I like how they've got a traditionally villainous character like Doomfist showing off his range as a hero and your heroic characters showing off their range as villains. Really like the work Brig and Mercy are putting in.
I like to think that for junkerstein too sometimes xD Its quite adorable thinking about them all dressing up to goof around, or perhaps even playing some rpg table game? Heh
The team that worked on this said it’s an alternate universe, but they do still talk about such stories here and there, they definitely have role played before.
I'd imagine they'd get left behind/forgotten after a failed mission or something, and maybe Torb finds em and feels bad for the thing, or maybe it goes like the comics where he sees Bastion isn't so bad as he initially tought, fixes the bot up and eventually they get introduced to the rest of the rebellion! (Bonus if Brigitte maybe is fairly worried about the one Annihilator unit she cares for, and tries to find Bastion only to be reunited with her father :] )
I’ve noticed sigma’s mythic skin got a lot of new voice lines as well, like the one at the end of this video, some of the hello lines being more formal and a friendly sigma yells ‘what is that syzygy?’ when ulting with this skin etc.
Oh my god, they actually referenced the sand line from Star Wars. 😂 Gotta say, this event has been a ton of fun. The team line-ups may not be the most balanced, but my matches have seen a roughly even share of wins for both sides.

The second Boris Hiestand (VA for Sigma) came out with "WHAT IS THAT MELODY?!" we all knew he had talent. He sure showed it off here. Great man. Seriously, the music & voice acting in Sigma's origin story sends chills down your spine. Very well made in my opinion.

The jump from the bitter tone of the middle to the triumphant ending was too quick. soldier 76 sounds like a theatre kid that's getting way too into the high school production of hamlet. i love him. he finally got to be the drama gay he always wanted. his VA is genuinely really good at sounding both intense and ridiculous at the same time. he outdid himself this time
Mercy and Brigitte nailed their roles. Soldier and Sojourn sounds about the same Dva sounds way too young and so her threat just sounds juvenile rather than menacing. Doomfist sounds really good as a good guy though.
Hades Pharah was pretty laid back, she kind of was more naturally self aggrandizing and reveling in her strength, compared to the real Pharah who is cocky in a sort of up tight way to hide her vulnerability.
I love the Alternate Universe events! I love The Infinite side! These events remind me of the League of Legends events! I hope they make more characters with this AU in the future!
