I love your videos, Lia. I'm a bit of an impulse buyer too but I'm trying to be more minimal and zero waste, so I'm decluttering often because I never used most of the things I bought on impulse anyway so there was no point keeping them
1-in 1-out is enough to keep me minimalist without falling off the wagon. As much pleasure I take in buying something, I know I have much more pain getting rid of something first. The purchases that remain are the ones that satisfy both my left and right brain.
I feel I am going in the right direction in life. This came about from watching TH-camrs on minimalism, healthier eating and many other related areas. Really appreciate all the TH-camrs who share their personal growth as minimalists with others. A great way of living.
Hi Lia, great tips for holding off on buying things. I’m from the USA and we are trained to consume, consume, consume. So it’s really hard not to. But this year I am trying a “Low-Buy”. So I can be very intentional about what I am buying. I love your videos! Robin
Hey Lia, there's some great advice here and I can relate to so much of what you're saying, I'm doing exactly the same with items as I come across them or use them I'm automatically assessing their condition, use or relevance in my life and decluttering and upgrading as needed.
Another wonderful video 🥰 I love your channel and I’m trying hard to be more sensible with my spending and I’m trying hard to declutter. I have 3 children so it’s not always easy. Your video makes so much sense and I love when you do a longer one x
Right now I am doing the less is now challenge for the month of Jan.... I have filmed up to day 25 but it is astonishing the amount of items that have come into my home from other people. It seems it was from x-mas gifts. b-day gifts or just people, family or friends bringing stuff randomly into my home. Once I started to think about the item and where it came from I remembered all the times people came to visit with bags... many bags of stuff and told me "hey I cleaned up, maybe you can use this stuff" and then left the entire bag with me to deal with....
Not the topic of the video, but I was curious what brand of deodorant you use? I have been looking for a zero waste option but just don’t know where to start?
At the moment I use a homemade deodorant. But before I have used one by the brand "we love the planet". It comes in a small metal box and I think a tiny piece of plastic around. There is also a new brand called "nuud" they lit their deodorant in sugar cane "plastic" ☺
I'd love a video about the things you wanted to buy but finally didn't :)
I would as well.
