That's encouraging. I'm wondering if my 20 something daughter might have gone down this road. She lives in another state and really bristles when it comes to anything I say involving Christianity. I've gotten hints at where she's at but she won't talk about it. She was sold out for Jesus when she graduated from HS and now I know she had a big target on her back by the demonic realm. The suicide of one of her best friends pushed her over the edge to reject God and now she's wandering. But hearing stories of how prodigals returned home is always encouraging.
@@veritatemdicam4585 I returned from new age after more then decade. No one would have suspect I would come to Jesus. Prayers are crucial, so that her grief is healed by Lord and she doesn= t feel need to turn to the opposite side for consolation.
@@veritatemdicam4585 Prodigals, you just said it, how it truly is,... the prodigals always return, have to return, remind her of this truth, and tell her you're not even worried over her because you trust her God for her. She can run as hard as she likes, but to no avail. When God wants you, where can you go too?....God Bless you and your Family.
I practiced witchcraft for over 20 years. I had left no commandment unbroken. Jesus reached into the deepest darkness and pulled me into the light. If you think that you are too bad to be saved, you don't realize how good of a savior Jesus is. Praise the Lord for His mercy and faithfulness.
@Jason Kellar All glory and praise to God....he put me on my knees and I am unrecognizable (even physically in some ways). God is SO good. I can't wait to see Jesus face to face. I haven't cried in decades, but now I'm overflowing with tears of gratitude each day. What a wonderful savior we have.
@A. you need to study the Bible... The ceremonial law was for Israel, but the moral law is for everyone and always will be. The law is a schoolmaster that shows us our desperate need for Jesus. You will stand before holy God and give an account of your every word and action, and without the blood of Jesus to cover your sins, you will stand condemned. Witchcraft is forbidden in ALL of the Bible, Old Testament, and new. It is primarily idolatry, but it is an abomination to the Lord. Jesus has set me free. God is beyond good, and his word stands forever, no matter what humans think.
@A. No. You are not interested in learning. If you were, you would study the Bible for yourself. You only want to hassle a new Christian, argue, and spread misinformation.
"you might be a witch because you enjoy a bath with candles" is such a fantastic example as to the perversion of creation. i am a Christian & love wearing flower crowns, walking barefoot, using herbs, admiring crystals, lighting candles, etc.. & have never used any of those things as witchcraft. Wicca is claiming so many things God created simply for beauty. thank you for sharing all of this! 💚
As a former practitioner of Wicca/New Age, thank you for this interview. I got sucked in for many of the reasons mentioned. Interestingly, the friend who influenced me, even SHE drew the line at outright Satanism and always said what an evil man Anton LeVay was. However, upon closer scrutiny, it is clear that Wicca and Satanism overlap ( truthfully, they cannot be separate). I say this with respect to their doctrine of 'as above, so below' where Wiccan imagery mirrors that of many Baphomet statues. Indeed, Satan does masquerade as an angel of light.
Im not familiar with satanism and would be reluctant to even read about it, but it seems like what you said is a good way to show the evil they are dabling in. My freind from childhood is a man living as a woman, claiming to be both a witch and a christian. I'm trying to figure out how to reach him for Christ, but im at a loss about how to approach him. Any ideas?
@@gravitypronepart2201 Hi hon!! I make it a point to be unembarrassed about going to church, being in a Bible study or if I spent time with my church family in any way, and I try working it in to casual chat if it goes that way. If confronted about what I believe, I will not lie. Honestly, I don't like confrontation so it scares me to have that conversation sometimes, but if things get heated, I attempt to diffuse things by letting the person know that 1) I will never be mean to them, despite what I believe, that I have no desire to hurt them, and it would pain me if anyone ever did and 2) that I love and respect them enough to tell them the truth (even if they don't believe me), and if they don't believe me, that's okay. After that, I don't push it (though I may 'accidentally' leave a Gospel tract). This method may not be the best way for you or everyone, but it's one I use to demonstrate love towards those who are lost while understanding that my words are offensive. [Edit: Under no circumstances should you say, 'I'm sorry'. 🤗]
As an ex-New Ager & ex-leftist who got very close to full blown witchcraft before coming back to Christ, this conversation hit home. What a blessing Amy is, she is bright, well spoken & also I can see that she is led by the Holy Spirit when she speaks. Thank you both for this.
