Gotta take a minute to appreciate how incredible the beating piece of heart looks in twilight princess compared to the others. That detail is so awesome
This is so brilliant, explains how literally anyone could find the master sword and yet unnable to hold it, even having some of those "rare heart-shaped stones"
But if you look at the engraving in Wendy's collar, and cross reference the bathroom scrawlings inside Burger King, you can decipher the circular tablet that looks like the Mirror of Twili
The OoT Manga does mention Zelda's mother as well as Link's parents, stating that the queen passed away when Zelda was still very young but that she always played the royal lullaby to her daughter and that Link's father was a Hylian knight who died in the war and that his mother was wounded while escaping with Link and eventually dying in the Kokiri Forest. Now, keep in mind I did get this information from the german version of the manga and that the manga technically isn't canon. I just thought to bring this up.
Theres also the slight implication of romance between Link and Zelda in the manga (or at least I read that there were stronger implications of romance between them than there is in the game itself). Heck when Link goes to rescue Malon and Lon Lon Ranch, she's daydreaming about her knight in shining armor coming to her rescue and then Link drops in through the roof, she recognizes him but turns with a slight "Hmph" and says he's not her knight coming to rescue her. Its pretty funny imo.
There was also a Club Nintendo comic released in Germany that shows what happened to Link’s father and mother during the Hyrulean Civil War. Hyrule became hyper-polarized due to disagreements (enflamed by the Gerudo) over whether to interfere in the war between the Gorons and Zora, eventually leading to a civil war. Link’s father was a Hylian knight loyal to the royal family, but was slain while defending Castle Town from invading rebels. Amidst the chaos, Link’s mother fled with Link to Kokiri Forest before passing away in front of the Deku Tree. It’s obviously not confirmed canon material, but it doesn’t contradict any of the established lore as far as I’m aware, so it’s great for head-canon. Here’s a link to a video showing an English translation of the comic: th-cam.com/video/FZH_rcKriTM/w-d-xo.html
Ok, the Zelda and Link being related in OOT theory has some big holes in it. Why would the queen of Hyrule take just one of her children while escaping from the war? What, was Zelda not that important to her? Also, before someone brings it up, if baby Zelda was in a safe place why wouldn't the queen and her baby boy be there with her?
Maybe the King and Zelda were captured by rebels during the civil war and only Link and the queen escaped. The king and Zelda could have been freed by the knights of Hyrule, but Link and the queen would have been long gone by then. I personally don’t buy into the theory that Link’s mother was the queen, but it’s not impossible.
Heart Container the mix the power of love and essence of life. Hmm... The power of love is so strong that it can actually heal all wounds and actually converted to give extra stamina .
As much as I love the “Queen of Hyrule is links mom theory,” I don’t think that’s true. I think the Deku tree or even Ganondorf would’ve mentioned it to link at some point.
It is not, in fact I believe the manga of ocarina of time confirms that link's mother was just a simple Hylian who married a knight named Arn, now link and zelda being cousins may not be too farfetched but nintendo will likely never say anything
Same here. The Deku Tree has this magical ability to sense who people really are as he did when he first met Link, seeing that he was the chosen one, so he surely would have sensed that Link's mother was the queen if she was so. Besides, surely other characters would mention the queen if Link's mother had something to do with her. Given that many iterations of link have been known to be descendants of the knight's clan as first established in A Link to the Past. Link's mother or father could have been an elite royal knight of Hyrule. If not, she was likely just another average hylian who displayed extraordinary courage similar to a knight. Besides the whole reincarnation thing(which is probably the most logical conclusion to be honest), Link being the son of a hylian knight would perhaps explain how Zelda recognizes his name. But even if you want to throw that away, it's pretty obvious that the zelda team, despite what anybody else says, ships oot zelink to death and it'd be a little gross if they turned out to be siblings all along. I mean, just look at the manga and other promotional material. Malink may be one of the more popular oot ships in the fandom but Nintendo definitely seems to be going for Zelink in this one. Link's flashback of Zelda in Majora's Mask seems to be going for that route too.
