I am planning to have Minn K 36V TM installed on my R200. Not planning on out board to recharge a lithium. How long do you think 80AH 36v lithium would last on average offshore day Stuart Fl. I would only expect to spot lock for maybe 4 or 6 hours. Your vids are great . Keep them coming.

Watched earlier. How much longer is the larger battery lasting? I’m looking to go from AGM to Lithium. I saw an onboard charger that will charge your trolling battery off your starters while the motor is running. Made by Nexgen
… it has twice the Ah so it should last twice as long. Haven’t ran out of juice yet. We have the LithiumPro 12v to 36v onboard charger and the Wall charger. It’s a 80ah battery so it’s equivalent to a 160 ah AGM. So far so good, they had a 100ah China Lithium for about $1400 but I’m pretty sure this 80ah should never run out as long as I keep it topped off.
I’ve never owned a Dakota but this generic lithium battery I installed a little over six months ago is working great and it’s 80 Ah. If I have learned one thing if you think you need that much battery get a little more then you think you’ll need.
… my Lithium Pro was 40 Ah, the generic Lithium is 80 Ah and it’s been working great. Run time all depends how you use it, I’ve burnt through that 40 Ah battery in two hours before when the wind and current where ripping. So far the generic 80 Ah has never run out and it was half the price of Lithium pro.
… the Lithium Pro battery isn’t dead, it’s just not lasting as long as I would like with the new Minn Kota trolling motor. In really heavy current it was only lasting about 3 hours. So I basically doubled that time with the new battery.

… I removed the on board charger, I’ve yet to run out of juice. No doubt it will last 4-6 hrs

With this battery you could run a 12’ boat for a few days
… you won’t need a 36v though, you could get away with a 24v or maybe even a 12v
What size trolling motor do you have? I have the same boat Robalo R200 I am looking at a 72” shaft 120 thrust Rhodan

I planning on getting the 36v Rodan and I was looking at the Dakota lithium 36v 63amp , any thoughts on Dakota

… yes 12v to 36v charger, from LithiumPro’s. I’m not sure if they still sell them.
So are you powering everything off the lithium battery?
Just the trolling motor, the rest of the systems are 12 volt.