Please don't equate "leftist" with being anti-Christian. In America, being "leftist" really just means being Democrat for the most part. That includes many things. Some of those things are correct & important. Being "right wing" just means Republican for the most part. Republicanism includes a number of things that Jesus would *not* support. People need to stop being hoodwinked into thinking that there's any such thing as a Jesus political party. There is not.
So thankful to find this video today!!! My son is 18 and struggling with mental health issues but I believe it is a demonic oppression. He doesn’t want to go to church with us or sit with us when we pray (although we require it as a condition of living in our home) and I think he has opened a door to evil. I want to help him, but he needs Jesus!!! I’m on my knees a lot these days. 🙏🏼❣️
Tho I rarely watch your videos... I listen to your podcast episodes on Spotify regularly. I love the guests you bring on and I'm thoroughly in awe of how God has been using you to spread the Kingdom Message. To God be the glory!
Thankyou so much for this dialogue. It’s very interesting and informative. I have friends who have been pulled into Wicca and I understand the allure given their background and the pain they have endured in their life. This conversation was great. Thankyou.
Thank you for sharing your story...This just encourages me to lean more into the Holy Spirit.Let's strive to keep connected to Christ and all He is doing in the Body of Christ.Ephesians 4 helps us see we all have a place in the Body of Christ and what the gifts He gives us is for.The enemy works to dissuade us and attacks us when we are on the right track, which is in pursuit of this God that we serve.Keep the faith and keep sharing His kingdoms message so it reaches the ends of the Earth
I was in a church for 27 years and realised I’d never actually been taught to pray... so... I even went to a Christian book shop... but couldn’t find a book on how to pray.. that I could trust. Some Christians treat God like He is Santa Claus ... but we’re to serve Him ... and pray according to HIS will. The Lords Prayer is a good start.
There are prayers in the Bible. The Bible teaches us how to pray and you could pray the psalms. Are you in the same church? Perhaps it was because you not saved at that time and your eyes have since been opened?
It's nice to see a conversation about Wicca from Christians without ignorance or baseless accusations. I was very into Wicca when I was younger and am now on a journey with Christ. It's very turbulent and not always clear but no protection or banishment spell ever worked as well as calling on God to help me.
Alisa, wonderful listener! So good that you don't interrupt your interviewees, that so many questioners seem to have to do to get their points across, not those of the person being asked. Bless you for this interview -- very, very informative.
This issue is close to my heart. My oldest step daughter’s mother is wiccan. I have seen the conflict in my step daughter (12) who has christian influences from her grandparents and my husband and I. She accepted the Lord and was baptized this summer but is being told that the bible is a book constructed by men and is not true. That thwarts invitations to see “what the bible says”. We are stuck in a situation where we have to be careful not to damage her relationship with her mom while speaking truth into her as best we can. Pray for us if you are prompted please.
I am going through this same thing, with my bonus son who is 12 and his mom is "spiritual" and I feel the tension and confusion he feels between our house and hers. I pray for opportunities to show him truth in our time together and I also pray for his mom and I love her as much as she will let me. I ask questions when he mentions new agey things she does or is doing but I never insult his mom or her beliefs, I just look for opportunities to ask questions about it. Mama Bear apologetics helps a lot, and Greg Koukl talks about how to use questions to see what they really believe, what do you mean by this? Or what made you come to this conclusion? And a lot of times it ends not making sense when they say it back out loud and makes them think harder about what it is they are saying they really believe. I hope this encourages you. I will pray for you friend and your bonus daughter. We are all in this together ♥️
Many prayers. What a situation! It´s crucial to address her doubts about bible, Jesus, lot of people would stay in fatih had someone introduced them to apologetics. So frequently people will challenge the but no one goes from factual reasons why the challenges are mostly empty. Apologetics is crucial
I live on my wife’s reservation. Smudging is something my kids have been introduced to as a cultural practice during class time in their old elementary school. It is a common practice on the reservation. My wife and I have told the kids how burning sage is just burning sage, and that there’s no reason to think it would keep any evil spirit away. In fact, by putting your faith in something like that over God you might be inviting things you shouldn’t.
Similarly , I am sixty years old and have been walking with the Lord since I was born again at 17. I do yoga with a great group of people for exercise only . We don’t “practice” yoga , we do vinyasa for fitness and flexibility- period . That really freaks some people out .
