One more tip. Research the reduce research cost attachment for the research center as soon as you can. a research center with 3 modules will make research 50% cheaper

Another optional early-mid game tactic I found was to research a center. At the time I had high security so I researched the security center that rewards u cash for how high the bars are. I only did the one and it gave me an extra 20k that increased as I played. Then I got 2 more security centers in other areas of my park and they helped keep me out of the red during storms or a guest counts dropping. Idk how efficient it actually was compared to their cost but I found them helpful
I don't really get the whole, build a rushed park just to beat par time. I play Challenge Mode because the Campaign is insanely easy and boring as a result. Challenge Mode lets you play in something that isn't a sandbox so it's just more fun. I take my time with it and just play it as a regular tycoon game, don't really care what time I get.
I personally like to thank you for these helpful and pretty good tips. I just recently finally completed Isla Pena on Jurassic difficulty with most of these tips. I used mostly Herbivores, focused on three buildings for tourists, Definitely used aggressive traits, will admit that I did panic on a few twisters due to sometimes fund problems but luckily the save option really did help. However I like to say that in my honest opinion, besides the aggressive trait, the solitary and cross species traits help use more mix up Herbivores and allowed me to get a high dino rating immediately. The Best tip you had was the dig yield for sure. By the time I finally got 5 stars after 15:48 exact, I had at least 17 million funds. Honestly did one thing different on the dinos part. I had a minor pen only with Dilos, but I did have one other Carnivore and it was a high rating T. Rex. Trust me during twisters he was a pain, but otherwise again, thanks to your tips I finally finished it! :D :D :D
Nice to here these tips for how we not as experienced players can do Jurassic difficulty. And to be honest I don't really like the update they did to the coastal Indominus to me it looks like a darker version of the alpine skin. Also I think they should also add a skin reward for medium and hard difficulty in each one of the islands. For example in Matanceros you would have the Edmontosaur skin for easy mode, vivid Struthy for medium mode, vivid Sino for hard mode(witch I wouldn't mind if it was a dark purple with pink because then it would be a real pipo) and the Jungle Cerato for Jurassic mode.
Tip Number 4 is not entirely true. I've had Ceratosaurus in my park early in the challenge and the species appears to be complete angels. They never broke out during storms or otherwise.
Ceratosaurus is a great carnivore tbh, their only downsides in Challenge mode are their price, the fact that you can only have 3 per enclosure, and the fact that they're carnivores and can't bunk with any non-giant herbivores. However, their comfort level is better than Dilo's and they have a great rating
@@aleksandrafurczon6717 raptors sucks. Just one raptor unleashed my all herbivores and and carnivores and destroyed my park. I use herrerasauras instead of raptors and they are even better then Cera and dilo in terms of comfort

In it, the elder scrolls orcs are combined with Warhammer orcs (or is it Warcraft ns) and the ability to dig included so that roman stile trench warfair can exist.
I agree with the Carnivores being bad besides Ceratasarus and Dilophosaurs but its only bad if you have too many of them. Carnivores like the Metriacanthosaurus are ok to have in the park since their comfort rating is the highest out of all carnivores I think, but the Cerats are cheaper so theirs that. Also having only 1 Trex, Spino, or Giganto can be alright, when a Storm comes you can use ur ACU to tranquilize it until the storm passes. Thats what I do and it pays off....simply put besides ceratasaurs you can put just ONLY 1 other large Carnivore Species, either Trex, Spino, or Gigant. Indominous Rex can work as well but it can get out real quick so its better to either dont have a IndoRex or have an ACU literally right next to the IndoRex enclosure.

I hate the challenge modes so much lmao. I get why they might be fun to some people but to me it's just sooo annoying to think about spending 6+ hours grinding just because my Jungle Skin themed park now is missing a species and so on.
You can have Large carnivores if you use the stress inhibitor gene. If you modify a carnivore's stress threshold to roughly 60% then they won't break out during a storm

