Hon, in 78 I was 12 yrs old! Love the salads, I had a dumpster chef salad for lunch today! Went DIVING today , 3 big bags of pink lady apples, a bag of lemons, a small pork tenderloin, a bag of avocados (already made guacamole, and put in frezzer) zucchini, 5 boxes of mini choc chip muffins, 2 boxes of fruit and grain bars, 12 grain bread, a garlic bread, banana cake, . Have a happy New Year and dive away! And hubby and I love you too! You are the best! If I ever come thru n.j. I'm buying you a cup of coffee! And the beets.... put in a pot, add some splenda and apple cider vinegar, yimo!
I'm a 66 baby too. I gave never dumpster dove. I don't think any of the grocery stores in my town keep their dumpsters open. But I would like to try sometime soon. What city are you in?
Great, healthy haul! It ticks me off that those things are so expensive to purchase, I like when you find lots of them when you dive. Healthy food should be cheap! I look forward to your videos, they always make me laugh. Social media has changed how we "know" people. I consider "youtube friends" a new category of relationships. You may not know all of us personally, but you know what we enjoy, because we keep watching and commenting. Your video just reminded me that I had a half of a head of lettuce in my crisper. So I paused and went and cut it up and made a dressing (mustard, bbq sauce, and splenda) and ate it because I skipped supper. 😋

I love watching your videos and seeing all your great finds. People would eat more healthy foods like salads, vegetables and fruits if they weren't so darn expensive. It's sad that they don't donate some of this food to shelters to help feed the homeless population. Some stores say they donate items but that seems to be a rare occasion if they do donate. Great video.

Hey Amy my Dad use to make zucchini boats he would take a spoon and get the inside out of the zucchini cut it the long way and half and take a spoon and get some out and mix it with peppers and onions and maybe some ground beef or chicken and marinara sauce and put it back inside of the zucchini half put mozzarella cheese and baked in the oven they were really really delicious
I love the sweet Vidalia dressing. That's a lot of zucchini, dehydrate some, I've shredded it and divided it, froze it into the size for zucchini bread, it works great. I love chocolate zucchini bread. Lol @ worms/beets.

I was born in 1962 so yes I remember way back when LOL. did you check to make sure no recalls. Funny thing is I am from Portsmouth Oh down by the Ohio River & we called the homeless hobo's. We would fix them a bologna sandwich & a cup of coffee maybe & they would leave & never show right back up asking for anything. They were appreciative & we weren't scared of them. Today I feel sorry for homeless people but sometimes I am scared of them. Great haul.

Wedge salads with Russian dressing is retro. My mom did that or with homemade french or buttermilk. Some steakhouse restuarant still serve it
