  • Yes, Judas did go to hell but he could have been saved.

If he would have simply turned to God and repented, God’s Word tells us that every person, regardless of what they’ve done, can repent and be saved. Learn more at: soulchoicemini...

I've always felt sorry for Judas because I thought he regretted betraying Jesus. Otherwise, why would he have hung himself? He had the silver, but it didn't mean anything to him anymore. I have trouble distinguishing his sorrow and regret from true repentance. Maybe he was truly sorry but felt so bad that he couldn't bring himself to face Jesus after he betrayed him.

As we can't weight what's in hearts, only God knows, it's a hard question to know who repent and who don't. Confessing and believing Jesus is alive and is God Himself is a good start (Well, what is responded to this is "demons believe too", yes, but why do they fight so brutally for that the entire world do not belive ?) Following this, we probably sadly cannot say 'rest in peace' to Tina Turner.

Godly sorrow leads to repentance, but the Bible says that worldly sorrow leads to death. Judas felt worldly sorrow, leading to suicide, perhaps because he thought the 11 disciples would hate him, since he went out of his way to betray Jesus, while theyre betrayal was a reaction of fear and cowardess, Jesus was willing to forgive judas, even saying 'friend', in Jesus there is no shadow of turning, He is always at the peek of His willingness to save, but one has to respond to His promting.

@@bvon5630 Unfortunately it brings me no joy to say, but 2nd Corinthians says worldly sorrow leads to death, while Godly sorrow works repentance. This verse shows how there is a worldly sorrow, unlike godly sorrow, wordly sorrow leads to death, whereas godly sorrow leads to repentance, the kind of repentance seen in the rest of the disciples, who turned back to God and were commanded to go into the world and preach. The title son of perdition has the word "perdition" meaning "lost", which is contrary to what Jesus said about the other disciples, who Jesus said 'none of these have i lost'. It's Simple yet clear enough to understand. It brings me no joy to speek about these truths, it is a dark saying, but a true saying which warns us all.

    How to be simply saved.
The bad news. we are sinners. (Romans 3:23.) We deserve to be punished in hell for our sins.
The good news. Jesus Christ who is God's son died on the cross for all your sins. He was buried & rose again to give you eternal life as a free gift. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4. Romans 6:23.)
How am I saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. (Acts 16:31)
    Once saved, always saved.
    Jesus said in John 6:47.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Do you believe that you are saved by grace and promised heaven because Jesus died for you?
    Yes. No.

      Question:
A Protestant may use Acts 16:30-31 to prove sola fide. What is the Catholic interpretation of Paul’s answer to the jailer?
      Answer:
In Acts 16:30-31, Paul and Silas are praying and singing hymns as the other prisoners listen. Suddenly there is an earthquake that shakes all the doors open and releases the fetters that they were wearing. But to the jailer’s surprise, none of the prisoners tries to escape. He is so impressed with these Christians that he asks what he must do to be saved.
St. Paul responds: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your whole household.” So Paul and the others speak the word of the Lord to them. Then the jailer takes them the same hour hour of the night and washes their wounds. Acts 16:33 tells us “he was baptized at once, with all his family.”
So it was with faith AND sacrament that he became a Christian. The whole family was baptized; so we see possibility of infant baptism here as well. It’s always best to check the Scripture before and after a particular passage of interest. Context is so important.
