I felt ashamed, I am an English teacher in Mexico, and even though I try to make my classes fun and which kids love, I still want them to really be good, I will try to put into practice the seven rules you just spoke about, greetings and thank you Mr. Hoge
I have been in the U.S for over 5 years. My listening skill is getting better everyday, but my speaking skill is under standard. I try really hard to speak, but there is no improvements yet. As you said, I read so many textbooks. I tried to memorize the vocabularies, and I barely use them. Seriously, its been over years, i still cannot speak.
