A Question, whats the difference between those and the SP version, they are much more expensive despite having worse screen. The US website does’t sell them either only the European
If you're looking at the wires, I have two sport elite 2.0, and then bought a sport elite 3.0. they both do exactly the same programs but the 3.0 display is improved, the device itself is a little smaller and it's enclosed in a rubber protective cover. It uses USB charging now, now the round plug like devices used to use a decade ago. But again, they both have wires, and they both function the same. If you want to go without wires, the mini has more limited use than the larger units wired or wireless. If you're considering the more expensive larger wireless version, note that it also has a few less programs than the sport elite two or three. Review what the programs do and decide if that's okay for you. The last time I looked on the Compex website, about 4 months ago they had a table comparing what features are on each EMS unit. But you still might need to dig into the manual or at least the website descriptions of the programs on a specific machine. If a machine has the same program, they work the same even if they're on the mini wireless. Note that the power levels might go higher, greater stimulation, on some of the units than others. Unless you're a high performing athlete or physical fitness enthusiast, you might never use the highest stimulation levels.
Wraps for Wireless 2.0. Complex sells wraps, That work on most locations on your body including by adding wraps together in series, to hold on the wireless stimulators in place.
Over my 60 years I’ve suffered some pretty serious injuries that are now catching up with me. I have been exploring pain management options in hopes of only resorting to meds as a last resort. I came across your videos and based on your recommendation I purchased the Compex Edge 3.0 about a week ago and it has been such a relief; what a great tool to have in my pain management arsenal. I just want to thank you for the video.
I bought the Sport Elite 3.0 about 6 months ago after watching your videos explaining how they worked. I love it and use it almost every day (thanks to work at home, I can run some of the programs while I sit in meetings).
Hi, I’m from Singapore and I have just undergone ACL and meniscus surgery, 5 weeks out. Coming here to understand your review has greatly helped me in deciding what is suitable for my goals. Looking forward to the “ultimate bang for the buck value, wired 3.0 performance”! Awesome vids 🎉
Wow, I’m looking and comparing all devices now for my figure skating training. Really want to get one to strengthen my muscles but they are pricey! Thank you for detailed review. Subscribed 😊
thanks so much for this video dude.. I have the wired one and always get so annoyed at having to wire the whole thing that was wondering whether I should buy the wireless, but after watching your video I am just going to stick to mine
Yes and no. Most, not all, electrode wraps loosen and or fall off while doing any type of dynamic movements. I used my own ace bandages, Compex brand wraps, compression latex wraps etc… the ace bandage material is the only stuff that mostly works. It’s not perfect but it’s better than the alternative. Still not as good as the wired alternative though imo
Thanks for putting this out. I was curious about the wireless unit. I think I'll get the Sport Elite. I have the 2.0 that ilustration of the body cracks me up.
Thank you for the quick reviews of the different versions of Compex devices. My son is a high school pitcher and looking to purchase one. Which one would you recommend for after pitching recovery, especially on the back of the shoulder?
Great video. I am not completely new to Compex. I used to have a very early version something like 20 years ago when I was still living in Italy (now I live in USA). I am currently looking to get a Compex because last week I tore my ACL skiing. In preparation for the surgery, I really want to potentiate my leg and create muscle memory (it will help post surgery to gain back mass faster). Because of the injury I cannot use the leg extension. Would you consider the sport elite a viable option for my specific needs? (I know you are not a physical therapist, but essentially I would like to understand if the potentiation program of the sport elite really works). Thanks
Potentiation works. But I’m not sure if what you are looking for is actually potentiation: It essentially warms up the different muscle fiber types (Slow > Fast) in a sequence.
Hi recently finished playing college football and my shoulder is messed up. I have used stem devices all through my career but am not very well versed in them. Do all these devices have low rate and a high rate setting, I have heard low rate helps with recovery and repairing damaged muscles better, if I am incorrect please feel free to correct me. Great video btw
I’m new to this im looking for something that can improve my muscle recovery and performance I was thinking of the power dot 2.0 but I’m thinking the more professional option will be your recommendation will this be the best option on the market I don’t want any regrets or upgrades down the line
Last question...have you tried the international versions of Compex? I've notice they seem to cost a lot more, and I'm curious what extra benefits they have.
I have to say that you are off on your review of the wireless unit. First of all doing jumping or any kind of explosive exercise using muscle stim, is probably a bad idea. For isometric, strength, training or strength training with movement like a squat or bench press it works fine. I’ve had mine for over 10 years, I bought the international model in Europe, and it works outstanding. Not having wires is super convenient. #IMHO
I appreciate the comment, and I'd agree with you that in those use cases having no wires is convenient. But It IS beneficial to be able to do explosive movements, to say that the other types of training is all you need and omitting other types of training "is fine" is...well...ignorant. That's where there are settings specifically for that type of training. So it's certainly not a bad thing, just something you wouldn't do.
Which Compex would you get???
Looking at the Performance or the Sports elite wondering if you think it’s worth the extra 150 dollars for the extra 4 programs?
@@ethanbiffle Depends on what you're trying to do, if you're a power athlete, or if you want to develop power, yes I think it's worth it.