You do realize that smudging is practiced within Christianity as well, right? Catholic priests use holy smoke during church ceremonies. They're not burning sage, but plant resins like frankincense and myrrh, or copal, but it's the same principle.
As a follower of Jesus, let me say that this video is 99% awesome. However there's 1 major thing that's not mentioned regarding what's been driving a lot of people away from Christianity. That reason is this: So many people are mixing the corruption of politics with 'Christianity.'
What a great interview. I always enjoy listening to the testimony of people who have come out of things like this and are able to inform others of what to look out for. I have definitely experienced the click feeling within the church as well as gossiping about people behind their back and it's not fun and sadly misrepresents real christians. Please continue to have people on who have amazing testimonies of God's saving grace.
My teenage daughter used to love collecting pretty rocks as a kid. When she got older, crystals became a trend so she easily transitioned w/o is even knowing. Going into COVID lockdown she became very lonely and depressed and got into something teens are doing called “shifting” (dream realities), and now she rejects God and the Bible and gets very angry when we bring Him up or try to ask questions. We try to limit social media but she just gets old phones from friends and sneaks doing whatever she wants with no oversight. Now she’s starting to get into vaping (at school) etc… she’s too old to pull out of public school (she’s finishing 10th grade) and it not be a huge fight that possibly leads to her running away. It’s hard to know what to say when all my reasoning is tied up in the Bible and she rejects the Bible. Raising teens in this generation is not for the faint of heart. Please pray for her. And for us.
She is what 16? That is the age of rebellion. As a former youth minister, she is ready to see some of the realities of the satanic realm. Show her some youtube video's about those who came out of it. Of course you know what she can handle, but after she is exposed to the dangers of it by the video's, tell her to start watching for "signs" and she will see how evil and demonic those around her are and she will be shown things that will scare her. As you pray, God will protect her. Our God knows we are intrigued by this evil, it is tempting and alluring. It is a slow deception by the adversary, so just tell her "Watch for the signs about how good this is or how bad it is. You also have a conscience, what is it telling you? Let her know an ancient, supernatural book that explains our two natures that is full of power....you don't have to say it is the apostle Paul in Romans Chapter 7:14 through the end. May God bless you and interrupt her....I'm still waiting for my niece to leave her lesbian lifestyle. "My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge" Hosea 4:6.....CJ
A helpful discussion about an important topic. I don't think God will lead all families to do this, but here are two things we did that I think produced very good fruit in our (now 24-year old) daughter when she was growing up: 1. homeschool 2. we had no TV in our home (for about 12 years none of us watched any at all except when we were visiting other homes )
@@lindasnyder1729 , I thank God that he gave you an escape from an abusive home life. I don't think homeschool is best for every child and family. But, it is best for many.
One aspect of indulging in any type of occult activity (this would certainly include Wiccan activities) that they did not discuss was the real danger of those doing so becoming demonically oppressed. When people seek help from any supernatural source other than God, even if they don't realize it, they are inviting evil spirits to get involved in their lives. And those demonic beings sometimes accept the invitation. This can lead to all kinds of problems including dark thoughts, depression, intensified temptations, and physical sickness. Thank God, there is freedom available through Jesus Christ.
Thank you so much for talking about this. Recently, I am alarmed at the sheer number of witchcraft related books and resources I see everywhere I go. My local library, Barnes & Noble, Target. Books that were once relegated to the back corner are blockbusters now. We need to be praying against this spiritual wickedness as it is deceptive and destructive.
I know!! Just in the last what, year? Or two?? I’ve never seen anything like it in my life, though I’m only 31 yo. Like you say, Barnes and Noble had a huge table covered in books from a myriad of occult topics right near the front. It’s quite shocking.
You can add Joann Fabrics to the list. I was horrified a week ago when I went to the craft book area, and there were all these books on wicca! I was so upset I left the store.
I have a few clients who have been abused in the church - serious abuse- and ran screaming to the new age . I pray for them daily and work with them on their presenting issues - the Holy Spirit is the only one who can heal them .
Thank you for this episode! It's amazing how God so often meets us with exactly what we need in the times we need it, and I can say for myself this episode has been a godsend. Just yesterday I had the opportunity to converse with a coworker who though didn't describe having ties to Wicca explicitly, very much practices and has beliefs that are in line with the things Amy shared. I'm encouraged knowing a bit more about this and pray God may humbly use me as a light in her life to see who Jesus is clearly and the surpassing beauty and sufficiency of the gospel to save. The Bible is clear that sorcery is an abomination. Just because a Christian uses it, doesn’t mean God approves. The OT includes so many warnings regarding sorcery and idolatry. Could explain why most Christians have all the same problems as the world today
I'm in my opinion that's still touching an accursed thing. Also superheroes are the savior of the world in thier story lines..only Jesus is savior of this world.
