I LOVE THIS. I always always always adore when artist who mainly draw cartoony or not so realistic art, and try to draw realistically. It’s probably my favorite art channel trend thing (even though you were doing it as practice, ya know what I mean... hopefully). This is really good!
Me too. I actually started an art class recently, so that I can learn how to use water, oil paint, sculpting I think (haven’t gotten there yet) and more. It’s really fun I learn a lot.

It is VERY hard to do traditional portraits without messing up. But the more you practice the better you get. Maybe not perfect but definitely always improving

Yeah by the end of it I was not as interested in rendering the shirt, but it would look weirder if I didnt include it. I dont mind it so much but you're right XD
Aww that's okay! There are LOTS of different cheap alcohol based markers that you can find online these days! Of you ever find any I definitely recommend you check them out
Try Michaels! They always have 25-40% coupons going on (usually every day). With a coupon, you could get the copic ciao (the thinner and cheaper ones) for a pretty good price. I would get one pack whenever I went there. Amazon also has great prices.
