno will pull through with all your love. Biggest hugs! 🐹🫶

I have a lab and he suffers from seizures as well. He has finally been put on daily medication. It is the scariest thing to witness and what we do is just try to keep calm and pet him and give him encouraging words until he gets through the seizure. It sounds a lot like you are describing. He kinda of loses use of his back legs and shakes uncontrollably and it seems like all of his muscles are tensed up, but also very conscious while it is happening. Since he has been on medication, they only happen once every few months and last for 2-3 minutes. They had been lasting 15-18 minutes before medication. Our vet said it is a common disease in retrievers. Sending y'all lots of love and wishing the best for Uno and y'all!
I'm auditioning and my Fiancé is tagging along. He loves taking me hiking, climbing over things we probably shouldn't. As for me, I'm great at supporting and keeping the party going and making sure everyone is enjoying their time👀👀👀

Lizzie perhaps the guy wearing headphones while at work had a sensory issue. My son who has ASD sometimes has a very hard time doing absolutely anything when several conversations are happening at once around him. He can't focus on anything specific being said, his body reacts and it physically hurts him to walk and move, and depending on how long it lasts, he can end up having a mental breakdown and it can take DAYS to get him back to normal. Music helps him drastically. We can go to the fair or a concert with thousands of people no problem as long as he has headphones or there is loud music that drowns everything else out. Just a thought.

Uno’s symptoms sound exactly like my Springer Spaniel’s, including it happening after physical activity. My girl was diagnosed with epilepsy and was put on medication for it for the rest of her life. She lived a very long happy life, free of anymore intense seizures. She did have a few very mild episodes even after being on meds but nothing alarming. Although hoping that Uno will be fine, if it is epilepsy, it can be very treatable.
I literally needed this in my life today. It’s been a rough week. My mom who’s an addict has been falling and she hit her head and had bleeding on the brain. She’s not willing to do anything to get better. I know you can’t force an addict to want to get better. But anyway. I just needed this little break in my day! Love the sip!! And both of you!❤

Well wishes for Uno. Sounds just like my dog’s symptoms when she developed a heart condition. She lived for two more happy (chill) years after being diagnosed. Fingers crossed answers are found.

i agree about the airpods in a work setting it's so unprofessional. customers don't know the difference between a food runner vs. waiter, etc. and are going to try to talk to them as well
As a dog mum of a little lady who has regular seizures, there are a lot of ways they can manage them. My girl was having cluster seizures but now she has one every few months and is thriving.

RYLAND - regarding Uno! My sisters dog ate part of a palm tree that is poisonous to dogs. The dog started off having seizures and eventually got worse and didn’t make it. The vets and ER vets had no idea what was going on. I can’t remember the name of the palm, but please look it up or have an expert over to let you know if you have one.
They didn’t realize what had happened until they went to get a new dog and the adoption place required that they didn’t have one of those palm trees on the property. That’s when she found out about the palm tree and that she had one. The symptoms matched what had happen to her sweet dog.
I have a dog who is epileptic the first seizure is always traumatizing. Medication has helped us but my heart goes out to you. I hope you and your family figure this all out!

I’ve been a nurse for 27 years and also had a lot of dogs. My dog had a seizure from dehydration before. He didn’t drink enough water and it was hot/too much activity. He never had another one and that was 10 years ago. (He’s 13) I had another dog that had a ear infection and he wouldn’t eat because of the antibiotics and then he was playing outside. He also had a seizure . The vet said it was probably low blood sugar. He never had another one and had a long healthy life. ❤
I saw a pic yesterday of a little girl with red hair wearing a shirt that said "god gave me red hair because he knew I needed a warning label" and it immediately made me think of Lizzy! 😆

we had a dog that lived to be 18 who had a seizure almost every day (not kidding), and we just got used to it, and just sat with him and pet him until it went away and he would return back to normal after a few minutes. vet basically just said it's his normal. my current dog has had 3 and they've been spaced out he's 11 now. the first time is really traumatizing but the best thing you can do is stay calm and just pet them until it goes away. unless it's lasting more than 10 minutes it's usually not cause for worry.
One of my dogs also has some days where she seizes several times. It’s sucks, we give her lots of love and pets. She’s typically back to her usual self after a few minutes. I hope Uni is ok ❤
Sending love and prayers for Uno 💜 I had a childhood heeler who had seizures from a younger age that would happen every couple months or so. He lived to be 14. He never was on meds but after being in the vet field myself he probably should have been on phenobarbital. I hope the specialist can put your concerns at ease and I know Uno will live a long amazing life.

I also have a lab who’s now 11 years old. She’s been have seizures since about 3 years old. All tests came back normally but we started her on meds and she was on them for 5ish years on and off. On them she wasn’t herself and never sure so we eventually put her on cbd oils and it’s a huge change for her! Keeps the seizures at bay and keeps her comfortable as an older dog. Not sure if this will be unos case but want you to know she’s a happy and active old lady regardless of her epilepsy 💕 wish you the best
Sometimes when dogs are very active their blood sugar can drop very fast and cause a seizure and it won’t show up in blood work. It’s common in hunting dogs that hunt in the cold. I work as a vet tech in PA we have so many bird dogs come in with that issue. Hopefully that’s the case because some sugar before and after activity can help. Wishing UNO the best❤❤❤

I just gotta say this week’s podcast really spoke to me. My elderly dog whose been pretty healthy for 14 years old, just started randomly having seizures this year. Because we got married January 21st, we just can’t afford the $4000 MRI to determine if it’s epilepsy or a brain tumor, so we’ve started seizure medication this week and finally had 24hrs with no seizure. Ours are also very violent looking but never last longer than 60 seconds and no bowels released or noticed brain damage. Thank you for speaking so candidly about this issue because I gotta say, it’s traumatized me seeing my dog go thru this. Hardest thing I’ve had to psychologically overcome. I’m thankful I’m not alone right now. Praying for Uno and for my boy Skeeter. 🖤
I am with Ryland on the AirPod conversation. Sorry Lizzie but damn he probably hates his job what if the one thing that keeps him going is he can listen to music or a podcast while he works? Like don’t just assume the worst from this guy. You got your food just move on. Everyone wears AirPods these days. It’s a new thing in society we just have to get used too.

