Came here (very cool) actually looking for how to project the image onto a canvas or a wall. Always heard "camera obscura" as the term there, so I must be missing a better description. I helped when muralists painted a huge wall on which a small line drawing was projected large, and 110V was needed. I believe you can make one at home that will project 1-1 onto a canvas as painters did before gadgets existed. Great video, and I'm betting somebody here knows what's up - little help? Thanks 👍
Hello i went to the website and cant find directions to build the directions to make the up right image obscura and would like to make it equaliy as small as the one in the photo
The right-side-up design is described under ataridogdaze.com/science/camera-obscura/#Camera_Design_Alternatives (There are no detailed specific instructions. Just follow the diagram -- put the mirror inside angled at 45 degrees and put the lens on the side near the bottom.)
my lens is quite big... will this still work? should i make the hole the same size as my lens or follow the size you've provided, so that it covers some of the lens surface
The focal length of the lens should be at least 1 or 2 inches (25-50 mm). The last paragraph on my web page mentions actual photography: ataridogdaze.com/science/camera-obscura/
Photography is so cool, it must have been magical to play with a camera obscura back in the day. Thank you.
Those f-stops were neat
Thank you very much..I was looking for some cool stuff to build with my kids ;-)

A year too late to probably be helpful but I think what you're talking about is a camera lucida :)
Is it possible to use shoe boxes to reduce the contruction time and to make smaller versions of your camera so we can use 8 by 11 card stock?
Yes
The link has expired 😔
Thanks for letting me know. The website should be back sometime soon.
@@graychang99 The missing link.

can we use the f stops then if we don't use magnifying glass?
Yes but the image will be blurry. To get a sharp and bright image, you need to use a lens.

Make the hole as big as your lens. Then the image will be brighter.
Can I use wood instead of cardboard?
Yes
Can you also make it without the lense?
You can make it with a pinhole, but the image will be dim. For a larger hole and brighter image, you need a lens.
What are the Materials and tools needed.. please🙏🙏🙏🙏
See the website: ataridogdaze.com/science/camera-obscura/
Could I use my cannon mark four d lenses? How do I get the camera to take real photos on developing paper?

Is there a lense in there or just a hole?
I used a lens. A small hole or pinhole will work but the image is dim.
So easy and nice good job
where is full video???
There's only the brief introductory video. For construction details, go to the website: ataridogdaze.com/science/camera-obscura/
can we make the lens with magnifying glass and if can, then pls give me some details of the different configaration
sorry! i would write without the magnifying glass!
You can make the camera with just a small hole (no glass lens), but the image will be dim and not very sharp.
so how much this lens costs ?(indian)
about US $1
Thanks! this is usefull for physics class!
Is this a convex lens right
Yes
So nice and thank you
where can i get my hands on the lens
Almost any magnifying glass lens will work. Get one from a stationery store, drug store, or dollar store; or shop online.
Karlos como estás?
Camara exagonal
What website?
ataridogdaze.com/science/camera-obscura/
OK thanks u r video I like very well
Thanks
Ibn al~hathayn made the first one
Nice & Thanks Sir :)
Thanks!
This is not camera Obscura. Camera Obscura have no lenses. Just hole.
спасибо
the point of a video is to record a video, not compile loads on images
You didn't watch till the end, did you? 😂😂😂
@@Domini86 No, I did, the comment remained in place. I don't delete my presentiments
I mean, technically a video is made of a series of images moving fast enough to look like motion
