Every time I'm going through through time, i remember what I see on the news how the Palestinian are losing everything and yet thanking God, then i remember that im blessed.
I am so sorry. I know exactly how you feel. I too was taken advantage of at 18 here in my own country in the US. Im glad you got the help you need. I suffered for 10 years with no help ...alone until i gave my life to Christ. Now i am happily married with 2 children. Keep seeking the Lord and telling your testimony. I started watching your TH-cam channel as soon as you arrived in Korea, and years later, I always thought you were such a beautiful person, because you were always positive and always trying to help others. I think if you got a lot of love from someone, it's because you're that kind of good person and he saw that in you.

On the French diplomacy website, they warned young women about GHB, because the cases of French young girls/ women getting drugged up and raped in Seoul was off the roof...
Yeah, it can happen everywhere, but in Seoul it is SNEAKY, because most of the time people take the time to EARN your trust FIRST! That's not the case of brutal attacks in the street. That's people you KNOW and you TRUST and who BEFRIENDED you... that's a whole other level of mental trauma and trust issues afterwards....

This is the first time that I make a comment on a TH-cam channel. I'm so sorry to hear what happened to you. My heart is broken as I listened to the incident that happened to you and the pain you go through. The community makes part of who you are and provides supports you need for your daily comforts. I wish there is a better way for anybody trying to build a life here to find a supporting community. I speak both Korean and English. If there is any way I can be of your support, let me know.

Sadly, I had a feeling that I knew what you would be talking about based on the quiet, serious tone you had at the beginning of the video. I was in Seoul for only 9 days, and on day 2, I came across a stranger while I was drunk and on my own in Hongdae. He seemed nice, but...
I got lucky, though. I got away before he could do more harm. But the realization of how common this could be shocked me so much that I immediately grew depressed and enraged. I wasn't mad at myself, though. I was mad at Seoul. But I was still on vacation. I spent thousands of dollars to make this dream trip come true, so I went out with a group of peers I met before I went off on my own the previous night. Told them what happened, and they all went silent and told me about all the other girls they knew who had the same thing or worse happen to them. Then they helped cheer me up, and we had fun the rest of the night. But I was so much more aware, cautious, and weary of every man I saw and walked by everywhere I went, not just in Korea. And I was ready to beat up any man who tried anything. I, fortunately, was able to enjoy the rest of my trip, but vowed to come back and participate in advocacy groups for this to help shed light on it and help make Korea safer for women. THIS is the dark side of Korea no one talks about. I'm ready to help change that.

I started watching your videos last year for tips and updates for my trip to Seoul, I'm so sorryv to hear about what you've had to go through, but as a believer myself, I'm so glad you are a believer also because only God could've healed you like you've shared. I just started watching your channel today, as I started researching "things to know about traveling to S. Korea" and somehow ended up on this video. Thank you for sharing your vulnerable experience and showing your strength of rising above it. No one should ever have to experience what you did, but kudos to you for not letting it define you and persevering despite of it. Sounds like you have a spiritual foundation to lean on. Wow! Thank you for the video. I lived in Korea for six years and I told everyone how safe it was ... for men. I will need to put this caveat on my statement. Megan I can tell you have a special soul. I think you are so brave for even being able to live away from all you know and journey far away to live your life. I'm glad you were able to find community. What you said is so so true. I understood a lot of the truths you spoke on. I was in Korea for less than a week and was SA'd 3 hrs into my trip in Hongdae. That was shocking because of the warnings I heard it happened so quick, yet I was able to still enjoy my trip and flirted the idea to come back and live but I thought about how alone I might be. I visited with my friends and that was probably why I had such a good time but if I came back I'd be alone except for an acquaintance and I worried how I would cope if more terrible things happened to me.
Anyway I think this message is so important. I'm so happy that your faith helped you and you are able to feel whole again. God is always with you and you are always important to him no matter how low and little you feel.

