- It’s hard to believe that #ChristmasFantasy parade is still going, but not in a bad way. For a while I thought that they should freshen it up but with the way the Company has been going lately I worry that it wouldn’t be as good as what we currently have. This #Disneyland parade has seen a lot of changes and a lot of cuts over it’s 25 year run. If I could update it with anything it would be the return of more live musicians and carolers. Luckily they still have the iconic Toy Soldiers playing live music while marching.
Love the christmas fantasy parade saw for the first time back in 2006 and aging in 2009 and three weeks ago I saw it during the merrierst nites event at Disneyland frst Christmas party. But i do agree with you it does need some refrerashing. I'm a big fan of Disney Parades and love the history of the parades, love seeing the christmas fantasy parade because some of these use to be from the World accoreding to goofy parade that was my very first disney parade back in the 90's I was just a baby lol but luckly my parents record few parts of the parade on a vsh tape.
Also, if you ask me, I honestly think that the only thing that should be added are some more performers. The amount of floats are fine (but if they were to add more floats, i'd say the Winter Wonderland and Toy Factory sections should have them (mainly the toy factory. It would be interesting to see different floats that have different ways of making toys (let's say a stuffed animal for instance))), but the addition of more performers would be good! I kind of think it would be cool if they brought back the toys and "kids". Of course, they wouldn't be actual kids this time, but still!
I don't think a new song is needed either! It's probably my favorite thing about this parade since it's so catchy!

North Pole 5 miles as the reindeer flies. Well, it is Christmastime, Mario. I guess you present means more to you than we do. We've got to save Santa. We're too late. Koopa Klaus has frozen Santa's workshop. We have to get past those Flurries. The whole world will look pretty dark without Christmas. You got your present, Toad, but no one else is going to get theirs. Santa's toys are frozen.
What are your favorite parts of the parade? My favorite parts are the dancing snowmen and the caroler performers.

@@cartarsaucetheatre9363 i really have to agree they are my favorite but to bad disney world doesn't have the toy soldiers marching band this year i don't know why they didn't include them this year

Do you think it is either time for a new Christmas Parade or add more floats & units?
Nothing will compare with the Very Merry Christmas Parade from the 1980s. The variety of music and parade units made it just as an important tradition to the Macy's Thanksgiving or Pasadena's New Year's Day parades.
In comparison this is just a long saccharine commercial.
I do but I think they should do a new one at DCA, Could have a fun new take on it, and keep the DL one traditional. But it could use a fresh song.

What parades did you do? What parts did you play?
@@snowcub7139 1985-1994. VMCP, MSEP, Snow White, Circus Fantasy, State Fair, The Hop, Party Gras, Alladin, and on and on.
What was all that like for you?
@@snowcub7139 I miss it and the people, but not the corporation. I got out right before Lion King parade and the tear-down of the old parade production area to build the Mickey and Minne parking structure to allow DCA to proceed.
Parades back then were ground-breaking, now they're just bland commercials.
The parade has gotten lean over the years. They've removed a lot of performers, scaled down number of floats and the result is kinda soulless. I wish they could bring it back to 1998 year quality.
