My amazing housemate gave me a set of bluetooth earbuds, and access to their spotify. And spotify clocked me as a positive person, so it suggested "cheerful tunes" as a playlist and it's where I heard this track. It felt so personal. I started a routine of riding to woolies listening to the playlist and walking around the aisles in my own little world when this song came on. It was the first Australian track among all the overseas stuff - I just got lost in it - I kept wandering around snaking through the aisles not needing anything other than to hear this whole song before I got distracted by checkouts and capitalism & all of that. This track is so damn spesh, I can't believe that I might have ever even missed it. The memories it brings back for me of being on the river cat, gliding beneath The Story Bridge along The Brisbane River with someone I loved sitting next to me in the sunshine. This hit my heart, it's a work of art

in my 20 years of music experience, I have never seen anyone quite like thelma plum. Her drive, her relentlessness is just unparalleled. Am i saying that she is the best music artist of all time? No. But do i believe that given the opportunity she could win a grammy along the likes of Ed Sheeran, Elvis Presley or Michael Jackson in their primes? Absolutely.

What a wonderful song and video! I love how you shot this video on a river. I often use the analogy that life is like being on a river, sometimes it's smooth sailing but other times it's rough and turbulent.
