Got my house at 30 just shy of my 20s
now 37 was tough living like a monk financially for 3 years saving over 50% of my low salary for a deposit but it did teach me to save after the fact as I was used to crunch saving.
    Great advice as usual Paul.

What is your advice for college students investment-wise or even income-wise who want to start planning for the future e.g. building a home and starting a family in 5-10 years/ late 20's or early 30's

Hi, Mark here from the askpaul team. Thanks for commenting. My best advice is to start saving now, even If it’s €10 a week it will stand for you. However it’s not all about saving every penny you make, you need to enjoy your money in your 20’s!

I didn't start investing until 6 months after finishing college. I didn't have enough money to invest during college. I started investing as soon as my emergency fund was built up.

I'm only investing my money in human capital now in my 30's. I wish I'd done it a few years ago!
