Mine came damaged too! Apparently it's a manufacturing problem and nothing to do with retailers. It was making me sad to look at and I didn't wanna buy another so I looked up ways to polish off scratches on plastic and I managed to save my lightstick!! Here's what I did:
1. Lightly wet a q-tip, then rub it on a dry bar of soap well enough to coat a little.
2. Rub on scratch until the soap looks dry on the lightstick (maybe 10 seconds)
3. Put a very light dab of toothpaste on it and use a clean side of q-tip to rub in a circular motion for about 15 seconds.
4. Use a microfiber cloth (or cotton shirt should be ok, maybe?) and wipe in a firm, circular motion until toothpaste is gone.
5. Repeat until satisfied. (I had to do it 6 or 7 times... Also you can reuse the same soap/toothpaste q-tip). Use a lightly damp cloth to wipe off any excess once finished.
I was amazed at how well this trick worked, wish I could post before and after pictures here. If you do try it, lemme know how it worked out for you! 😊
*anyone underage reading this, please use parental supervision, wouldn't want you accidentally water log/damage your lightstick in the process. 😬

They can’t really change much bc the whole point is for the crowd to have similar lightsticks it would be weird to have two different looking lightsticks in the crowd. Plus idk about you but the Bluetooth thing where it changes depending on the song and you can control it is really creative

We have the same problem with the squeaking part. My lightstick only squeaks when she's in the mood lmao. It's hard to do another squeaking after another as well. I even thought of it being broken. Just like the product being limited edition, the air coming inside is also limited 🤣 Glad I'm not the only one experiencing it. Phew
Btw I got the lightstick a few hours ago and I'm watching these videos to see if they have the same concern as mine...
My other copy squeaks a little bit better but not by much. So seems like overall it’s just less squeaky.

Make sure you open the valve at the top. But even that if you watch mine, mine also doesn’t squeak as well as the v1.