Overwhelming world of social media multiplied malinfluences. Awareness of it, however, spurs us on to know His truth more fully, and to strive to continue to seek uncompromising but gentle and humble dialogue with the confused all about us
Coming from someone that has no religion I actually agree with a lot of what Wicca comes with after listening to this. Do what makes YOU happy, love and support others, protect our health and the environment for yourself and others along w future generations. And she clearly said each Wiccan is different and many of them don’t even believe in Satan. I don’t understand what the issue is with someone doing something that makes them happy when it doesn’t affect anyone else? I love to see others happy. Just comes off weird to me that so many are discussing how bad this supposedly is.
I can see how that wouldn't be clear. As someone who used to be a witch, then an atheist for a long time, and now is a Christian - the best way I can describe it is that in Wicca you try to harness the powers of nature to do your will. In Christianity you seek to have proper vertical alignment with God and trust God's will. The will of human beings can be very twisted (just look around), while the will of God is the cosmic love that brought all of existence into being, sustains it, and renews it.
@@AnastasiaR but the chick even said each person is different. Yeah maybe some are trying to harness “powers” for greed, but if someone is just appreciating nature while legitimately trying to help and love others that’s an amazing thing. Spreading the word that Wicca is bad and everyone that practices it is in harm seems like it has a false narrative behind it. No matter what religion someone is if they are a good person at heart that’s all that should matter.
@@cherryboo043 The thing that unites all of them is that they are doing their own will in the world. Whether they are a good person or not isn't the point, the point is that none of us know better than God.
@@AnastasiaR we will just have to agree to disagree. I’m going to do what makes me happy and if I’m not harming anyone or any animals in the process I don’t see the problem. To each their own. Have a good day.
@Spicy Vanilla I'm not trying to tell you what to do. In your original comment you didn't understand this perspective or the problem with Wicca from the Christian perspective so I was trying to explain it the best I could, as someone who sees both sides. Have a good day! Thanks for the conversation ❤️
My wife and I are taking a Kumeyaay ethnobotany class. In this class they have a botanist professor and a native elder. The elder is saying that when you pick a plant you have to say a prayer, thank the plant, and tell the plant what you are going to use it for so it’s energies can be directed towards that end. My wife and I aren’t doing that mess. lol. We just wanted to learn more about some of the eatable and medicinal plants on the reservation (we also get to learn more about my wife’s native language a bit).
This gave so much good info that I wonder if someone will watch it and find wicca appealing. I pray against this is the Name of our Savior, Yeshua, Jesus.
This is so timely. An old friend just posted something about how she (before becoming wiccan) had so many questions about Jesus and the Bible that nobody was willing to answer for her 😢 She now rejects the idea that you need a Creator or set of rules written down for you in order to “have integrity” or “do good.” In fact, she says that if your worldview requires that a supernatural being has to tell you how to be good, then that’s not goodness at all. It’s compulsory or unauthentic. How would you answer that?
She is correct though. If you are only doing what is moral and ethical because you are told to by believing in religion or because it is illegal then you aren't really truly loving and ethical at all. It is fear and not thinking for yourself.
@@sarcodonblue2876 I disagree. Maybe for a works-based religion, where you feel you need to earn something or you’re afraid you might lose something. But not for those who are saved by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ and the maker of the universe. We don’t give our kids rules because we are petty or want them to fear us; we give them rules to protect them and their siblings, to train them in virtues and habits that will benefit them for life, and some are to please and bless the parents (my kids give daddy a kiss when he leaves for work, not out of fear but out of love). Just because we are given rules instead of just *knowing* them, doesn’t mean we are obeying them in fear. We are given an instruction book of how to live life best, for our benefit and God’s pleasure. I trust the Father and I will do my best (infallibly) to follow his ways…
@@kimberlymurray304 some one can be an absolute prick all their life and suddenly believe in Jesus on the death bed and they are now saved and yet a non believer could be a very kind hearted person who dedicates their lives to helping others won't be saved because they don't believe in n Jesu as or God.