@@dayshallcomeagain There's not too much canon Zelink in OoT or MM, but you could make the argument for potential Zelink in MM, which could just as easily be taken as the affection between siblings. The manga isn't canon, and promotional works are advertising the subject of what they depict, not necessarily the canonicity of it. While I do think Link's father was a knight and his mother was a particularly fiery commoner woman, there is the slim chance that Link might be a bastard of the Queen and a knight. I do not think the Deku Tree would have told Link if he were, as he likely would have left the Ganondorf issue to the adults (Link is a Hylian boy, where the rest of the Kokiri are implied to be rather old). Keeping silent and thus limiting the number of people Link might depend on would ensure he reached his potential. There's also a chance Link's mother might have been a royal of some other station. Interesting theories and fun fanfic ideas aside, I still think Link's mother was a commoner. Here's a false theory because Sheikah genetics would tell too much I think: the Sheikah sorcerer Bongo Bongo before his torture, death, and imprisonment sweeping a young Hylian maiden off her feet before the shit hits the fan. 😂 EDIT: There's also two slims of a chance the King might have had a mistress.
@@JariDawnchild There's actually quite a few moments in both oot and mm that can be interpreted as romantic between Link and Zelda, and aonuma himself says he likes the idea of Link and Zelda ending up together. It may be possible they're related, likely not siblings but maybe cousins, but given that the zelda team clearly supports the pairing, I find it unlikely because just how gross would that be if they turned out to be related?
So the heart container theory makes sense until you think about Ghirahim from Skyward Sword. We fight him 3 times, and don’t truly defeat him any of those times. We fight him in the Skyview Temple, and it’s more like him teaching us to be a better fighter (don’t telegraph your attacks) than us beating him. He leaves because Zelda’s presence is gone, not because we did a lot of damage. And yet a heart container appeared. Ghirahim summoned a boss in the Earth temple, Scaldera, which drops a heart container but that makes sense. What doesn’t make sense is when you get to Lanayru Desert. In the Ancient Mining Facility, we fight Moldera as the boss. We get a heart container after that. However, when searching for Nayru’s Sacred Flame later in the area, we fight Moldera again, this time in the ancient shipyard. It is set up as a miniboss, I guess to show how far we have come? That we can defeat what was once a boss easier? But it doesn’t make sense that the same monster drops a heart container once, and nothing another time. In the Ancient Cistern, Ghirahim takes the disused parts of an old robot and revives it, hostile to you, in a similar way to how malice works in BotW. This is a robot, like in WW, but unlike in WW, this was not a trial from the gods. This was a battle that evil forces set up for you. In a way, it makes sense, that we get a heart container from that, because we defeat the malice-like substance, and the robot parts are left behind (I’m pretty sure they are, but it’s been a while so I could be wrong.). And then we fight Ghirahim again, in the Fire Sanctuary. This time Ghirahim shows up to the fight debatably already injured, or he could be partially upgraded?? (There are black cracks spreading across his skin) And we are also stronger, with experience as well as a longer sword that deals twice as much damage. We really do a lot of damage to Ghirahim then, but he still escapes, he teleports away. And yet another heart container appears. The heart containers being given by the goddess(es) has probably the most evidence for it in Skyward Sword, what with the piece of hearts appearing commonly in the goddess cube chests. Hylia isn’t.. present, in Skyward Sword, but she clearly prepared a lot for her hero, leaving messages and gifts and even the Goddess Sword. She might have planned for heart containers to appear after difficult fights, and it is reliant of the difficulty more that who you are fighting. The only question left is why there are never any heart containers given in the sealed grounds. Either she is unable to mess with that area due to Demise’s presence, or she didn’t know how many times you would end up fighting him so she didn’t reserve any heart containers for that. However, for as much as that explanation fits for Skyward Sword, it doesn’t fit for any other game. That idea completely discards the concept of love in relation to them that appears in many other games. Twilight Princess appears to work obviously differently in regards to bosses, at least, and Wind Waker had some of the most information about love in relation to this. In conclusion, there is some stuff you missed, some things you could have elaborated more on, but it’s a good theory nonetheless.