I'm praying for sweet Uno!!! I've had 2 cats with seizures and it's terrifying and so sad! They both got them from flea spot treatment so I haven't used them since. 🙏🐶❤️
If you like a well chopped salad use kitchen scissors. That’s what I do. Put the lettuce in the bowl, chop chop with scissors. Perfect bite size pieces!
Big paws up lifted for Uno! I really do enjoy you all getting into That Advice Though that you do not pull any punches and go right to the heart of the issue and possible ways to work to get to the actual issue so the podiance can take some of those ideas and see if they help.
My dog has epilepsy and we give her medicine every 12 hours and she's totally fine! She gets a random one every so often and it's so scary to see, but I guess they don't feel anything. Sending lots of love ❤
My yellow lab started with one seizure and over a few months eventually had his first cluster seizure. He was perfectly fine in-between. Once he had his cluster, we got him on Levetiracetam ER (Extended Release) and he hasn't had a seizure since. Hopefully Uno just needs to get medicated, and he'll be on his way. Good luck! Those seizures, especially full body ones, are really, really scary.

Sending love and prayers for Uno 💜 I had a childhood heeler who had seizures from a younger age that would happen every couple months or so. He lived to be 14. He never was on meds but after being in the vet field myself he probably should have been on phenobarbital. I hope the specialist can put your concerns at ease and I know Uno will live a long amazing life.

I also have a lab who’s now 11 years old. She’s been have seizures since about 3 years old. All tests came back normally but we started her on meds and she was on them for 5ish years on and off.
On them she wasn’t herself and never sure so we eventually put her on cbd oils and it’s a huge change for her! Keeps the seizures at bay and keeps her comfortable as an older dog.
Not sure if this will be unos case but want you to know she’s a happy and active old lady regardless of her epilepsy 💕 wish you the best

Sometimes when dogs are very active their blood sugar can drop very fast and cause a seizure and it won’t show up in blood work. It’s common in hunting dogs that hunt in the cold. I work as a vet tech in PA we have so many bird dogs come in with that issue. Hopefully that’s the case because some sugar before and after activity can help. Wishing UNO the best❤❤❤
I feel many of us here are dog mommas and like dogs more than humans. I love hearing about and seein the pups 😍. I like knowing I’m not the only maniac who treats my dogs like kings.
I just gotta say this week’s podcast really spoke to me. My elderly dog whose been pretty healthy for 14 years old, just started randomly having seizures this year. Because we got married January 21st, we just can’t afford the $4000 MRI to determine if it’s epilepsy or a brain tumor, so we’ve started seizure medication this week and finally had 24hrs with no seizure. Ours are also very violent looking but never last longer than 60 seconds and no bowels released or noticed brain damage. Thank you for speaking so candidly about this issue because I gotta say, it’s traumatized me seeing my dog go thru this. Hardest thing I’ve had to psychologically overcome. I’m thankful I’m not alone right now. Praying for Uno and for my boy Skeeter. 🖤
I am with Ryland on the AirPod conversation. Sorry Lizzie but damn he probably hates his job what if the one thing that keeps him going is he can listen to music or a podcast while he works? Like don’t just assume the worst from this guy. You got your food just move on. Everyone wears AirPods these days. It’s a new thing in society we just have to get used too.

The air pod thing for the food runner is Redick. Like let them be. Some of us have to zone out to not off our selves because of how shity our jobs are. Maybe that's where that person was out. Maybe they have horrible co workers and this is there healthy way to drown them out because they have to deal with horrible people. Like idk I hate how she just came across.

I'm praying for sweet Uno!!! I've had 2 cats with seizures and it's terrifying and so sad! They both got them from flea spot treatment so I haven't used them since. 🙏🐶❤️
If you like a well chopped salad use kitchen scissors. That’s what I do. Put the lettuce in the bowl, chop chop with scissors. Perfect bite size pieces!

I really do enjoy you all getting into That Advice Though that you do not pull any punches and go right to the heart of the issue and possible ways to work to get to the actual issue so the podiance can take some of those ideas and see if they help.

My dog has epilepsy and we give her medicine every 12 hours and she's totally fine! She gets a random one every so often and it's so scary to see, but I guess they don't feel anything. Sending lots of love ❤
My yellow lab started with one seizure and over a few months eventually had his first cluster seizure. He was perfectly fine in-between. Once he had his cluster, we got him on Levetiracetam ER (Extended Release) and he hasn't had a seizure since. Hopefully Uno just needs to get medicated, and he'll be on his way. Good luck! Those seizures, especially full body ones, are really, really scary.
Sending all the love and healing vibes for Uno! My family dog, who was a standard poodle, had epilepsy and they were grand mal seizures so this podcast hits home🥺 full moons always caused her to have even worse seizures
Hearing about uno breaks me, especially because my dog of 11 years just passed last week. That feeling of fear is awful. Keeping uno in my prayers 🤍
