A long time, I'm devoted Brighid! I went to visit St Brighid's Church in Kildare. Goddess/ Saint, sure I'll continue praying to her for better times in our Planet.😘💖👍☘🔥☘🔥☘🔥🌏🌎🌍
I'm just confused. So it sounds like Brigid was originally a Celtic pagan goddess until the church in their usual way to convert pagans to Christianity made her a saint with a full load of legendary stories to bind the act. I guess that's alot better than what they usually did to convert pagans to Christianity. Excellent explanations. To me she will always be a God-dess.You do know your history on these matters.
I am not sure if you knew but Brigid is so popular through roman Catholicism she was incorporated into the Voudoo and Hoodoo pantheons here is one TH-cam on this incarnation: th-cam.com/video/81WqAJ3HYEA/w-d-xo.html
The spiritual meaning of my birthname is Bridge, The Beloved Has Risen. I'm also a redhead, poet, healer, a Smith, and spent a decade in a place called Oak. Not Christian, but have attained Christ Conciousness. Fun, right?! Remember Goddess within you. Our Inner G is our energy.
Many Lives of Saints have scriptural touch-points. The theme of abundance without diminution when giving to the poor is reminiscent of the loaves and fishes given out by Jesus in Matthew 14:13-21.
I’ve been a devotee of Brigid for many years and fascinated with Celtic culture. Very glad I found your channel sir.
You're welcome. Glad it's of some use.

I agree with you Sir!!! The church would have humanity believe that they are the authority on all things spiritual and they are not.

Diolch yn fawr. Brigid was loved in Wales and called Ffraid :)
Croeso. Indeed, and much merrymaking was had at her festivities.