Honestly, I've had the large Carnivores in my Jurassic Difficulty and while they do break out one thing that I've learned from certain mistakes is to be prepared for storms. This is mostly just how I play but so long as you are prepared (IE: Shelters and opening them whenever you have a storm warning) then you can potentially have the bigger carnivores without too much trouble. The bigger issue isn't them breaking out but them killing guests. I've not gone back to my challenge yet but a lot of the tips are certainly helpful and I hope to get that done before the next update comes out.
At first I didn't want to play the game on that difficulty because I was scared, but I just managed to finish the 5 Star on Isla Pena on Jurassic. Not in time, but I did it for the skins anyway. Your video made me confident enough to give it a try myself! After this I can say, Jurassic Difficulty is just a pain to play and no fun at all.. I'm not sure if the reward was even worth it. The game isn't meant to be played this way. I mostly made it, because I was saving and loading all the time I get a contract: Is it good and doable? keep it. Is it going to take me more than 10-14 Minutes to complete? I reload the save right before i get the contract and hope for a better. A storm is coming? I save right before it and watch the damage.. was it too much, I reload and sometimes avoid the damage at all. The most difficult part is the start, because your first dinosaurs become sick reeaally quickly and you cannot really afford a ranger station at that moment. But if you get past this moment and sell Fossils and other stuff, keep doing contracts and save and load and save and load, maybe 10times in a row.. you can make it at the end, beating the final star with maxed out hybrids.
Fine selection of tips, even as someone who bet the challenge allready #9 was new and very helpful. I did'nt know you could delete and rebuild the fence, in fact, I always hopped into a ranger car and followed the twister pretty close to immediately repair all the fences, but your tip sounds better. I am super hyped for the challenge mode to hit on every island sites, and to unlock all those skins and achievements, especially Pena carnivores only, so now Diplophosaurus-Combi there! :D
Here are some of my own tips for Jurassic Difficulty 1. Research the Capybara genome to decrease the Dinosaur’s comfort threshold. 2. Get some carnivores who’s comfort is below 60% or 70% 3. Research the Praying mantis genome to decrease your animal’s social needs because dinosaurs like Parasaurolophus and Muttaburrasaurus needs some much social need. 4. When a you get a notification about a tropical storm incoming open your emergency shelters immediately before all hell breaks loose because if you do it too late, your carnivores might break out and kill the guests.
I made a guide too on how to do this challenge before I looked at other guides, I was happy to see how certain tips overlapped but I felt upset because my dumb self wanted to use all dinosaurs except for the hybrids and I made it more difficult than I needed, however the diplo/dilopho/bary/cerato/metria strat and a handful of unique species was what saved a pena run for me and I will implement that more for the other strategies
Ceratosaurus x3 = 306 Dilophosaurus x12 = 828 Mamenchisaurus x4 = 648 Brachiosaurus x1 = 140 Total Rating = 1922 All dinosaurs are compatible with each other, no social/population limits are exceeded.
Interesting that you do Clothes Shop, Arcade, Restaurant. I've always done Gift Shop, Fossil Zone, Restaurant. It's slightly cheaper, but I don't know if it's easier to research either way though.
Also: Build multiple Ranger Stations and research the accuracy and reload speed upgrades. Your rangers have terrible aim in Jurassic difficulty, and you need to be able to cure your dinosaurs fast if there's an epidemic. I learned this the hard way. I had several dinosaurs die of rabies because my rangers took too long to cure them. When I played again, I gave them the accuracy and reload speed upgrades (two of each, with the last slot going to Ranger Scheduling), and they were able to treat my dinos pretty quickly; I didn't lose any of them to diseases.
Beat Jurrasic difficulty today at 6:02 on Pena. It's easy after 2 stars, my own tip is to save just before cancelling a bad task then reloading it until you get an easy or better task, they change every time.
I just completed my first Jurassic difficulty run...in 11:59. Would have been closer to 11:30, but I had a tornado hit when I was on 4.9 stars, and it took me a bit to get everything fixed and my Camaras back in their cage.

Great guides my friend! I would appreciate your feedback regarding one thing I cannot exactly figure out, and that is dinosaur variety penalty! Do we know what exactly causes this? And to what degree? Do the genes and skin have to be completely different in every single dinosaur, and in different slots too? Because I do this and somehow I still get a penalty. Is it because one type of dinosaur can only be in one park, and there is a penalty if there is another on a different island too? I just don't know. Regardless I still achieved 5 stars in every park but I am dying to know how this exactly works. Thanks!
But the Ceratosaurus is also quite awesome when you start. They never break out if they are satisfied, they are cool, have a high rating (with some genes even higher), they aren't to expensive and don't require much.
My first playthrough on Jurassic difficulty failed due to a storm. Twister and diseased dinos happened at the same time and I didnt have enough money. Im about to try again though.