I have the 8.0

They are pricey, but the value proposition they bring to the table is unmatched
video is very helpful as to which device to use. worth watching
Nice video. My daughter’s trainer had used these to help her recover from knee pain. Worked great.
That’s rad glad you enjoyed it Mark!

One of his main gripes, that the wireless units fall off is easily solved by using electrode wraps.

This was very informative!

Next video series should be workout videos using the Compex! Great video. Loved it
Love the idea Dan thank you
Thank you for the quick reviews of the different versions of Compex devices. My son is a high school pitcher and looking to purchase one. Which one would you recommend for after pitching recovery, especially on the back of the shoulder?
If it’s for recovery all of these have tens and basic forms of recovery so any of them will work great
Recovering from disc replacement of L4-5 and now have problems with L5-S1. What could help with pain ?
Hi Ric, sorry to hear man. All of these have Tens, so any of these would totally help.
This is helpful information! thanks!!!
Glad you thought so!
Great Info at Always, Thanks!
Thanks for the great video

Hi Griffin, great question: Compex does both. Tens focuses on relieving pain and EMS can either recover or strengthen muscles
Which of the compex products would you say is good for loosing belly fat or aging 6pack🤦🏽
None. None of them can do that.
@@BrandonTalbot do you any any products that can help me with that
@@BrandonTalbotalso on the compex 6.0 it states it helps achieve the 6pack have you by any chance come across that information

I wouldn’t invest into powerdot. It’s got some serious QC issues
@@BrandonTalbot Ok last Question MARC PRO, MUSCLE STIMULATOR for $699 or
COMPEX SPORT ELITE 3.0 MUSCLE STIMULATOR $259.00
???

Any long term issue as a daily user? Wondering about side effects on ems
Nope. Used one nearly everyday for years while on tour
Nice video. One question, were I can find more information about compex ?
Either their website, or here on TH-cam
Literally saved my life :3
right on
Last question...have you tried the international versions of Compex? I've notice they seem to cost a lot more, and I'm curious what extra benefits they have.
I haven’t - yeah they have like 40 programs.
For recovery and rehab, any significant benefits vs cheap tens units?
Tens is Tens amongst the Compex units, no clue when it comes to cheap mall kiosk units though
Super helpful, man. Thank you!!!
Whew!!! I know it’s confusing so I’m glad it helped!!!
You still prefer Compex over Power Dot?
Yeah 100%

Have you experimented with any of the other NMES devices like Playmakar?
I haven’t used that but I’ve used MarcPro, power dot and one other that was a far more expensive medical option
Cool, I want one.

You’re welcome
So the hardware is the same?
Where are the jailbreak developers at?
Right?

Thank you! Cheers!
If you have to buy one product would u choose muscle simulator or massage gun? For best recovery

Wat is pulse width ?
Why the music which makes it hard to hear you and is really annoying?
