OK - a few things: It's just the T, not the metro. Your best seafood options besides the incredibly packed, incredibly touristy and cliche Quincy Market are Luke's Lobster, Legal Sea Foods or the Union Oyster House (if you're situated downtown). Ben Franklin was a founding father, NOT a President. There are better aquariums and zoos in other cities tbh, if that saves you some time on your trip and you're torn on what to do. If you like museums, then the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is a must. The Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) is worth it too if you have the time. Fenway Park during baseball season, even if you're not the biggest baseball fan. The Public Garden is technically a separate thing from Boston Common and is prettier. A swan boat ride is cheap and a must do if you're visiting in the summer. As others have said, a short trip outside of Boston on the Commuter Rail (or Ferry) to Salem is definitely worth it too.
Im going to be staying near Back Bay for Valentines Day you mentioned the swan ride during summer. Would I be able to still do that in winter and where would that be at it sounds like the exact type of thing my girlfriend would love
I just found you guys and think you're adorable. Such sweet and kind spirits😊 I grew up in Lexington Massachusetts which is the town Paul Revere galloped to to tell the Minutemen "The British Are Coming"! Lexington is where the "First Shot Was Heard Around The World" Lexington and Concord were pivotal in the beginning of the Revolutionary War. Both full of history and very picturesque. Lexington is a couple of towns away from Cambridge and Concord is our neighbor. You will love both of them. Patriots Day is a perfect time to visit. Enjoy the reenactment in the morning and the Boston Marathon in the afternoon!!! Enjoy! Come back soon¡!
We love hearing about your town of Lexington! It sounds like a place full of history, and we appreciate the tips for when we can hopefully visit one day! Thanks so much for watching!
Also known as Faneuil Hall fo us Bostonians! Don't forget to go to the north shore....Salem, Ma. also has a lot of history. As a native Bostonian I get a kick out of watching people go to all these places because they literally are places that only tourists go to. Never really thought of Boston as a tourist attraction just thought of it as home.
Totally know what you mean! We feel the same way in San Francisco! It's always amusing to see what other people are so fascinated by in your city that you've already gotten used to.
Same thing with NYC where I live. The tourist be acting like it’s so great and nice and to me it’s just NYC. Don’t even do the stuff or go to the places I see tourist doing and going too
@@laurablocker2807 I'm actually back in Boston right now. It's like someone took all of the stuffing out and left the shell. It is nothing but a tourist attraction now, there's very few if no real Bostonians left here anymore. But if you want to see some history I would say go to the public gardens ( Boston Common) check out the swan boats check out frog pond take a walk on the freedom trail and everything it has to offer and maybe go down to the waterfront to Rose wharf. I'm actually heartbroken after my experience today. Literally feel like a foreigner or a tourist in my own home City.
Visited Boston years ago for a day because they had Boston Carnival. We came on a bus trip from NY, where I used to live. Never got to explore the city. I hope I could visit and enjoy the sites.
My daughter and I visited Boston last September. We tried the clam chowder at the same place, my first time ever having clam chowder lol! Boston was so much fun, but you really do need to visit Salem. More of a small town feeling, with lots to see and do!
I love Boston! There’s NOTHING that I didn’t like, and it’s my favorite city to visit, aside from Orlando, FL! There’s lots of history, so many great restaurants to eat at, and lots of amazing attractions to see!

Hello. Awesome video! Where do you recommend staying at? Which part of Boston to take advantage of the sights and sounds! The city pass is also an excellent choice. Is there a hotel you recommend too? Thank you and enjoy y’all’s travel! 🤙🏼
Thanks so much! We stayed at Holiday Inn Boston Bunker Hill Area. It was good since it was a 10 minute walk from the metro, and cheaper than the hotels right in downtown. However, keep in mind that it will take some time to get in and out of the city this way. If you'd rather be right in the center of the action, a hotel in Waterfront area or North End would be best!

I grew up in south Boston, lived in nyc, Chicago. Been to LA, San FranSicko, SD, Seattle, Portland, Philly and many major cities. Nothing compares to Boston. The perfect size. Wicked history. Currently live around the area, if your trip is in the next 5 months or so I recommended going to a Bruins or Celtics game if either team is in town during your visit. Boston is probably the most passionate sports city in the country, and the Bruins and Celtics are both really good teams this year. It should be a very exciting environment for your trip

I'm going to Boston next week and this review was so appreciated. When did you go? I see summer time clothes but I'm wondering if May 1st would traditionally be summer clothes or winter clothes weather in the Boston area.
As a local you never know what the spring weather will bring. Definitely pack long sleeves and a jacket but also bring short sleeves. Night time still can get very cool in the '40s. This year it was in the '90s in April but then we had to bring in our plants in mid-May due to freeze warnings. But either way spring is a beautiful time to visit.
Driving in Boston is not a fun situation. The streets are old and curved, not laid out in blocks like most modern cities. If you were just doing the Boston tourist sites there's no need for a car. You might want to hire an Uber depending on where you're staying if you're not up to walking to dinner in another part of the city. Try to make sure you stay near a T station which is your best option but it closes down around 1:00 a.m.
If I were born in Boston, the neighborhood I would like to visit is North End! This is because it boasts countless trattorias, as well as Mike’s Pastry Shop.
Great vid and love the format and content, but just FYI, the MBTA isn't safe. Since covid, the subway/light rail has not regained its commuters and ridership demographics show that it is mainly used by more poverty-prone/high-crime communities. On top of that, it is the leading transit system in the US for fatalities and injuries and has a poor maintenance record due to its age. At this time, they are considering tearing up huge lengths of track to completely replace because their typical maintenance isn't working. Large sections of the lines also have horribly slow track restrictions due to poor track conditions.
Love this video! So helpful and entertaining. I was considering doing a trolley tour, but it looks like the city seems walkable. In your opinion, would it be worth it purchasing a trolley tour?
The city definitely was walkable, but at the same time we LOVEEEE to walk. Our step count on the days we were in Boston was definitely over 20k per day from all we did. So if you or anyone in your party has mobility issues, then maybe stick to the trolley.
There's a hop on hop off bus that is reasonable and the driver narrates the history but for a little bit more money you can do the duck boat tour which is a military vehicle for land and sea. Lots of fun.
Very informative being that I am heading there in a couple of months w my family. I am a native to NYC and never made it to Boston before. However, I must say Benjamin Franklin was never a president of the United States but the governor of Pennsylvania back in the day and yes he is on our $100 dollar bill.....

Good video 👍🏻🇺🇸. One tiny thing… Benjamin Franklin was not President🤪
Haha we realized that after we already posted! Doh!
That lobster Mac and cheese looks good
IT WAS AMAZINGGGGGGGG!
should have gone on a tour of the state house. It has a great amount of state history and country history.
Thanks for the recommendation!
Im going to boston for 3 days. Should i get the 7 day metro pass for $22? Or what do you recommend?
If you plan to take it every day, then yes! That would be a great option.
I’m in Boston right now
That's awesome!
for me as a european boston looks just like a typical european city :D old buldings in the middle of modern buildings and skyscrapers
That's true! We loved the architecture here!
Thanks!
You're AMAZING!! Thank you thank you thank you.
thank you for this vlog
Our pleasure 😊
thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Very informative being that I am heading there in a couple of months w my family. I am a native to NYC and never made it to Boston before. However, I must say Benjamin Franklin was never a president of the United States but the governor of Pennsylvania back in the day and yes he is on our $100 dollar bill.....
Have the best trip! Martin is still learning his US history and definitely won't forget this now hahaha