Sorna is super easy on Jurassic, the spinosaurus and stegosaurus, are still there walking around in the wild.. you can gather 5 or 6 in an enclosure right off the go.
This was much easier than beating it on medium under 4 hours to be honest lol I still beat it under par time on my first attempt. As long as you pace yourself, have dig yield, use few carnivores, keep up on treating disease as fast as possible and follow tornadoes around and demolish fences instead of using rangers then its super easy just takes longer than usual. The first 1-2 hours is mind numbing though as you crawl your way to 1 star running on pennies
I'm furious, I've restarted this difficulty several times and keep getting SO unlucky with the quests and sabatoges. -_- My current run I'm about an hour in and have gotten sabatoged 4 times, which means I have to keep my ranger station.
@BestInSlot I do this, but always fail early because i get in the red! My Struphi's dont generate enoufh people incoming, and contracts get 'stuck' when you cant declibe one because of the costs! What is the best start nowadays? Still Struthi? Because it doesnt work on all the times I tried! Thanks!
All these tips are good but there are somethings that can be changed, not all large carnivores are bad, Cerato, Bary, Metria are some of the most easy going examples with Cerato and Bary being extremely cost efficient, also while this was made before jp era, know that for most islands (not base Sorna) jp era is a cake walk compared to world era
i did pretty well with my carnivore but only because i was getting loads out of my expeditions and the carnivore became fantastically lucrative as they keep killing, it was costly though and i passed by a narrow margin tho so i wouldn't do it again if i wanted an easy win.
Uh I was adding stuff like those buildings then added a different building like toy shop and shopping went up more than it did each time I put up a lot of cloths shops because I already had a lot of cloths shops
I hard disagree on researching those attractions. If you can get the science, innovation, and military centers researched and placed, you’ll make a lot of money from them. They might not be great for speed running, but when you are talking about 8+ hour games, those centers give you a lot of return on investment.
Never really experimented with them as, by that point, my economy was solid. This video is of course all about doing this as fast and efficiently as possible though, there's definitely alternate tactics you could do.
I'm pretty sure I covered my entire park with shelter against dinosaurs only 5 mins after sounding the alarm, to see people still running around and soon eaten :(
I've tried to do Jurassic Challenge Mode several times and it starts off going well, but then I hit a point where the profits are just stagnant. I hit a cash value and the profits creep up so slowly, I can't move forward.
If you get a GARAGE contract just reload the autosave. Game saves when you complete a contract. Then you just 'reroll' till you get a good one. Paying 200k to dump a contract sucks. 3 contracts you cant do too early and you're toast.
Carnivores are bad you say?... I highly disagree, herbivores are hellspawn, I have almost never had any problems with carnivores. Carnivores have actually saved my Park more than they’ve harmed it. And as if to prove my point, a whole lot of herbivores just broke out in my Park. I have to disagree with almost everything you said, just saying I guess we have a lot of different problems.
I’m on Jurassic difficulty on Isla Matanceros and it is soooo hard. 4 hours in and still only 1.5 stars. I just can’t get the cash flow to move things forward by the time I’ve got money for another Dino another died. All dig sites are exhausted and gave me rubbish yield. Help!! 😥
I’ve followed this guide, I’m at 2 hours with only 1 and a half stars. Only 3 enclosures and 6 species... My missions have been awful. Jurassic difficulty is tough!
What i dont get is the variety that its 0 for you, right now i have like -560 or so in variety and i got lots of diffrent dino's like almost all you can get i dont know how to fix it.
During tornados I would also follow the tornado in a jeep and fix it almost instantly

I suggest not worrying about skins. Get just enough skins just so your dinos can have more rating. Don’t worry about swapping out different colors

Beat Jurrasic difficulty today at 6:02 on Pena. It's easy after 2 stars, my own tip is to save just before cancelling a bad task then reloading it until you get an easy or better task, they change every time.
I just completed my first Jurassic difficulty run...in 11:59. Would have been closer to 11:30, but I had a tornado hit when I was on 4.9 stars, and it took me a bit to get everything fixed and my Camaras back in their cage.
Can you update this for the return to Jurassic park? PS you could use the behaviour genes to make stuff like indominus more calm and easy to keep

I would appreciate your feedback regarding one thing I cannot exactly figure out, and that is dinosaur variety penalty!
Do we know what exactly causes this? And to what degree? Do the genes and skin have to be completely different in every single dinosaur, and in different slots too? Because I do this and somehow I still get a penalty. Is it because one type of dinosaur can only be in one park, and there is a penalty if there is another on a different island too? I just don't know. Regardless I still achieved 5 stars in every park but I am dying to know how this exactly works.