The sibling thing makes sense to me. Not only because of the things you mentioned, but it also puts a new perspective on Sheik's words and actions as adults since even if Zelda didn't know at the time they met, she likely learned the truth at some point during those seven years. Also the thought of the praise and recognition he might have gotten after going back to warn the king would possibly further explain him withdrawing from everything in Majora's Mask and later in Twilight Princess why it seems his family may have settled somewhere outside of Hyrule since Ordon is close but doesn't seem to be quite within the boundaries of Hyrule. A simple life for someone who'd never really fit in. But still close enough that when Hyrule was in danger Link would have returned to defend it. (Also kind of ties in to that other theory about the grave within the castle walls and being guarded by the dead is actually Link's grave. Why not bury him with the rest of the royal family? Probably his wishes since the reason he's in the weird undead state to begin with is he clearly had plans for what to do after if / when he was slain.) As for anyone asking why take one child and not the other, there's not much to go off of. Any number of reasons could be like 1) mom didn't have both kids nearby, and being in danger just fled with the one she was carrying. Maybe if the castle was under siege they'd already gotten separated in the panic. 2) They knew Zelda was a child of destiny so she'd be fine, but they didn't know about Link so the queen was pleading with the spirit to protect her child. It just happened that the Deku Tree agreed since he could sense the boy was a child of fate. 3) it was just a matter of chance. The king and queen couldn't guarantee anywhere was a safe place so they each took a child in the hopes that the family would hang onto the thrown despite, say, if the king were to be killed. This happens in many stories where a royal family split up with the hopes that someone would survive both in fiction and history. I've even heard a variation on the theory that the Forest Temple may have been an alternative royal residence which could have been where she was staying before it was ransacked and the Lost Woods being not any normal forest swallowed the place over the next decade or so. Being right there, especially if she was injured, it would be far easier to reach the Deku Tree than try to reach or wait for a messenger to get to castle. Assuming that's even where the king was at this point of the war if he took / sent Zelda elsewhere like the Snowpeak Ruins. And I know this is all just speculating but that's kind of the point is without canon info we just don't know what was going on at that time. As to why Deku Tree never mentioned it when telling the story to Link, he seems to know how hard it is for Link to learn he's not and never will be a Kokiri and the tragedy to his mother giving her last breath to save him without getting into the details. Especially when it doesn't matter if he had some title besides The Hero since the kingdom has been stolen. And that title is more important to his destiny anyway.
I think that the Heart Containers and Fragments are the remnants of the love that Hylia and the Fierce Deity had for one another in their first incarnations.
Heart pieces and containers may be physical manifestations of the bond between Hylia and her chosen knight that were created when he fell in battle, but that's some digging into manga shit that I'm not big into personally
Quick theory: the Silent Realm is the true form of the Sacred Realm, unmarred by human flaws. When Link enters with the Master Sword, Fi's power keeps Link's mind from affecting it, unlike Ganondorf who charged in and twisted it into the Dark World seen in ALttP.
I'm so happy you still post zelda videos. I don't play games as much anymore so it's hard to think of theories myself or get all the lore. Zelda is my favorite series.
If there was an item in the real world, our world, that gave you extra life then it would be the most sought out & expensive item either. Imagine an item that makes you live longer? Priceless!
Whoa...remember that storybook you can find in BotW about a prince riding out? What if that book turned out to be a sketchy retelling of Ocarina of Time's Link's heroics?
Regarding OoT Link's mother, maybe it wasn't a "Queen Zelda" but rather a secondary branch from the royal family, just like Zeres from ALBW . Amd they're more like cousins
There was a theory on Zelda dungeon around..10-15 years ago. It was about how the stone temple from MM was the tower of babel. They wanted to reach the heaven, so the gods turned it upside down. The people tought when they foudn majora's mask they found a God in heaven, while it actually came from Hell.
Someone at Nintendo: "Hey wouldn't it be neat and funny if the yetis' embrace made a heart container materialize?" Theorists: "It doesn't mean anything it doesn't mean anything it doesn't mean anything..." OH MY GOD IS THAT A ZONAI SWIRL
19:24 Mother series is freaking DYING for someone to theorize about it, to the point that I wouldn't mind only one theory every 4 to 6 months. For example.... What was the purpose of the Hummingbird Egg in the original Mother 64.... was it even in the game? Why is there a painting of the White Ship crash in Chimera Labs? Whats an enemy like the Major Psychic Psycho doing inside the Fire Spring where no other human like enemies can be found? That well of theories its so so so deep.
Remember when Nintendo said that BOTW 2 was originally a 3rd DLC? Well I've been thinking. Since in DLC pack 1, the introduction of golden enemies was made (and master mode), and then the 3rd DLC. Could it have been that in each DLC pack they were planning to show that Ganon was getting stronger?
