LAND OF LEGENDS! Skies of Arcadia - Park Spotlight 11 #PlanetCoaster - เกม
To all those who have been asking for me to do a lets play of a Project. While I have NO CLUE what it is like to do one. My new Project A wooden coaster themed To The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim is my next project. And I am currently recording as I build it.
That's awesome Brian. I can give you a quick lesson. Essentially you just speed up the footage and start a new recording while watching the footage in your editing software, and just talk over it. Then you take that new recording and track the audio under the current 6x speed video! :D Done and done!

water effects sadly had to be limited for FPS, Name was a overlook actually named Blueheim. special shout out to the Building by Jonny5 and Papa for Papas curse and sector n5..
..and i need to fix that tree on arcadia rising when out of work lol.
Brian, you absolute legend. This park is bloody gorgeous. What's more, the coasters are superbly smooth and well designed. It's such a let down when grand parks have terrible coaster physics (you see it a lot in these park spotlights.) Not this one! This is truly unforgettable and I'll think of it every time I click the terrain tools.
Bonus respect simply for your name being a mix of two of my fav musicians, Brian Eno and Jon Hopkins. =]
Thanks for the high praise. As mentioned this concept has been in the works in many ways ever since 2002. As a lifetime coaster fanatic it is nice to take the experience of the 212 coasters I have ridden and apply that love to one of my all time favorite games come out with such acclaim.

Pretty much all of these parks are fantastic, but you have done it again, Brian...yours is now my favorite, because it's not a recreation and yet it seems more realistic than anything else, while at the same time the rides are as crazy as they can possibly get without killing you.
But this is from someone who has ridden only a very few coasters in his life. Still can tell that many of the rides on here would not physically work or snap my neck in real life. =p Which is fine, it's a game, after all.
Brax1982 Thanks, this was my first project for Planco. Currently I am, having finished Westworld and Sindrigosa, working on World of Legends and a coaster that makes Arcadia Rising look like a puppy.

Yeah i say everybody, because you said there are some buildings from other people, like you and papadodu and he modified to fit it perfectly. But my mind is blown right now so yeah hahahaha!

Since real life roller coasters are checked and maintained daily, could you imagine walking to the top of Arcadia Rising every day? That'd be so hard on your legs!!

Came back to watch through the series again want to go back and play some planet coaster and was warching videos for inspiration with this park is the music playing on each coaster you playing music or the creator setting it up to go with the ride in game cause wvwr alot of the music fits so well

FYI. The Tree on AR, Blueheims name, and other bugs I saw in video have all beem fixed.

Not sure if this is the best place to ask this, but how would you go about building a huge tree like the one you see at Animal Kingdom? Also, is there a way to alter the lights so they look like stars when placed in a cave? (So they don't necessarily provide a lot of illumination to the surrounding walls, but look like little pinpricks of light hanging in the air.)
I don't have this game yet (my current computer would most likely explode if the game was brought anywhere NEAR the game), but I plan on changing that at some point in the near future.
It would be very much possible. The best way would be to use the landscaping tool and play around with textures and lighting. Then use shrubs, trees, and other flora to fill in the details.
Landscaping a tree with the terrain tools is actually pretty easy. I've been teaching this to the creator of Avatar, and we should hopefully have an episode coming out soon featuring Home Tree at night from Avatar! I showed him how to use little white box lights to make little fire flies, which is similar to the stars idea you are looking for. That might peek your interest and get you inspired even further! :D Best of luck upgrading that computer, can't wait to have you join us in the fun! :D
I will definitely have to play around with the tools once I get my computer figured out. Unfortunately that may not happen for a while. My Dad (he's more versed in computers then I am) estimates that I would have to save up at least $1,000, and I'm currently sans job.
Thinking about gooig back and doing some tweaks to make that Grendel ride crazier.

