Man, watching this makes me feel slow in my runs, and then I check your channel just to see you’ve done S-ranked speedruns too in 10 minutes. Satisfying to watch though, love speeding through this game with the music and atmosphere!
Also, if you happen to see this - how did you track Judgeball so well? That looked insane, was it purely jetpack or what do you utilize to stay within melee range?
Judgeball is kind of an RNG-machine... If you get good attack patterns it won't move at all, so you just crouch on its head and melee downwards. The one i got was all right, where it moves slightly, but slower than you do, so hovering with Jetpack is good enough. Actually it can be done much quicker as I got too far away multiple times. If you are unlucky, Judgeball will get a shield or start rolling all around the field, so you can't keep hitting it.
@@rainyskyzz_ I see, thank you - I enjoy Roboquest but I'm honestly not that impressive at it, although one thing I have been wondering is that for example in your run when you get to Haven City - Corrupted, how come you choose to manually jump/boost yourself back out of the Corrupted Rooms like at 7:08? In my mind I'd assume the launch pads are far much faster, plus you can probably get more momentum from that to boost yourself further ahead, no? Just a thought that made me curious, would love some insight!
The timer starts again when you hit the jump pad and for some rooms, the jump-pad-path is clunky and long, so on average you save some time by not taking them
GG, toaster + burn flaregun is a very strong combo for sure. I am starting to wonder if we risk rng and go movespeed, armour, so we can trigger corn, which is technically more dmg than critting.
If I can get my hands on corn i always choose the movespeed and armor buff from dancing blade, as it is far more damage and even gives better movement and survivability
@@rainyskyzz_ so something I am worried about that I have not tested... corn has the same wording as strange mask "more than 15%" which means 16%to trigger it, this means the movespeed armour upgrade wont be enough to trigger it.
And I also just realised I'm dumb and you meant we should maybe risk taking the corn-proc upgrade without having corn, as I would have gotten it later in this run anyways
@@rainyskyzz_ I think in this instance it would have lost time, since you would not have crit for the boss so would have been slower. I thought it meant that as well, but I noticed strange mask was masks triggering at 15%, corn is harder to tell if it is triggered or not short of dealing dmg which is a pain.
damn that's fast- why does your game looks so different though? Is it because it was 9 months ago and they added stuff in between? I love that dagger animation and the art for some of the abilities. And does that mine launcher thing still work?
It looks very different because this run was from the latest early access patch and the game has had it's full release since then. A sub 5 minute run is no longer gonna be possible, thanks to another level and boss-fght being added to the end of the game. Minegun jumping does still work tho, so you can still get crazy high speeds.
@@rainyskyzz_ recon is still the easiest class to fight iris tho. Jetpack, triple jump, grappling hool, and you can constantly slash at her face without getting hit at all
This run was from the early access where the perks and upgrades were different from how they are now. In general melee recon was nerfed with the full release (and even recon as a whole). If you saw me not taking dmg from meleeing an explosive bot it is likely due to the immunity frames blink provides.
@@rainyskyzz_just wondering, when You're done with the corrupted temples of platforms, why don't you take the yellow spring? It'd go faster wouldn't it?
@@Dzaimon8562 the timer is paused from completing the corrupted room to opening the door, but the door opens immediately when you touch the launcher. You save a few secs during a run by not taking it.
"ah ok, he's speedrunning the game, bet he's got some busted weapons somehow"
"ok what the hell is going on"
The earlier build of the game looks so similar, yet vastly different from the current build now.
The perks/upgrades for Recon looks insane.
Ye they were all redrawn for the full release
Cutlass go brrrr
Seriously awesome run, so satisfying to watch

Only found Roboquest like a week ago, but this makes me want to try speedrunning it. Hell of a run, looked clean af
