Nice one! Living in Nottingham reminded me of arriving at New Street, walking to Snow Hill and taking the train to Wolverhampton Low Level, sitting on the wall between High and Low Level and bunking the shed. Early 60,s so still plenty of Kings and Castles still around. Great days with salmon paste sandwiches and Tizer to keep us going.
A nice selection of motive power and liveries. This is a little before my time, I'm all blue and grey, so presumably this was post end of steam in this region?
My Grandmother said New Street was a big hole in the 20's when she was young. Still the same congestion now. The concourse is ok but no room to develop platform area
Snow hill, the best station in Birmingham, we were robbed !, thanks for posting
Dont think ive ever seen footage of new street with green diesels before.....what a gem.
This is simply brilliant. I wish I could remember Snow Hill like this instead of a giant carpark
Green and maroon - excellent. Great footage

Yes the green liveries and the maroon coaching stock were very pleasing, the br corporate blue was never as good , in my opinion

01.29 a rare view of experimental xp64 blue D1733!
Awesome isn't it! In the period when its red cabside decor with double-arrows has been removed. Incredible 🎉😂