That's what I was thinking. The citizens can't really take use of the heart container so they just think they are gems. But the Hero holds the power of the triforce so he can harness their power.
Does anyone else remember the old intro where the master sword gets pulled out of the ground, and then it does that reward sound you get when you do something right in a shrine?
That idea that the constellations in the ‘sacred realm’ in trial of the sword compared to the astral observatory beneath the castle are identical but different is super cool to me.
So I wasn't prepared to draw comparisons of the heart containers and piece of hearts to FMA's philosopher stones, but once he said "Equivalent Exchange" I just couldn't stop thinking about it. Now what once was an amazing love-inspired reward suddenly adopted a very dark connotation.
I wonder if OoT Link and Zelda being siblings was an idea considered and partially implemented during development. But at some point they decided to not fully commit to it. But certain aspects and hints they had already put in that alluded to it were considered harmless enough to leave in. Since they did not outright confirm anything and did not allude too strongly on their own. While also being spaced out enough that most players would not be thinking of the last one by the time they got to the next one, so the dots were less likely to be connected on a wide scale. Plus I doubt the whole idea of Zelda being the mortal incarnation of the Goddess Hylia, or even Hylia as a concept, and the Spirt of the Hero/Her Knight in Green were even thought of back then.
Why does Hyrule refer to Ganon's awakening as its resurrection or revival? It was sealed away, not killed. And Ganon can''t resurrect himself if he's dead. Who resurrected him? Another interesting thing to think about is the sheikah monks' message to Link at the end of their sheikah shrines. Whenever Link completes a trial of strength, the monk at its end will say the following: 'Your triumph over a test of strength subverts a prophecy of ruin. From the ashes of Hyrule, a hero rises.' The sheikah monks have been stuck in their shrines for ten thousand years. How would they know Hyrule was destroyed by Calamity Ganon? And what prophecy were they speaking of? Is it possible 10000 year old Hyrule had their own prophecy about the return of Calamity Ganon and the destruction of hyrule? Did they know their technology would be corrupted and used by Ganon to annihilate Hyrule?
maybe it means in in the zelda universe love is the emotion tied most heavily to the forces of life, which is why the people of the world can create heart containers or pieces from love and affection they feel; while bosses or high tier monsters that die can leave whatever remains of their life force behind as a physical piece of energy (a container or a piece of heart.)
watching this again just now and had a realization. the spirit vessels that hold the tears in the sacred realm.. and the similar shaped device we see on Link in the trailer for TEARS of the Kingdom.. maybe we go to each of races in hyrule to get the tears to restore the broken master sword, idk. but that vessel in ToTK and the name of the game itself is pretty clear callback to this and the sacred realm!!
i dont know if anyone's mentioned this before but the rubber armour from botw has resemblances to the zora. It has the fish thing at the top of the helmet as seen in zora's domain and the the armour placements are similar. It makes sense story-wise too as zora are weak to electricity and there are lot of lizalfos with electricity around zora's domain so the rubber would really help
Unrelated but I need an answer, I'm currently playing on Master mode, I got 13 hearts before I went to the forest but here's the problem, the fire trial or the one we're you have light up posts, they're already lit, have you seen this?
I like heart containers as a metaphor for what gives a person strength - it can be love, friendship, or the experience of overcoming a great hardship. In a world where things like gratitude crystals etc. exist, it's a physical manifestation of the spirit of determination and confidence. Love can inspire a person to push through hardship, past what their base physical strength is capable of, but also the memory of defeating other difficult tasks or enemies. In that case, the heart containers from defeating bosses actually originate from Link and not from the defeated boss. Hence they can be obtained from organic, divine, demonic, or mechanical bosses - the energy to create the heart comes from Link's triumphant emotions, not from the actual act of the death or defeat of the enemy.