@@sarcodonblue2876 who gets to decide what makes someone a “prick” or makes someone “good”? By what standard? Who can know the heart? And yes, that’s one of my favorite things about the gospel of grace…it’s nothing I could ever accomplish on my own, by my own efforts or so called goodness. God saves those who realize they need a Savior and heals those who see that they are sick and can do nothing “good” enough to earn God’s favor. Jesus did it all on the cross and it is our free gift to receive. Someday I hope this sinks in for you and you see what a beautiful gift His mercy is.
I want God to help me. I have so many problems, but I’m lying in bed most days in spite of everything I don’t even have the energy explain to you guys, but gone so bad. I don’t even say the words, but sometimes I think if I knew the worker would help me I would do it please pray for me.
I wish people didn’t judge Christianity on the people in the church. I do know what she means about church group cliques. It’s in all ages. I know it hurts to be left out and seeing the hypocrisy in others. But that is not Christianity.
That is exactly Christianity in a nutshell. Jesus said "Love one another as I have loved you." and he loved everyone without exception........Christians only love people who fall in line with ideology. They never see Christ in the Trans kid, the people at the border seeking a better life, the struggling single mother etc. These are the exact people Jesus would choose to be around, not the "holier than thou" sect.
Got my ticket for the conference at CCCH! Was so excited for another chance to visit CCCH so a perfect blend! Thanks for this interview, I love hearing people's stories, especially when they tell how they found their way back to Jesus.
It seems to me that the name it and claim it ministries would fall into wicca ideologies. My will not God's will be done. That's if I understood what was being said.
I had the same thought as I listened to this excellent interview. All the allure to counter insecurity in people can be fed by the hyper charismatic. You might have hidden prophetic gifting or a spiritual gift that you need to discover and that makes you feel powerful. Ive seen this correlation now for a while. Broken people are in danger of using spiritual things to fill the brokenness in them especially if they seek all of this and not Christ. This is why we need to focus on Him first and seek Him.
Can you tell me if you feel the Free Masons are good or bad? I am coming across contradictory findings and have a friend that is very deeply involved in this. He feels like it is just a social organization but I feel uneasy.
I’m on bridge of if I want to go back to Christianity but idk if I can I’ve been Wiccan for 11 years and it hard because this is all I’ve known for a long time. Me and my hubby started going back to church but stopped because we are so busy I just don’t know if god would forgive me for closing the door on him for for his long… 🥺

When I was in middle school my sister worked at a renn fair, and the crystals and tarot and Wicca just flowed there, and she fell into it. I followed a bit too with protection runes. If we didn’t have a falling out I may have kept it up, but I think she’s still practicing 25 years later.
Hmmm. I used to go to a Witchcraft shop in Hollywood, California and get candles 'til my atheistic dad stopped me from lighting candles at home. Good thing. California has earthquakes. One earthquake could cause a candle to fall and there you have a fire. Now, I'm in Chicago, Illinois. Occasionally, I light a candle but not always. Anyway, I got off into a tangent. I was an impressionable teenager and got candles from a West Hollywood witchcraft shop and then stopped short of getting into witchcraft because my dad didn't want me to light candles....Years later, I had a Palm reading but didn't keep up with that. And then, had a Tarot card reading...didn't keep up with that either. Went to an astrologist who claimed to believe in God and told me that when I come to Chicago, that I would have a choice between two jobs and could not go wrong picking which one; well, I ended up having two jobs at the same time and worked seven days a week and hated the world. Now I just work part-time...and don't hate the world...I go to Moody Church.
to tease you, to tempt you, to pull all the right strings in YOUR life. As long as it has you walking/going AWAY from God. The pied piper - played the tune that the masses WANTED to hear. (smacks of a dishonest politician - no lack of/shortage of them around).
Absolutely great suggestion! Those “demons” are not silly made up fairy tales, they are actual supernatural beings. Not to be trifled with. Not to be feared if you arein Christ, but also not to be careless about
@A. The Bible does affirm that gods other than Yahweh exist. There is a lot more to Dr. Heiser's teaching than just Deuteronomy 32:8. There is 2 Corinthians 4:4, Psalm 82, Daniel 10, and Genesis 6. Exactly how are Jesus' and Paul's teachings incompatible? I seriously doubt the Disciples who knew Jesus in the flesh would accepted someone who taught another gospel. See Simon Magus as an example.
