What about cars with changed VIN? Thanks for the video man!
I'm not sure about cars with a changed vin, their could be a whole world of issues that follow that like stolen parts.
I'm new to this and wanted to know if getting a car from Copart to use as a personal everyday car would be a smart move or not? Would a car that has minor dents/scratches we the best way to go for getting a good reliable car to not spend so much money on maintenance right away?
Yes airbags were sent out and fixed to state regulations. It depends on how much you want to spend and take on. Some can be reliable if fixed properly.
How do I find out the lot addresses to view the cars, I currently stay in NYC
Typically the lot is all going to be at the same location unless its a offsite sale. The location when i look at the app is on the same line as the lot number
Thank you for making these videos‼️‼️
No problem 😊

Thanks for the comment Peace channel and same to you as well
Is it wise for me to trust a third-party inspector provided on copart's website? BTW, you did such an excellent job in the video. Thanks a lot.
Thanks, Ive never used a inspector as I always preferred to inspect the vehicles myself
What about the buy now option??
and what are some tips for people looking for certain cars which may not be too close to their home towns
Some times you can get the vehicle lower then that price, however some don't want to miss the purchase and go for what they want for vehicle.
Only tip I can give is pay for someone to go out and inspect the vehicle prior to purchase.
Are there cons to buying a vehicle in your state but registered with another states title?
I dont know your states restrictions it can change from state to state
Is it possible to make two accounts with Copart, one for individuals to buy cars that I want for myself and my business to buy and resale to auctions or dealerships?
I’m new to this I want to register but I don’t know how to get started.I’m Looking for a car for personal use and maybe to fix and sell on the side for side money. Can you help me with the registration part?
Jus make an account with a valid ID. Pay for the basic membership. Then put money into your account in order to bid on vehicles. Every $100 in your account = $1000 of buying power.
This money cannot be used to pay for the car itself. So you would need to ask for a refund if you decide not to use Copart anymore.
Once you win a car, you have to go pick it up. You can pay for the car in person and then hire someone to tow it for you. Or you can tow it yourself. For convenience I suggest hiring someone. It’s less of a hassle.
Once you fixed the car up, you can register it. In Texas all I needed was insurance, inspection, copart receipt, and any receipts for any parts I bought. That way you don’t need to pay the government taxes twice since you already paid taxes to Copart when you paid for the car.
Thank you so much for the support on the info
Enhancements cars good or not,??
That is your typical car at copart. It just means they take photos that may make the car look as best as possible. I always advise inspecting the car before you buy because photos almost never show all the issues
Volo
?
I too live in Southern California near LA. so I will need a broker to purchase a car.?
If you dont have a resale business license you will need a broker
Just came across this video I live near this location and I got me a nice Camry from there :) . Do you have a dealer license ?
No I do not.
What about cars with 'D'
I think D is for cars that were donated but you might want to double check
Thanks sir your video is very helpful as am looking for knowledge to buy from copart and iaai
Most welcome, best of luck! 🙂
Do you know how to avoid the 6weeks title wait? I seen some say search t5 on file but he's not in united stated
You can try to contact the branch directly, I think I have sometimes picked the title up with the car
Can I make a list of cars to inspect and go out well in advance of the auction or is there a limit like I can only go inspect 1-2 days before it goes on auction?
Depends on the lot, some will let you look way in advance and others will only let you look at them if its coming up on the next listed auctions
Is it hard to gets keys for cars that don’t come with them? I assume the car has to be taken to the dealer. I would think that it’s best to focus on cars with keys
Depends on the type of car and the keys you need, it can get expensive and you don't always need to take it to the dealer. Cars without a transponder you can just have a locksmith come out and make one, if you have a transponder it can get more complicated
Can you visit copart and see the car whenever or only during their preview hours?
Copart has to be open and typically not the day of the auction
What about hail damage or vandalism? Is it worth it?
That would be up to the buyers discretion.
Thanks alot, i appreciated this video. jus got auction license
Glad it helped, best of luck
Couple of questions:
If the car is an "Upcoming Lot" I understand one reason is Copart does not have the documentation (Title etc) can you make an offer through Copart or directly to the insurance company if the car is Upcoming?
Which brings me to the second question
Can you find how much an insurance company paid out on a salvage car that pops up on Copart?
Thanks
TO answer the first, no you would have to wait for auction of some have buy it now to purchase the vehicle. As for the second, I'm not sure about the insurance.
