  • Do referees subconsciously favour big clubs, particularly when they’re at home? How do we feel about players mocking each other’s celebrations? Why does Gary think things will definitely come good for Darwin Núñez?
    Gary, Alan and Micah also sing the praises of Michael Olise and discuss whether Gareth Southgate should be looking to try and snap him up before he makes a senior international appearance for France.

    All Bolton fans watching this knowing how unbelievable Bradley is. Played well above his level for us. Recovers well, aggressive press, runs, good decision making, can overlap, underlap, shoot, cross. I went as far as saying the best right back we ever had, and he was playing in league 1!

    As a Bolton fan, I was almost certain that Conor Bradley (and James Trafford for that matter) would both get loans to promotion-chasing Championship teams and then be ready for the Prem in 24-25 because they were outrageously good for their age and League One level. But to see Bradley putting in these performances as Liverpool and then Trafford, although having a tough time and getting no help from his defenders, is showing his potential with some impressive saves, they’re exceeding even what I thought they could achieve this season.

      In 8 premier league seasons he has 2 very good years with 20 and 29 in the league. In the other 6 he never gets higher than 12. That is not what you'd consider a prolific striker. Not trying to talk him down he's one of the best there's been, just pointing out a striker doesn't need to be guaranteed 20 goals a season to be elite.

On the surface their biggest issue seems to be similar in that you mentioned they both struggle to convert their chances, but Nunez seems to have you guys believing he’ll come good, whereas Jesus doesn’t seem to be seen that way. Wasn't part of the whole reason it was brought in in order to make things fairer, partly through correcting those 'clear and obvious' style ref decisions; instead, it's made it so that the officials have way more influence on the outcome of a match, so in fact the complete opposite of what it was supposed to.. it's disconcerting, matches (and therefore even trophies and titles) could be decided by a guy or 2 in a room potentially miles away from the stadium sitting at a computer screen.. who do these 'officials' support, has anyone even looked into this? Is it not feasible they could sway the outcome of games? I'm not saying they do this I'm saying it's possible, and therefore more oversight surely needs to be put in place. Same goes with all the other new officials brought in to officiate VAR.. if the idea is to reduce the number of mistakes committed by refs and other officials who could affect a game (i.e. linesmen) then that hasn't happened at all, in fact the mistakes are even worse as they still make them even with the technology, so what's the point exactly. Not to mention it totally ruins the flow of a match with the constant stop/start discontinuity

      gives trent time to show whether he can focus in the right of 3 midfield role, as opposed to being the hybrid right back

      I think it's also about the amount of options we currently have at RB at the moment - Walker, Trippier, James etc.
      If Trent does successfully transition into midfield and performs at a high level, you'd have to think that would be good for England.

    Caisedo was "unbelievable" at Brighton and see what Poch gets out of him. So, no great hopes for positive change once all the injured come back. Plus, do all other teams play at full strength, injury wise? Newcastle, for sure, don't.

      Newcastle are 8th, 19 points off the top and went on a terrible losing streaks while they had injuries. They finished top 4 last season. Injuries destroyed Newcastle’s season and they’ve improved massively since a few of the players came back.
      It’s actually impressive that someone could make such a stupid comment.

    Appalling? 😂😂 Appreciate the laugh boys. Slow motion replays prove absolutely nothing because you don't get to see the force of the impact compared to the players reaction. So all we can judge from that is he probably made a meal of it. Players have a responsibility to make an effort to stay on their feet, which the Chelsea lads didn't in any situation

    Alan is so lenient with injuries to Newcastle now, Tottenham before, Eze and Olise at Palace but when Chelsea have minimum 6 injuries throughout the whole season he only bangs on about money spent and doesn't care about injuries...

    Hang on a minute.... LFC had the core of their trophy winning midfield leave at same time last year plus lost Bobby F. In recent months have had Robbo out, TAA out, Matip out, Jota Out, Mac out, Thiago out, Salah away now out, Endo away... To name a few.... Plus Diaz parents kidnapped.... And Chelski lost 3 players.... Really!!!

    Question. Did Darwin Nunez hit the woodwork 2 times or 4 times.??? Djordje Petrovic pushed his first effort onto the bar, he pushed his second effort onto the post. That means Nunez hit the woodwork twice. You can not say Nunez hit the woodwork 4 times, when the keeper pushed 2 shots onto the woodwork, if he did not touch them, then its 2 goals for Nunez. the keeper actions were decisive actions, they were saves. Reminder did TTA hit a shot that hit the woodwork and went in off Berd Leno V Fulham and its a own goal due to the keeper touching it. Decisive is what its called when a keeper diverts the ball away or into the nett, so Darwin hit the woodwork 2 times only

    • @richp1975
      @richp1975 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So by your reasoning if a keeper gets a hand to a shot but it goes in then its an own goal.

    • @ToniPhillips-tc9cl
      @ToniPhillips-tc9cl 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@richp1975 No , grow up. I stated that the keeper saved both shots touching them onto the woodwork. Darwin only hit the woodwork twice. Reason the keeper took decisive action in stopping each of the first two attempts, decisive means if he had not, the outcome would be different, The word is decisive... To give context, I stated TAA free-kick Verse Fulham, was classed as an own goal, because the decisive action of the keeper, the ball was not going in till the ball came off the keeper. If you are to blind to read the comment, that your problem

    Lads lads lads, are we missing out on the fact that nkunku got kicked from behind and then flinged his legs backwards. How does that make any sense? Literally doesn't make any sense. Alan had a big fuss about Jota but doesnt care about this one, wonder why. Gallaghers was small contact but its a bad touch and hes only got one aim after that and its to dive

    FFS if that is now a kick in Alan's book,. maybe he should go back and look at some of his own stuff...
    First Chelski pen claim the attacker is playing for it and now Alan can see a dive or just running into someone... The 2nd in real time he barely touched the back of just foot and certainly not enough to fling him into the air like he had stood on a mine.
    Make your mind up Alan is any touch a pen or is it only against Newcastle??
