Lizzy! I'm London born but grew up in Vancouver and therefore I am taking the responsibility of recommending things very personally! Food-wise it is of the utmost importance that you eat TONS of sushi (if you are into it). There are endless sushi restaurants in Vancouver ranging from high end to family-owned tiny shops - honestly, almost all of it is fantastic. I'll have a look back at my favourite places and get back to you. You have to get brunch at Jam Cafe - it is the best in Vancouver so be prepared to line up outside for 20+ minutes no matter what time of day. Gastown is an obvious must, and there are a lot of great thrift shops nearby. If you get the chance go to the North Shore (i.e North and West Vancouver) - Grouse Mountain, Lonsdale Quay, Ambleside etc and there are loads of amazing beaches on the North Shore, especially in West Vancouver!! I'll add more things when I remember xx
Vancouver recommendations from a local! Liberty Bakery + Cafe, Harken Coffee, Fabrique St. George (for a glass of wine), Pacific Spirit Regional Park (for a forest walk), Old Faithful Shop (beautiful home decor store in Gastown which has so many other stunning stores plus some cute used book stores). Walk the seawall for sure, it's so beautiful and can be as long or short as you want. Bloedel Conservatory in Queen Elizabeth Park. Vancouver Art Gallery. Polygon Gallery in North Vancouver. The Vancouver Public Library's central branch downtown is beautiful architecture. Lighthouse Park in North Vancouver for a walk. Hope you enjoy your trip :)

Gastown, False Creek, do a bike ride along the seawall and watch the cannon go at stanley park at 9pm, plenty of hikes on the north shore.. Food: a must is to have sushi here - great prices and fresh sashimi. Plenty of coffee shops and local breweries: revolver, 33 acres, houes of funk, Iktsuarpok, nemisis, prototype... Old Bird for drinks/atmosphere, Published on Main for food, Burgoo for cozy comfort food (soups, sandwiches), Anh and Chi for good vietnamese food. Also plenty of asian food! Enjoy your time :)
Hello from Canada! I'm fairly certain you have been to Vancouver Island before (years ago?), but you should come back, the West Coast is amazing in autumn. Definitely visit Vancouver proper, Toronto, and Montreal is a must. I would even suggest Ottawa too, but you have to visit Montreal. It's fabulous. If you decide to revisit Victoria BC I'd be happy to recommend restaurants, etc. I can't wait to see your house updates too.

Highly recommend trying out mother cocktail bar, near Trinity Bellwood’s park personally I think it’s one of the best restaurants in the city. Also highly recommend trying out local coffee shops and exploring the East End/Leslieville. Lots of great international cuisine, coffee shops and a beach in this area too
Love mirrors but if it were my choice, I'd hang one on the wall behind the sofa, and put shelves on where the mirrors are. I can display books and knick knacks given you have plenty of those. maybe remove the separation from living and office and make it one whole big space instead of separate rooms..still put more storage in the office as well.

Stanley Park in Vancouver is so lovely! It’s a great green space close to downtown. I’d also recommend taking the ferry over to Vancouver Island to check out Victoria, BC for some small city beach vibes. For shopping in Vancouver I love Holt Renfrew + Nordstrom.

Love house renovations so I'm excited by others and can live vicariously. Btw - I'd recommend popping little rubber bits on the tile samples, you can buy them, to turn them in to coasters afterwards...waste not want now and all that. :-) Enjoy Canada and the US. I'd recommend going over to Vancouver Island if you can and up in to the Rockies if you can.
In Vancouver, my favourite restaurant is Miku (a Japanese restaurant close to Pacific Centre ). Of course Stanley Park, Granville Island . You must on the Aqua-bus ( little boats that will take you around False Creek ). Walking around False Creek is also lovely. Lots of great coffee shops. I enjoy the distillery district in Toronto. Lots of shopping and good restaurants. You could spend some time on the Toronto Islands. Have fun and don’t forget your masks !
I’m super prone to blisters on my heels regardless of how broken in or fit or material. It’s been the Bain of my existence my whole life. A lifesaver for me that I discovered a few years ago now, is clear medical tape. Bandaids don’t work and look awful. Even those heel guards don’t seem to work. But the clear medical tape stays put, is not noticeable, and protects the skin of my heel without adding bulk. Bonus, it comes in rolls so i just pop one in my bag and always have it with me for those inevitable emergencies when a blister shows up and threatens to ruin my day 😀

