I love Elminster! He’s the player character of Ed Greenwood, the creator of this whole setting, and he’s got tons of novels and lore written about him. He is basically this world’s Gandalf. We love a doddering old wizard that could still fireball you to next week.
Not only that, but he is a long-time friend of Volo. There are even multiple letters in the game addressed from 'V' to 'E' and vice versa, alluding to their friendship.
Love to see you taking an interest in the gith! It's impressive you remembered that little "he isn't going where he says he's going" from Voss episodes ago.

Not sure if that counts as a spoiler, but you missed a trader in the Mountain Pass. Just wanted to mention it because you complained about the armor (I did as well, it looks so good!) and that trader has some good armor. Thanks for the enjoyable episode!
Cool detail, that I've noticed only in this EP (not once during my own playthroughs or watching others play), in here 1:24:27, and in here 1:25:05 in scenes with Lae'zel dialogue, there is a moon to her left (Selune - moon of Toril, the planet we, as a party, are on), and to the right we can see Tears of Selune (which Lae'zel just called Tears during one of the cutscenes in starter camp), an asteroid cluster following the moon. Somewhere there, among The Tears, is Lae'zel's home, creche K'liir.
Me @ Mystra: GET A JOB. STAY AWAY FROM HIM. God, every time I see this scene it makes me so mad lol. I have such a soft spot for Gale and Mystra is just so manipulative and awful (like, yeah, go kill yourself and MAYBE you'll be forgiven...?!?!?). Karlach's reaction is so hilarious though. Excited for Underdark shenanigans!
Underdark 🖤 Such a cool area. Overall it has such allure of mysticism, drow lore, duergar lore and so on, a whole other world under the world. I would for as long as Forgotten Realms existed as a setting Underdark in general, even tho there are different Underdark place all over, had that allure and interest. Especially drow lore, probably because of the books about Drizzt Do'Urden. They did very well to give it distinct otherworldly vibes, like nothing you see on the surface, but also not barren/small caves. There is an architecture, there is life in Underdark. Some great quests and environmental and contextual storytelling down here. Plus, ambient soundtrack is just great (all location are good or great, but Underdark vibes). Probably my top3 favorite location in the game. Was especially cool to experience on 1st playthrough as a drow (and yet to try at some point down the line as duergar or deep gnome, although maybe never, takes a lot of time). There are 4 ways to enter Underdark in BG3 from the surface, this is more of a conventional/quest driven one.
One of my favourites is to get the phasespider matriarch to fall down the hole into the underdark, it kills her instantly lol, I just follow her down and loot her
A little detail but makes all the difference to me is that every enemy has a story purpose for being were they are example the death knights it makes the world more alive and they don't respwan to farm exp like in other rpgs.
Somebody else said it already - Elminster is the player character of the creator of the setting - From what I remember Elminster is the choosen champion of Mystra - has a house on the Sun ? - And that you seen him as a construct is as he hinted early in the conversation because he send a "project Image" to talk to you - (A high level Illusion spell that "projects" a dublicat of yourself to somewhere.)
If you're curious about why Elminster was a construct. Look up the spell "Simulacrum". You will not hear anything about this spell in game, so this isn't a spoiler. In fact, the only way I figured out what spell it was, was because I attacked and defeated Elminster in one of my playthroughs instead of talking to him. XD
At 16:12 .. I'm not sure how familiar you are with DnD battle mechanics in general (outside of what you have seen in this game) but yeah, crits double everything that you roll with a dice (even the temporary boosts like fire-dipped, poison damage etc.), and then the fixed bonuses are added on top of that. That's why rogues, especially the ones with wider crit chance, are so deadly at sneak attacks. They roll a lot of dice --> a lot gets doubled.
It's a game thing that gale wasn't hungry anymore. He only eats 3 items and that's it. The last one didn't work, so I guess that's why he doesn't ask for more.
The camp theme (which is a rendition of Astarion's theme song both of which) is called "I Want To Live" and when it plays during heavy camp convos i just🥲

Mm I dunno what Gale did was pretty messed up. You don't try to cross your gf's arcane boundaries like that.

Eliminster is amazing. His old novels are what I read as a kid and didn’t even realize was D&D until this game! And the Drizzt novels of course!
Certain camp encounters clear out all people in the camp except party members because there is the possibility of combat.

I like your cloak hype but personnaly I would like if we could hide them like helmets