This is so true for us that feel like loners. Its easy to get acceptance in the dark things, and its portrayed as so cool. If I hadn't had a strong community of firm and kind Christians around me I would have easily sunk right into it. The notion that you can have power and be in community through wicca is a huge draw for those who felt they were snubbed by Christians who weren't showing Christ's love and smearing their witness
Strange, of all words that could be used, even made up words, how they choose to use the word 'Witch', which is synonymous with evil powers and ill intent.
I don't run into the people with questions. I watch people leave the church or carry on in it without questions. It is so discouraging to look at. Testimonies like this help me see God IS still working. Nobody's journey is short and simple. It could change anytime. Thank you, Ladies, for bearing witness of Christ's saving grace!
Alisa, you and the viewers might be interested in "Magical Mystical Church" you tube channel and podcasts. She exposes occult practices in the church etc.
There are some witches worship satan or the horn rimmed consort of the goddess. But goddess and pagan gods are really interchangeable with satan and demons
Craig Hawkins wrote an excellent critique of Wicca in his book, "Witchcraft: Exploring the World of Wicca." He also wrote, "Goddess Worship, Witchcraft and Neo-Paganism."
Everything of the first 10 min of this is what I witnessed with my former best friend of 16 years. The owner of the crystal shop she went to even claimed to be a Christian. Wicca became a way for my fiend to claim power she felt patriarchy and Christianity robbed her of. She reconnected to her Irish roots by taking classes from an Irish Shaman. It still breaks my heart because when I returned the crystal she gave me. The wall that went up was so impenetrable and I became evil and unsafe for saying I couldn’t join her on this path. I miss my friend so much but I know myself and I could not disrespect the Holy Spirit like that and pretend the things we were discussing and entertaining would not impact my heart and turn me from God.
I feel this with my brother. Ever since I accepted Christ the walls are up and I am no longer safe for him for no longer following relativism and "all paths lead to god" and warn him from these practices. it= s very heartbreaking. Prayer is crucial.

34:07 "...that's like good critical thinking skills that we have to foster..." So, let me get this straight; the woman who left one superstitious set of beliefs for a second superstitious set of beliefs, only to return to the original superstitious set of beliefs, is attempting to comment on "good critical thinking skills". Wow, the lack of self awareness is astounding. Also, to Alisa, morals are subjective. Please learn to accept that.
@A. Thanks, I appreciate that. I grew up in a Catholic household. It wasn't until I decided to hold my beliefs up to scrutiny that I realized how unfounded they were.
Oof, I really like cosplay though. I don’t do immodest ones or ones of characters that aren’t admirable (not meaning characters without flaws). Which narrows the scope that I can do way down. 😂 But I love recreating costumes and it’s opened the door to some outreach. That said, if I wasn’t saved, I would be sucked way into Wicca by now just because of my personal propensities. Thanks so much for bringing the prevalence of this to light.
The more I heard, the more attractive Wicca sounded. That was disturbing. I wonder how many people got interested in Wicca just because of your favorable description. (MANY positives were mentioned.) Please be careful that your presentation does not have the opposite effect that you want.
I like crystals, but not as any cleansing or anything magic, but just a beautiful thing of God's creation. At a local coffee shop they started selling crystals. I was looking at them, but all were listed as having some kind of power. From the description on each crystal at the shop, it gave me the impression that the crystals went through some ceremony to have these powers. So even though I don't believe in these powers, I didn't want to buy these crystals that were clearly created by the seller for occult practices
They may not believe in Satan, but Satan is the one convincing them there is no Satan. Bottom line. If you don't Worship Jesus Christ you are serving Satan!. He comes in many forms
That's great-think critically for kids. Too often we want to overprotect kids when the world is going to affect them eventually. When we look at war torn refugees i the natural realm they have learned self sufficiency and how to survive. Same deal in the spiritual realm; there is a war out for your kids and we should be the ones to explain to them so that they can be spiritual warriors among their own generation!
