I agree these are the 3 things I have that are kinda expensive.... BUT, I bought my Mac from eBay second hand, the iPhone 11 is actually in my opinion very good value for money (vs iPhone 11 Pro) + headphones were a joint birthday and Christmas present, and are worth every penny 😋
The phone isn’t really that much compared to other iPhones and being in the Apple ecosystem is in my opinion a good investment

Good headphones can last a decade. My Phillips are over 15 years old, and I still love them.

I just upgraded from a pair budget Altec Lansing bluetooth headphones over ears to a budget model from Sony, and the difference in sound is impressive. Too bad you can't enjoy that 😞. I get it, then, that you only use speakers?

they're good but the only thing that I don't like about them is at the end of your line, they leave like, a spot. Idk how to explain it, maybe the ones i got are just over saturated haha
That's very nice. I would recommend to use the laptop screen with the monitor to have 2 screens to work with. Sometimes you have to do some research on the internet while looking at your documents on the other screen. It lowers my stress.

Absolutely agree with the bose headphones. I bought myself them as a "well done. You got an unconditional offer for a PhD"/ birthday present; they are the second most expensive thing I own, and they are absolutely worth every single one of the £260 I paid. I *live* in these babies. The noise cancelling is impeccable, I put these on and add I can barely hear a thing; add music and I can hear absolutely naff all outwith my own head.
Big up the different camera angles on this! making the most of what you have got is essential love it!

I ordered myself a 27" monitor yesterday after seeing your videos and instagram story a few days ago with about 5 windows open!! It arrived at 9 this morning and I've already have such a productive day - also wishing I'd brought a monitor months ago!!!

Just a quick tip. Start learning on how to type on keyabord with all 10 fingers. You will see lot of difference in your productivity.

I spent $0 on my extended monitor. My dad took the lcd screen out of his old broken laptop and the case of a broken monitor, did a little bit of this and that and it is now my extended monitor.

I definitely need noise cancelling headphones! I use my regular iphone earphones but I still can distracted by noises around me!!
They are expensive, but honestly so so good! I'm wearing mine right now - I probably spend about 10 hours a day wearing them haha
They are expensive, but I'm honestly not kidding when I say they are worth every penny. The noise cancelling is incredible. Put them on and i can barely hear a thing. Add music and I cannot hear anything outside my own head.

Lovely set up. A small advice, look into a monitor riser. It gives some extra storage, like when you have to write and etc, you can slide the keyboard and mouse, under the riser and can have more space for your books and notebooks.
Not to mention it will rise the monitor up to eye level

You REALLY need an Ipad Pro, so you could spend 0 paper and don't lose anything. You can use GoodNotes or Notability to write your skteches and notes. You can also use moleskine diary to write your logs and goals. Plus you could connect it to the monitor.
