- After 2 years I made a return to Flagstaff, AZ. Last time I went I stayed in my hotel room most of the time and didn't get decent shots. This time I made sure that didn't happen again. I traveled as far West as the station and as far East as Winona, AZ. Foreign power was outnumbered by BNSF. But what was foreign was a decent catch. And for foreign leaders, there are only 2 and they were an amazing catch since they were back to back. I ended the trip with a bonus shot of the Grand Canyon Railway. In all this trip was another memorable one and I hope you enjoy this.
Excellent video! Nice the monster grain train with nine engine and the intermodal with a SD70Ace on the point.
Greta video Sir! Flagstaff was one of my favourite places I went to to on my US trip! Great town and lots of nice scenery....if you know what I mean!! And the trains were good too, next time I will get a car and spend more time trackside.
Cheers Gregg.
Great shot and awesome sound coming from these units
random as balloon in the 1st shot. nice production mate, looks beautiful on the big screen :)
haha, I'm glad someone noticed the ballon, glad you enjoy it

Awesome catches man!! That place is so nice and I miss it!
it is, when it isn't windy, lol
Beautiful little station and great sushi bar behind it
Awesome train videos, I use too live in Flagstaff I would shoot some train videos and pictures.
I like flagstaff airzona beautiful country up there ❤
gotta love that ballon at 1:00
Great shots Nathaniel! Would love to visit that sub some day
once you do you can never leave, trains were passing every 10-15 minutes
Awesome! The busiest subs up by me are Fallbridge and Portland subs. About 40 trains on each sub on either side of the Columbia river. One is BNSF one is UP.
I likevflagstaff Arizona beauitfull country
also, a good place to railfan is about thirty minutes down the line to the west at the next amtrak station, in williams junction. There is never anyone there, and theres some bnsf track work equipment, such as rails, ballast hoppers and rails, and the like.
Also, if you go into town, you can see the grand canyon railway equipment, and maybe even the daily train
Yeah, the Grand Canyon train is at the end of the video, it's a great place to go
Awesome video😊☺😊
Which side of the tracks is the station located by? Never been there before.
Cool I love flagstaff
I got off a Amtrak train there from los angles
25:36 stay off the tracks!
42:31 4479 from the Kismet Train Collision.
I was just there, about a week ago
So many railfans at the beginning
Not railfans, tourists
too much warnsignal to hear...up to a point it is really annoying.
Wind noise is very annoying. I always stop watching as soon as it starts. I like to watch these videos to hear the power of the trains but the wind drowns out the sound of the train. Get an external mic and put a wind sock over it. Cheap and easy solution.
Wayne D As much as it helps, a mic just isnt on my priority list. It does not happen often, so i often dont see a need for me to get one.