But the Ceratosaurus is also quite awesome when you start. They never break out if they are satisfied, they are cool, have a high rating (with some genes even higher), they aren't to expensive and don't require much.
And you can put them in with dilos, raptors, or a big herb later on
Metriacanthasaurus is clutch in this mode because it’s so docile.
My first playthrough on Jurassic difficulty failed due to a storm. Twister and diseased dinos happened at the same time and I didnt have enough money. Im about to try again though.

Sorna is super easy on Jurassic, the spinosaurus and stegosaurus, are still there walking around in the wild.. you can gather 5 or 6 in an enclosure right off the go.
Dont worry about the par time it really doesnt mean anything at all it doesnt do anything to the unlocks
This was much easier than beating it on medium under 4 hours to be honest lol I still beat it under par time on my first attempt. As long as you pace yourself, have dig yield, use few carnivores, keep up on treating disease as fast as possible and follow tornadoes around and demolish fences instead of using rangers then its super easy just takes longer than usual. The first 1-2 hours is mind numbing though as you crawl your way to 1 star running on pennies
I'm furious, I've restarted this difficulty several times and keep getting SO unlucky with the quests and sabatoges. -_- My current run I'm about an hour in and have gotten sabatoged 4 times, which means I have to keep my ranger station.
Do you have to also beat par time to unlock the skins? Or just get 5 stars on any time?

@BestInSlot I do this, but always fail early because i get in the red! My Struphi's dont generate enoufh people incoming, and contracts get 'stuck' when you cant declibe one because of the costs! What is the best start nowadays? Still Struthi? Because it doesnt work on all the times I tried! Thanks!
Best in slot would you recommend troodon you can have 14 of them or are they not as popular as dilophosaurus

All these tips are good but there are somethings that can be changed, not all large carnivores are bad, Cerato, Bary, Metria are some of the most easy going examples with Cerato and Bary being extremely cost efficient, also while this was made before jp era, know that for most islands (not base Sorna) jp era is a cake walk compared to world era
70/73 achievements unlocked! isla peña was hell for me and now these last 3 left! that challenge mode is real pain in the *** 😑

i did pretty well with my carnivore but only because i was getting loads out of my expeditions and the carnivore became fantastically lucrative as they keep killing, it was costly though and i passed by a narrow margin tho so i wouldn't do it again if i wanted an easy win.
Uh I was adding stuff like those buildings then added a different building like toy shop and shopping went up more than it did each time I put up a lot of cloths shops because I already had a lot of cloths shops
I hard disagree on researching those attractions. If you can get the science, innovation, and military centers researched and placed, you’ll make a lot of money from them. They might not be great for speed running, but when you are talking about 8+ hour games, those centers give you a lot of return on investment.
Never really experimented with them as, by that point, my economy was solid. This video is of course all about doing this as fast and efficiently as possible though, there's definitely alternate tactics you could do.
Increased social would be pretty good with lots of dilos

Because if you cant do it in time you played 12hours for nothing...

I have completely all but jurassic mode without help but I find jurassic is a very different way to play
As soon as you get a storm warning tranq all the dinos that freak out. It just saves so much hassle.
What happens after you Win the Challenge? Do you get to keep the park?
I'm pretty sure I covered my entire park with shelter against dinosaurs only 5 mins after sounding the alarm, to see people still running around and soon eaten :(

I found that you can just add a quick piece of fence by the broken area and it fixes the hole. Then I delete afterwards

I've tried to do Jurassic Challenge Mode several times and it starts off going well, but then I hit a point where the profits are just stagnant. I hit a cash value and the profits creep up so slowly, I can't move forward.

If you get a GARAGE contract just reload the autosave. Game saves when you complete a contract. Then you just 'reroll' till you get a good one. Paying 200k to dump a contract sucks. 3 contracts you cant do too early and you're toast.

You could still make more dino its just if you only feeds the ceratosaurus over and over
Carnivores are bad you say?... I highly disagree, herbivores are hellspawn, I have almost never had any problems with carnivores.
Carnivores have actually saved my Park more than they’ve harmed it.
And as if to prove my point, a whole lot of herbivores just broke out in my Park.

I’m on Jurassic difficulty on Isla Matanceros and it is soooo hard. 4 hours in and still only 1.5 stars. I just can’t get the cash flow to move things forward by the time I’ve got money for another Dino another died. All dig sites are exhausted and gave me rubbish yield. Help!! 😥

I’ve followed this guide, I’m at 2 hours with only 1 and a half stars. Only 3 enclosures and 6 species... My missions have been awful. Jurassic difficulty is tough!