I’m so sorry that happened to you. 😢 Praying for you. One of my Korean friends was drugged while we were out at a club in Seoul (around 2010). Fortunately I got her out of there before anything else happened. She got sick in the cab and I almost had to fight an adjushi, but I was thankful that she was ok. I had a few dicey situations while living there. It’s easy to get lulled into a false sense of security in Korea. Unfortunately, there are bad actors everywhere. Thank you for sharing your story and bringing awareness to this issue.

I want to thank you so much for sharing this tragic yet beautiful story in the way that led you to Christ. As a young christian myself, this brought me to tears in many ways. I sadly relate to the suicid@l thoughts in September that you experienced, but ultimately, the joy that was given from God through the holy spirit that brought you to tears and did for me as well. Although I don't know you, I pray for you and this coming year, that you will have a year full of much joy and many blessings and a stronger relationship with our loving father.

I know it is difficult to talk about the situation, but if you can make a video bringing awareness to foreign women in Korea would be great. I saw some videos about some dangerous situations, but people only talk about some incidents superficially. You are loved, sweetie! I was so blessed by your testimony sister. Praise the Lord! The message at church today was in line with the advent candle today about JOY and letting go of the trauma, and stress and being Joyful in the midst of difficulties in life. I went thru a bad divorce and had so much loss but started a Thankful Journal and as I listed even the smallest of rhings...rain,sunshine, beautiful clouds, provision, my dog, the breath in my lungs...the focus is less on my troubles and more of Him! What a beautiful Word , and thank you for sharing your heart. I'm hoping to get to Korea someday in the near future!!! 🙏 😇
Dear Megan, I am sorry for what you have gone trough, however I feel very happy to hear you have found hope and redemption in God. Even though my experience is not nearly comparable to your, I had a bit of a rough path as well this year and God really helped me see the lives. He truly loves us infinitely and it is so good to feel that even when you think you are alone, not understood or broken God is there and He has got you.

So many of us have experienced what you have experienced, and I’m so glad to hear that you have come back healed and that your relationship with God was strengthened in your healing journey. I am 15 years older than you and have experienced much pain in my life, and also disappeared from social media while going through my own trauma in marriage. I thank God that he redeems what the enemy meant for evil. You are encouraging me to really give myself the time to heal so that I can return to putting my face out there again on my platform. I can understand, Osten. As I do work here in Korea it’s not easy for foreigners like us. Especially language barriers and their lifestyles is something hard to catchup. Everything is fast paced here and young people are burn out. I hope you stay motivated. I am still happy as I am working in university so I meet young people everyday, which give little smile. 이런건 좀 공론화시켜야 할 필요가 있는것같다. 한국와서 뻘짓하는 외국인도 많지만, 이렇게 삶의 트라우마가 될 정도의 상처를 받아가는 이들도 많은데, 아쉽게도 메간은 후자의 케이스인듯. 그곳에서 큰 사건을 겪은것에 대해 한국인으로써 가슴이 많이 아프고 또 미안할따름입니다. 부디 몸도 마음도 풍족하게 회복되어서 건강한 모습으로 다시 볼수있길.

The first reality of South Korea is the language that is sometimes difficult to communicate with them, which is why closeness is also unlikely. Another would be Korean food which is spicy but delicious since some of us including myself can't stand the spiciness of food. For the rest, I really enjoy the places of South Korea, it is amazing💖

Hence it’s important to have a full time partner which gives you anchor in life , specifically who has same life experience and interests,
When you have that anchor ( emotional support) you won’t be vulnerable ever again !

Wow, girl. Your video popped up first on my feed today and I am so glad it did. When I tell you I felt the Spirit as you shared your testimony and redemption the Lord has brought you through, I REALLY felt it. I was brought to tears. When the battle starts to heat up, that’s when you know there is a blessing and favor surrounding your life that is about to burst forth. The enemy sees that and tries his best to keep it from happening. BUT GOD. He really is Deliverer and Healer. I can’t express enough how proud I am that you are bold enough to share this. It’s going to cause of ripple effect of healing and deliverance in other people’s lives who are struggling with the same thoughts and feelings. This video was SO relatable about feeling rejected and like a misfit. But your honesty about living in Korea was really helpful.... Even when I just go to Korea for a short while, I already feel the lack of TRUE connections (even though I go to church.)