All these videos where you're forced (fortunately) to walk through the park via the paths similar to how a patron would makes me think, how cool would it be if they implemented a system where you create your own little NPC patron (nothing too complicated, like one of those Wii characters but with the Planet Coaster faces and such) and you can follow it around in first person as it experiences the park, with little options such as setting its path if desired (random default), sliders to control how often it visits shops and stands, what seats he takes on a ride, etc. This way, you can truly experience the park as a guest would and really get to see the queues and landscapes, etc. shine.
Basically he/she is always there wandering around your park as you build it, and whenever you want to, say, test a ride in its entirety; from entrance, to queue, to ride, to exit and all the surrounding stuff you can quick select the NPC from a menu and set its path to that ride, swap camera to first person and watch as it walks to it, rides it, then leaves - and you can control the direction the camera faces while the NPC does this, so you can still look around.
Stuff like that.
If you go into the Scenery tab, and search for "Tegidcam" this is an easter egg that pops you into a first person POV cam. so you can walk around your park on the ground as a guest without having to be tied down to an actual guest. While in this POV, you can hold shift to move at walking speed. :D

The music on these coasters are amazing. Is it Planet Coaster soundtrack? If not, where can i find this music? I can get really motivated listening to this music.
I add in my own music to the coaster experience, most of it is royalty free from Kevin Macleod's website! Some of it is just out of the royalty free TH-cam library. xD The background music in between the rides is the Planet coaster sound track, they gave us permission to use it in our videos! :D

I have made plenty of parks since then in a far larger in scope. POVs for all of them are on my youtube channel! You would likely highly enjoy Blueheim.
@@GalcianBTHI want a coaster made up for a legend I know of. Let me know how much to pull this off and if you take an Amazon Card as payment. Look up Oude Rode Ogen (Old Red Eyes), one that goes through the city streets of Mechelen Belgium. That end up going through Saint Roumbald's cathedral, up the steeple and out the top. If you can come down the steeple quick and into a dark ride of underground catacombs of skeletons and flames but somehow add the Black Dog to it would be amazing. Just an idea for you, that will make you a few bucks.
And at key points a menacing dog growling.
At 14:46, there is a sign that says "Albatros". It's missing an "s". This is one amazing build, Brian. Absolutely love it, especially Rik'Talish. I'd love to ride that in real life. I'm definitely buying PC just so I can enjoy this park over and over again, along with a lot of other creations. :)

I loved that Rik'Talish too! Certainly one of my favorites in this park! We actually gave this a ride back when this was featured in park spotlight, at the time it was an un-finished prototype. You should go check it out and see how far it came since then! :D

I expected 3,552,000 when I saw the first four numbers of subscribers not 3,552! I have spent 5 odd hours this week watching videos of a game I don't play. Really enjoy your commentary and expect those subs to surge as people (non gamers included) find your channel.

I wonder.... is there a camera mod so that you can walk/run around the park? Like in Themepark Inc....
There is a easter egg mode that allows you to walk around in some sort of Digi-cam mode, allowing you to essentially control a guest! However, I haven't bothered trying it yet, cause it seems like that may increase the length of already long videos. : /

With the Stingray 5, I'd lower the over water sections a bit more so that you almost feel like your skimming just above the water surface, maybe even create a roostertail water effect behind as you pass the areas.
Started to run into FPS issues. Working to reduce some non needed scenery some buried underground others just clumped in areas out of line of sight. Then I am going to go back and see what I can do.
That was my hopes for this one too, but I think Brian had technical issues?
Channel5 Gaming Yea I have ro try to reduce some uneeded scenery items underground and such before I add more. And PLC doesnt let you get your coasters to low to the water when inverted.

Tip: instead of desktop mode use either the ingame steam window, or use alt/windows +tab
That actually doesn't work in OBS, those options of alt tabbing or steam window are actually separate windows from the game. Which require desktop mode :(

Yeah in the latest episode Yggdrasil where I feature a River rapids, I tried this and it worked better.
RICHEY099 mine train and dragon coaster are far better on track mode aswell.

I would suggest a mid braking section on the Arcadia Rising though, because it's such a long coaster. I think there is enough room for that on one of the airtime hills.
Robbedem I have considered this however found there is not a single piece of straight track. I plan at some point to do a realism patch to put in things lile that and otger touches like backstage areas.

You can actually do that already apparently! Someone informed me of this on my tips & tricks 1 video and I wrote it down in preparation for my tips and tricks 2 video that I am working on. Kelioo Yea he was a bot confused with the backstory. The origonal Land of Legends, my first ever custom park was made about a year after the release of loopy landscapes. I continued to make many parks you can still download in RCT Station and years later created my one and only project in RCT3 Grendle the Return, a coaster that was a remake of a coaster in the original Land of Legends.
