The offense is miles ahead of our defense. Cant give up 82 to marshall. Even though is was kind of a run and gun game. So i could see them giving up some extra points. The offense is a jauggernaut. Maybe when we get some big men back the defense will pick up. All the best teams ky has had. Weve alwzys had a really good big man. Davis. Or karl.anthony towns. Or cousins. Or randle. Or heck even josh harrison who came up big for us in the tourney. Even though he wasnt a great center

Coach Calipari shouts at Mitchell from the sidelines, and Mitchell races to double-team the Marshall ball handler. Sheppard, anticipating the Marshall ball handler's pass to escape the double-team, rushes forward and deflects it. Wagner nabs the resulting loose ball and taps it to Mitchell. Sheppard, already heading for the other half court, motions for Mitchell to pass the ball to him. Mitchell immediately does so, and without a dribble Sheppard makes a two-handed pass over more than half the length of the court to Reeves in the paint on the far end. Reeves lays it in. The ball never touched the floor from the time Kentucky got the ball until Reeves’ layup. Total elapsed time between Sheppard's deflection and Reeve's layup: five or six seconds.
Anyone else go to the game and see the intros and announcements? Notice anything weird? Not to give it away, but it struck me as odd that Marshall took the jump ball starting position while Kentucky was getting announced and were lined up to jump for a good minute before the game started. In hindsight it seems like that might not have been the best decision but I'm not sure how many other people saw it that way.
They had to wait for a minute for the broadcast to finish their intro. Next time you go to a game look across the court opposite of the scores table and you will see people with a camera and lights on them. Also the game is set to start at 7 and they start player intros 5 mins before. Basically we have to wait on tv cause they run a scripted program
@@juliusscearce1174 you're talking about after UK's intro had finished. I'm not. UK was still being introduced (Fireworks still going off) and Marshall was planted at center court waiting for the jump.
Agreed but both those guys provide a spark and an uptempo flow off the bench and I don't think Edward's or Wagner would provide that same energy which can change the momentum of the game like u seen them do against Kansas and st joe

This Kentucky team is going to be dangerous come March with how well they shoot it. If they get hot, they might run through the whole tournament.
