Hypnotic !! Sometimes, less is indeed more. It's incredible to realise how many drummers actually find it harder to just play simple and minimalistic repetitive figures like this without going all over the top (bit like the singers who think warbling 20 semi-quaver notes in quick succession immediately makes them better than those who just sing without all those fake X Factor histrionics!!)

Hi. I’m new to drums. Any workout suggestion to be able to play up to 200 bpm (8ths and 16ths)? My current speed around 130. Thanks a lot.

Tough question. Pace yourself don’t rush, it will take some time. You need to activate the fingers and have a steady fulcrum. Keep the amplitude low, don’t use force.
To be able to play single stroke 16ths at 200bpm, means you have to be able to play 16th notes at 100bpm with one hand. Practice each hand separately until it is easy to keep it for extended periods of time. But be careful not to overwork your wrists. Good luck!

@@DrumApe And like 5 minutes each hand every day? And what speed to start at? Thanks again!

Yes 5-10 a day with each hand sounds good as a start. Please make sure you make stretching exercises for your wrists before and after practicing. TH-cam has a lot of videos on the subject. Good luck!