I really feel that I am alone in this take away from your presentations: how are you able to effectively evangelize/advise/redirect people who are sinners without any mention of scriptural quotes that speak directly to the things you discuss? You leave your "authority" in another room. Christ had the best comments, and responses to sin. "Gosh Nancy, you should stop that activity it is sinful.?" "Says who? Nancy responds." "God says it and Christ says hit here... chapter & verse (as punctuation and your authority), you retort. You seem to ignore thas, "Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the word of God." Rom 10:17 Hearing the words of God, not mine. God's word is central as it is Scripture only that makes people wise for salvation. Found in 2 Timothy 3:15; It is only the Bible which testifies of Jesus found in John 3:15. There is so much more to support speaking God's word to non-believers! Perhaps I am stupid but why "softsell" our Lord and Savior? You can and must share the Gospel with the Bible as your source. It can be done with gentleness and kindness. Perhaps you do not want to offend someone with honesty. Any offense is against God if your listener turns away. How many did Jeus watch walk away and he never changed his approach. The decision to become a believer is between the Holy Spirit and the listener, not between you and the listener. You must deliver the words that God provided. not the words you want to use.
Where did she say not to do that? I never heard either of them say that. Only that you first need to hear where they are coming from. Christ frequently used a socratic approach of asking questions.
@@Julia29853 I stand on the scriptures that I mentioned. Job and God had an exchange that used Q&A discourse however one sided. That isn't the point. Again, this is my view: how can anyone talk about sin for over an hour and discuss bringing a person to an understanding that what they're doing is wrong without relying on Scripture either in the telling of the encounter or the transformation of the sinner? It cannot be that my words would pierce the heart of anyone, but the words of God, of the Savior and or the Holy Spirit can. If she did use scripture, why not say so? When we baptize people, we use the words given us by Christ. We do not make a pronouncement of our own. There is a self-evident reason for that. One can use John 3:16; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; John 1:12; and Revelation 3:20a just as starters. Perhaps she did, but why fail to mention the use of scripture as a tool to help another human abandon a sin? Imagine that a person wanting to not only know the story of the conversion but wanting to know the methodology also. IN this presentation that reader would only have part of what should be offered. And yes, I do dare to suggest that the offering in the video is lacking. Just an old man's opinion.
So a teenage girl decides to try out being a Neo-Wiccan for a year. That's not really someone who can be called an expert on a religion. This interview is pretty worthless
Happened to my daughter, 20 yers ago, she's just coming back to church now, praise God!

Seeing things like this makes me want to jump and dance like a fool. Lol
Praise God !!! What a testimony. 20 Years?? Wow!
Thank you for your comment! Keep sharing your testimony! Glory to God
@A. you need to study the Bible...
It's kind of like the gay pride 🏳️🌈. I burn with righteous anger inside over the perversion of God's precious promise to his children ❤️
He always speaks to us directly when He does it's loud and clear, he arrests our striving spirits. God Bless.
Any ideas?
@@gravitypronepart2201 Sounds like he needs prayer, but you can't save him other than to show you care.
What if the Bible is the "angel of light"?
It isn't anything like satanism. Satanism is about the worship of the self which is very much what our mainstream society is all about.
As an ex-New Ager & ex-leftist who got very close to full blown witchcraft before coming back to Christ, this conversation hit home. What a blessing Amy is, she is bright, well spoken & also I can see that she is led by the Holy Spirit when she speaks. Thank you both for this.
That you equate new age and leftist is so sad and telling.

Thankyou so much for this dialogue. It’s very interesting and informative. I have friends who have been pulled into Wicca and I understand the allure given their background and the pain they have endured in their life. This conversation was great. Thankyou.

What an insightful discussion! May God continue to bless many people through the ministries of Alisa and Amy!
How could you go to church for 27 years and not know how to pray?
There are prayers in the Bible. The Bible teaches us how to pray and you could pray the psalms. Are you in the same church? Perhaps it was because you not saved at that time and your eyes have since been opened?
I can't remember exactly where but the bible tells you how to pray and believe
It's nice to see a conversation about Wicca from Christians without ignorance or baseless accusations. I was very into Wicca when I was younger and am now on a journey with Christ. It's very turbulent and not always clear but no protection or banishment spell ever worked as well as calling on God to help me.
Alisa, wonderful listener! So good that you don't interrupt your interviewees, that so many questioners seem to have to do to get their points across, not those of the person being asked.
Bless you for this interview -- very, very informative.
She is a fantastic interviewer indeed!!
Thank you Alisa for these videos. They mean a lot to me. You have great guests as well. Blessing of our Lord, Jesus to you and yours!
@@nancybaumgartner6774 You can do stretches and exercising without doing Yoga which is a Hindu religious practice.
@@tracy5721 that’s what I do .
