Losing billions of money doesn't matter.. He made billions and lost it after getting cancer. I've seen a lot of people getting cancer and dying because they cant afford the drugs and treatment. This man survived it and lost all his money. He is now selling books which means he's a fighter. I see him as an inspiration. Only people in the West think everything is about money. For us in Africa, it is about health and living

At 42, I've come to realize that money is a tool. I’ve worked so hard over the years to realize that if you don’t make money work for you, you can’t experience true freedom. I’m glad I found that out although it was later in life, but that marked the turning point in my finances.
Herman Jonas is the brain behind my success. I've gotten into a plethora of assets with $43k spread across stocks (options and futures) for the short term and Roth IRA, index funds, and ETFs, for the long term. Now I sit back, and just reinvest at intervals while I handle my other businesses.
Do not forget that when it comes to the stock market, prices can be erratic, rising and declining quickly, often in relation to companies' policies, which individual investors do not influence.

He was making about $200 (US) a week. People throw around the word billionaire like it’s magical! Most people have never seen $1 million much less 1,000 million that it takes to have a billion. Very few of even the wealthiest in the US have a billion in cash.

. i had 4M savings, a family and my own company in Nairobi Kenya 2020 and today i have less than 1000 KES and living in a small studio in Kampala Uganda after i left that place to start a fresh but am healthy and am grateful for that. am 33 now am grateful i experienced this suffering so early and not while am 60-65 now the fight starts and hopefully i will win again by my self...

If he was a real billionaire, he would never be poor. That's just not impossible. He was probably just a high salaried employee. Even if you lose all your money as a billionaire, it has been proven that unless you're in prison, it is impossible to end up completely broke. The main reason for this is, you will have access to networks the average person doesn't have. It is easier to get funding for any idea, because you've been successful before and you actually understand how to make money. That's why if a high paying employee loses a job, they can end up poor, but if a business person loses their business, they typically end up bouncing back and having more money than they had before. Understanding business is like riding a bicycle. Even if you go 20 years without riding it. Once you know how to ride a bicycle, you can never forget it. Same with business. Once you understand how it works, even if you lose it all. You will always bounce back in a short period.

that works out to $77,000 USD which in the US is a chunk of change, but not enough to make anyone rich by any stretch of the imagination.

I just got approved for a $420,000 mortgage that would put me at about 3300 a month on a $80,000 salary. And what's even crazier is he said I could be approved for up to half a million. Like dude, that's over 3/4 of my take-home pay! We are going into a gigantic bubble where people cannot continue to afford their monthly payments..
I hear you. I was approved for 700k no debt and I’m like WTF??? This was when rates were at 6% but there’s no way I’d take out a loan that high. How the F are ppl paying for their house???? I can only reasonably afford a loan at 350k and a 550k house with 200k down. Taxes out the wazoo! 800-1k/month. The taxes alone will kill you!
Why mortgage?? try trading, I've been able to scale from $15K to $89k in this red season because my Financial Advisor figured out Defensive strategies which help portfolios be less vulnerable to market downturns
