i am confused, the Jesus Prayer said in The Way of a Pilgrim is said “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me”. Is this a different Jesus Prayer, i do want to pray it properly. Both ways are beautiful though and this chant is 🙏🏻❤️

I think the full prayer is how it’s sung here. I’ve heard it several ways. But maybe for those beginning to pray it are instructed with the “Lord Jesus Christ, Have Mercy on me”.

Dear friend, forgive me for missing this comment and not responding before. I'm sure you have acquired more knowledge and understanding of the Jesus prayer now, notwithstanding, I will share a little based on what the holy fathers have said.
Firstly, sorry for the confusion - The reference was to the audio book of 'The Way of the Pilgrim'. This is the prayer for that audio book.
The are several versions of the prayer, though only one Jesus prayer. (If you haven't already, I encourage you to watch this documentary film on the Jesus prayer and monasticism: th-cam.com/video/pPpyVWbEzEA/w-d-xo.html
All versions are acceptable and 'proper' before the Lord when praying in sincerity of purpose and humility of spirit. Even if pitifully sometimes. Unless directed specifically by a spiritual father, we have to discover what works for us best. There are many opinions that cause confusion and hindering fear as opposed to Holy fear. If we have that good desire/right intentions and ask, the Lord will teach us through the Holy Spirit. His word is true. But as anyone who puts his hand to the plow in prayer knows by experience, often it's a great struggle for us to pray as attentively as we would desire. But the Lord loves a fighter.
I think the two most common versions are:
Lord Jesus Christ Son of God, have mercy upon/on me a sinner.
Lord Jesus Christ, Have mercy upon/on me - (traditionally and more widely used on mount Athos).
      Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy.
For me, I know that the Lord knows that I know that I am a sinner. I don't feel the need to include it. Whereas others do. One way isn't more humble than the other. It's the disposition of our heart.
There are other variations with slight differences, but the same all encompassing theological prayer unto the Saviour of our souls.
As at the holy monastery of Saint John the Baptist in Essex, England, when we are amid others, we can pray:
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy upon us. (We can add "and on Thy world"). This may help us more. Or perhaps we feel this without adding these beautiful words. And again, there are slight different ways.
We can pray simply: 'Lord have mercy' - with the same good and purpose spiritual disposition, if that makes sense.
We can also use the prayer to pray for others we feel inspired to pray for. So, there isn't just one 'proper' way of saying the prayer. This would be fundamentalism to say the least. We are not changing the Creed or committing heresy. Your thoughtfulness to want to do it right though is commendable. I had a similar struggle for many months when I began some years ago.
I hope you understand. The Jesus prayer is not an exercise to attain the unceasing prayer of the heart without effort. That is a very rare gift. Nor to try to experience high spiritual states etc. With the pure intention to repent and draw closer to God, in our weakness, we must make effort to simply pray and pray simply. Then the good Lord will keep us safe from delusion and do as He knows best.
Forgive me if I have expressed uncomely in anyway. Or perhaps too much.
May God bless us and save us all.
      With Love in Christ

@@ChristISComingAFTERAnti-christ Thank you so much, I’m humbled and honored by your response, and now have a better understanding. I know that Our Heavenly Father knows my sinful heart and desire to pray simply and simply pray as you’ve said. Thank you again, I will continue this beautiful prayer.
Yes, May God Bless us and save us all,
      In Christ Jesus name.

This beautiful chant is used as background to a magnificently read audio book: "The Way of a Pilgrim." Though six hours, it is worth every second. Personally, I have made it a daily listen during this Lenten season. It is very likely that I will continue to listen to it as long as it is on TH-cam. Blessings to all! 🙏

The ' euxe' protects from all harm, spiritual and physical. It is the scourge of demons, the vanquisher of the Evil One and the consolation of those who must of necessity interact with the world on a daily basis. Bury the prayer in your heart and it will soon beat along with it, and cleanse it by the Power of the Holy Spirit..

I cannot listen to this with commercials coming on every 5 or 10 minutes. 😔 Is there any way you can choose to remove

Lord have mercy! I have never had ads on at all and would never do such a thing. It's not within my control. TH-cam changed things about a year or so ago, I think, so that even small channels without monetisation can be polluted with ads in videos. Obviously, to entice viewers to subscribe to monthly premium. Sorry my friend, I share your frustration.
