Schaller straplocks were standard on Kramers of that era, not as an option. At any rate, the strap pins on that guitar are Dunlop's which definitely are not factory!! (and junk, lol)
A beauty! Love the vintage Floyd slotted screw posts! They only work on a maple body - anything else and they would be tilting in by now! Look at the workmanship on the original Floyd - not a rough surface to be found!
Nice! My first guitar was a used 85 Pacer Deluxe I got in 93. The neck had been replaced with an allparts neck with a jackson shaped headstock. It weighed a ton and had schaller pickups.
I used to have a cream 1984 Baretta, it had an ebony fretboard with no markers on it, so pretty rare,,, it was definitely one of the BEST stat style guitars ever’
Super jealous of that 1 3/4 R5 nut width!! My favorite by far. Wouldn't that have come with Schaller strap pins and locks? Looks like some Dunlop strap pins on there. Definitely wouldn't have come with those (extremely inferior to Schaller) strap pins. Looks like the headstock half of that scarf joint is quarter sawn, but not the neck?! Curious. Very cool guitar!! 🤘
@@40gritguitars Having the non-standard Dunlop's would drive me crazy! Part of what made the Kramers great was that they got all the best parts available! Real Floyds, Duncan pickups, Schaller tuners and the Schaller strap locks. My OCD would make me put the Schaller strap pins on, to complete the look. 🤘
@@Metalcop5150 Hey Metalcop The 84 Baretta came with a Schaller Golden 50 as well as the Grail guitars. Strap locks weren't automatic till 1985 . I worked on that guitar. I dressed that neck and milled the shelf. Drilled countersunk and installed the nut at the factory .thx
Thanks 40!! You Rock!!❤
Lucky to have you around sir. You make a lot of people better.
The neck was made by Sports in Connecticut they were all scarf joint R5 . The regular strap buttons came on the guitars if you didn't want straplocks
