    The good thing about Victoria is that despite the fact that the city is small, is ubicate in Capital Regional District, with a population of 400k habitants. You can go to Saanich where the housing is cheaper

    It is very difficult biking in Moncton. Lots of people do it but it is definitely a driving city. The roads in Moncton are some of the worst in Canada. Most students live in East moncton and around Central moncton. Huge increase in crime and homelessness. Downtown is seeing major upgrades though the homeless and drug problem has taken over. It is a good city despite this and has potential for newcomers

    Hi Yulia correction on Victoria’s population- it’s now around 400,000. Greater Victoria is made up of 13 municipalities whereas cities like Winnipeg or Halifax are one big municipality....cheers Michael from Sooke, Vancouver Island

    The 2022 population for metro Halifax is 417,000 and for metro Victoria 394,000. The difference in the sizes of these two cities is not as great as you suggest.

    Edmonton's population is actually around 1.5 million. The city itself is 1.1 million, but we have smaller communities surrounding Edmonton with no separations to the city...

    i got an ITA from sk and i declined because i realised i might go for NS or BC and the reasons are same as per your advise
    but the future of SK is going to be boom as compare to other province.....

      Hello ive lived in Alberta since 1995. I have 2 young kids and think Edmonton is a great place to raise a family. Better university and housing is cheaper than Calgary. Overall Calgarys a nicer city however.

      @@treyd3433if you don’t need to live in a big city I’d recommend Medicine Hat and Lethbridge in the south. Both cities are big enough to have basically all city services while still being small enough to navigate.

    My son after grade 12 has got admission Letter to Bachelor of Engineering from both Dalhousie University in halifax as well as from University of Victoria, BC. where should i send him from PR point of view and cost of living point of view ? . He is just 17 years old. The tuition fee of 4 years of UVIC is 20000 CAD less than Dalhousie. Kindly advise !!!!

      I think they are used to foreigners by now. The entire province has less than 800k people; thus, job market is small compared to big cities.
