Invidente7 no there was a secret ending if you got 100 percent he goes back to the kids house cause now he knows where it is and the dad couldn't resist the cuteness that he let the kid keep the dog
This was a very good videogame for Sega CD, one of the rare moments when a title was created from the ground up for the hardware, instead of the usual habit of dumping Genesis games with CD audio. Gameplay follows the style of Amiga games, so if you’re familiar with that, and games like Chuck Rock, you’ll do fine. Wonder Dog didn’t get much love, but that’s due to the unusually high expectations for Sega CD, which were somewhat unrealistic.
Everything about this game just screams Amiga. According to Wikipedia it started life on the Sega CD and was later ported to Amiga. I'm kind of surprised it wasn't the other way around.
That would have been impossible. . maybe CD32X could though with a few cut backs. Edit: Sega CD is 16 bit 2D, Tomb Raider is 32 bit 3D. 32X was the Genesis answer to 32bit. It did 3D well but not as detailed as the disc based games. However, Sega CD can be combined with 32X for CD32X games. Which would take advantage of both systems at once. It would hold the same amount of data as PS1/Saturn, same sound as well, combined with the extra color and 3D graphics of the 32X. Only a few FMV games made the cross to CD32X. It would have been cool to see what other games it could have done.
@@andyukmonkey gotchya, wasnt sure, but it got me thinkin. Doom played even worse than Tomb Raider on Saturn, entire game is choppy. Funny enough, the 32X Doom plays smooth. "At least alot better than Saturn." Though the graphics are cut back, the last zones are missing, and the music is terrible. But say if Doom was a CD32X game, the music would have been fine, and there would have been plenty of data storage for the other levels. Tomb Raider is a jump from Doom, but I could imagen a semi flat shaded polygon version playing alright. Virtua Racing/Fighter and Stellar Assault played like a next gen "and many prefer the 32X versions of those over the Saturn as well". 32X did texture mapping too like Metalhead and Darxide, but performance dropped. Still, systems are never up to their full potential at the start, always takes a few years for software to catch up. No doubt the last games of a generation are always more impressive. Sega 32X has half a Saturn inside, uses the same chip. Sacrificing graphics can bring solid gameplay. Daytona USA was planned for 32X. That woulda been somethin to see.
@@Lightblue2222 I think it stands to reason that a certain amount of games that get released aren't as good as they could be. Surprised to hear all the negative comments. I liked this game back in the day. I pretty much enjoy all platformers. Some might say I have low standards but I’m glad that I’m still like a little kid when it comes to the genre; I can enjoy nearly every and any indie or retro style platformer I pick up and play on Steam , itch, or my Evercade console. The way it is, it looks like the dog was on his mission, then got interrupted by this dumbass kid, the kid then got abducted (raped and dumped into the sewers), and the dog can finally continue his mission without his short-term human friend
yo, the dogs make the homer simpson d'oh sound when hit, and the bulldogs do too but pitched down a bit. When wonderdog takes damage it's a sample of scoobydoo!
Probably nothing. Wonderdog is the mascot of Wondermega (hence the name), which is one of the licensed Mega CD clones. This is probably just a game for the sake of having one.
When I saw Wonderdog in a magazine when I was younger I was upset because they thought Sega was going to replace Sonic with him and I though he looked weird and stupid. I'm glad THAT never happened!

Looks like a spinoff of Chuck Rock 2, using a tweaked version of its game engine. Not bad but the challenge seems extremely low in comparison and there's not a lot to set it apart from other games mechanics-wise.