A helpful discussion about an important topic. I don't think God will lead all families to do this, but here are two things we did that I think produced very good fruit in our (now 24-year old) daughter when she was growing up:
1. homeschool
2. we had no TV in our home (for about 12 years none of us watched any at all except when we were visiting other homes )
I saw that at Walmart. Walmart!
I know!! Just in the last what, year? Or two?? I’ve never seen anything like it in my life, though I’m only 31 yo. Like you say, Barnes and Noble had a huge table covered in books from a myriad of occult topics right near the front. It’s quite shocking.

I love fantasy, cosplay, anime, and all that sort of thing. I love Lord of the Rings, and I like many fantasy books, etc. That stuff doesn’t lead most astray. We understand the line between entertainment and reality.
Lord of The Rings was written for a very Christian Tolkien, a good friend to CS Lewis

My wife and I are taking a Kumeyaay ethnobotany class. In this class they have a botanist professor and a native elder. This gave so much good info that I wonder if someone will watch it and find wicca appealing. I pray against this is the Name of our Savior, Yeshua, Jesus.
Satan's most dangerous lie is that he doesn't exist. That's why satanism is basically worship of self, do as thou wilt in other words.
Can I get a clarification about grounding/earthing. Some Christian friends are participating in this and it concerns me.

@@sarcodonblue2876 who gets to decide what makes someone a “prick” or makes someone “good”? By what standard? Who can know the heart? Did not expect to get called out for my interest in Wicca right after leaving the Jehovahs Witness religion. Wow. That caught my attention so fast. 😮
Thank you so much, ladies! Thank you for taking the time to help shed some light on this topic.
From what I'm hearing, wicca was the same religion of queen Jezebel who believed in goddess worship and evil control.

Absolutely great suggestion! Those “demons” are not silly made up fairy tales, they are actual supernatural beings. Not to be trifled with. Not to be feared if you arein Christ, but also not to be careless about
@@inchristalone25 How was Michael Heiser a Gnostic in any way?
The notion that you can have power and be in community through wicca is a huge draw for those who felt they were snubbed by Christians who weren't showing Christ's love and smearing their witness
Rebellious heart
Thank you.
What an informative interview - thank you!
Excellent, thanks very much 🙏💜
Great testimony... there is a big difference between Christians (followers of Christ) and Christianity
Good luck whatever path one chooses. Just do not try to step on others.

You should have Doug Wilson on your show
Thank you lovely ladies of God!
Alisa, you and the viewers might be interested in "Magical Mystical Church" you tube channel and podcasts. She exposes occult practices in the church etc.
I don't think Jesus had anything to do with her own decision to leave Wicca.
But now she has a whole new game to play and new friends. Have fun.
Gracias.
"God's Design" "accountability" now how about a rich conversation about the sexual abuse in christian churches? Let's hold that mirror up.
There are ways of telling if she is wiccan.
Beautiful!! 😍
You speak about oils. Are you speaking about essential oils - like Young Living essential oils?
Are these oils only used in WICCA and witchcraft ?
Join us tonight for WICCA Circle for Hekate. Or take your happy ass somewhere else. Don't blame others for your problems, or try to change them or what they do

I think the church ad a whole ignores these topics… the concept of Satan, the demonic is barely touched on. Thank you for this discussion!!
It happened to my daughter as well. She, instead, turned to God rather than from Him. We are blessed.
34:07 "...that's like good critical thinking skills that we have to foster..."
So, let me get this straight; the woman who left one superstitious set of beliefs for a second superstitious set of beliefs, only to return to the original superstitious set of beliefs, is attempting to comment on "good critical thinking skills".
A good idea is not necessarily God’s idea .
Witches are weak. A genie is real power.
You can just do cosplay and stuff without spiritual nonsense, right?
Power has always been Satan's temptation for women. It's what he used to tempt Eve in the garden. "Eat this and you will be like God."
@A. Revelation 12:9
My niece is telling me that she is a wiccan witch!!;: I told her to give her life to Jesus!;::'
They may not believe in Satan, but Satan is the one convincing them there is no Satan.
Bottom line. If you don't Worship Jesus Christ you are serving Satan!. He comes in many forms
Yahweh/Jesus commands you Xtians:
Exodus 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

The holes in these fake I dID wItCHrafT stories are hilarious.
So a teenage girl decides to try out being a Neo-Wiccan for a year. That's not really someone who can be called an expert on a religion. This interview is pretty worthless