In Toronto check out Wilbur Mexicana, Momofuku and Pilot coffee, and in Vancouver Small Victory Bakery in Yaletown, Earnest Ice Cream, Tacofino in Gastown, Nelson the Seagull and Revolver for great coffee. Plus Granville Island Market - just watch out for the seagulls when you're there! Can't wait to see what you get up to :)
So excited for you to experience some bits of Canada! For walking in Vancouver, going along the sea wall and around or through Stanley Park is lovely, there are plenty of places to rent bikes too if you’d rather ride because it is quite long. If you’re up for a hike, the Chief in Squamish has such a beautiful view at the top, or you can go up the Sea-to-Sky gondola. Capilano suspension bridge is also very nice, and nearby is Cleveland Dam which also has a great view, nice place for a picnic. Let me know if you have any other specific recommendations you’re looking for! There are tons of trails. Also I second Earnest Ice Cream and Tacofino for food. Have a great time =)
You need to go to Marked on John street in Toronto, it's sooo good one of my favourite restaurants. Also, Fusaro's on Queen West and Veggie Delight in Kensington Market.
you need to go to Ossington street when in Toronto (135 is the best cafe in Toronto) but I agree with some of the other comments you would love Montreal (its pretty easy to take a train from Toronto to Montreal)

for breaking in the shoes, try dubbin! its a wax thatll soften the leather and you can even rub it on the inside of the leather at the heel to help soften it on both sides!

Wow, sounds like you have a cool trip planned! I hope you have safety plans built into your itinerary - here in the US we're having problems with the delta variant, and I'd hate for you to catch that while you're here. Can't wait to see where all you visit. I live in Seattle, Washington now, but I'm from Michigan and lived in Vermont for 7 years as well - all 3 have great places to visit. Detroit is a pretty quick trip from Toronto. I think the Detroit Institute of Art is worth the trip. It's a small-ish art museum, but they have a really cool collection - including some enormous Diego Rivera murals that can only be fully appreciated in person. (Just be warned that it's closed on Mondays! I learned this the hard way.) You can also tour some of the old (by US standards, not London standards, haha) Art Deco era buildings downtown. Great Lebanese and Greek food in Detroit, too.
May I share a constructive criticism about your accessories. I hope you dont take it too personally. I am really a big fan of your accessories like rings, jewelleries, shoes and bags. First of all, I love your watch! Looks so chic on you. This is about your rings though. I love all of them really. They look great on you. And I am a personal fan of your diamond ring that you inherited from uncle Luigi! Its just that of you want to layer it, I suggest you do that with only one band. Adding multiple bands with that ring takes that bling away a bit. But thats my personal suggestions. If you like it that way go for it! You look stunning in everything really 🥰

You can take a lovely quick float plane from Vancouver to Victoria (on Vancouver Island). Victoria has a charming downtown I think you would adore. 😘

May I share a constructive criticism about your accessories. I hope you dont take it too personally. I am really a big fan of your accessories like rings, jewelleries, shoes and bags. First of all, I love your watch! Looks so chic on you.
This is about your rings though. I love all of them really. They look great on you. And I am a personal fan of your diamond ring that you inherited from uncle Luigi! Its just that of you want to layer it, I suggest you do that with only one band. Adding multiple bands with that ring takes that bling away a bit. But thats my personal suggestions. If you like it that way go for it! You look stunning in everything really 🥰