On your theory of heart containers the only thing I have a problem with is girahim (I don't know how to write it) when he's defeated he just leaves and a heart appears
So I'd like to point something out, it has to do with your sibling theory but its not OoT and instead is for ALttP. When you find Link's Uncle badly wounded (or at least its implied he's badly wounded) and just before he loses consciousness, and possibly passing away due to how severe his wounds likely were, he tells Link that "Zelda is your..." but never finishes it. I'm gonna be honest, I know Link is actually a descendant of one of the Knights of Hyrule that protected the sages during the Sealing War (which means both him and his Uncle are not secret and unknown members of the royal family), but as a kid I always thought what Link's Uncle was gonna say was something along the lines of "Zelda is your...sister" (ALttP was the first Zelda game I ever actually played, though I never beat it until years later due to the dungeon music scaring me), kind of similar to how Yoda in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi subtly reveals to Luke that Leia is his sister though its Obi-Wan that confirms it. Also not to debunk your sibling theory (which is pretty good imo), but I've had a theory in that like most Links in the series, OoT's Link is the son of a knight, possibly a member of the Royal Guard, and the knight's wife. Being family to a knight, Link's mother and eventually himself when he's born, live in the barracks for families of the knights thus in all intents and purposes, living in the castle. Theres likely to be a nursery of some kind for the children to play in so the parents can do their duties though the mothers will likely be watching the kids and chatting with one another, including Link's mother and possibly even the queen, therefore Link and Zelda meet as babies and play together while their mothers talk with one another, possibly becoming friends in the process. When the Civil War breaks out, Link's father likely tells Link's mother to run to somewhere safe, and take Link with her. Having been friends with the queen, Link's mother likely knows of Kokiri Forest and makes her way there, getting injured in the process, and leaves Link in the care of the Great Deku Tree before dieing of her injuries. Link's father is likely slain during battle since we don't really know what his fate was. And then we get the start of OoT's story and go from there. Zelda saying Link's name sounds familiar is possibly from her remembering them playing together as babies before the war broke out. This is of course a theory and nothing more since we never really get enough info about Link's parents and Zelda's mother to really know for sure what happened to them. Although in the case of Zelda's mother, its possible she died at childbirth when Zelda was born despite their magical abilities that can help in the medical department.
Okay...maybe I've been living underneath a rock but this is the first time I've heard this theory about Link's Mother. I'm impressed! Thank you! It lines up with the idea of Link marrying into a ranch family and his descendant raising goats. That Link marrying into the Mayor's family would proceed too.
In regards to is oot link royalty/zeldas brother.. I thought everyone knew this for years after the game came out. People who tried tried shipping them were shamed. Even when I was wee I put 2 and 2 together always assumed they were long lost siblings.
Hey there! anyone remember that in the wind waker, a boy is reading a book that tells of a prince going to the castle?(something like that, i never played ww) So my theory is that, that prince mention in the ww, is actually oot link, which can also be the prince of hyrule that NBC mentioned. Also, the wind waker is on the adult timeline where ganondorf is sealed, and later on oot, people might have discovered link was actually the prince and as always, important stuff fade into legend, to be later mentiond in the wind waker.
I always thought of hearts as "lives", and link being the hero is why he starts with 3; basically one heart container is equal to one full life. This means that everyone else normally just has one heart in their health bar, when that runs out they die. This is why most healing food and bugs ONLY heal 1 heart, because they are intended for "ordinary people"; this is also why the majority of enemies and nature and falls (regardless of height) SOLELY deal one heart damage (1 heart=one life). Link starts life with the equivalency of THREE lives, thus making him able to die 3 times, and link has the innate ability to absorb the life essence of those he defeats (thus why only link can obtain hearts from fallen enemies, burial pots/plots, and killed plants).
I don't think Link and Zelda being related is true. Although the manga is not canon, I think that what the manga tells makes more sense for Link to be the son of a Knight of Hyrule who fought and died in the civil war.
Here's a good mini theory: Remember the side quest "from the ground up" in breath of the wild? And how Hudson and Rhondson get married and all that. Well, what if in the sequel after Link kills Ganondorf once and for all, Rhondson ends up having a child and it's a boy Gerudo. The new reincarnation of evil. The evidence is all in the Bolson Construction policy
@@kman3554 These kinds of theorists are working very hard to release content on a regular basis, I find no reason not to press two buttons for free to help them out, and press a button once more every post. Plus, it's free quality content that I thoroughly enjoy watching. 😄
I have a theory in breath of the wild there’s a place called hyrule cathedral in northeast castle town and it’s right in the place where the temple of time is in ocarina of time so maybe when ganondorf turned the sacred realm into a place of evil it was sealed of from the world so then the temple of time was probably destroyed and rebuilt in the great plateau and then the cathedral built on the original site.
Even if the Hero of Time was a Prince, I dont think that the King would jump in conclusions that fast just because he had the Triforce pf Courage with him. Because of him traveling back in time to prevent Ganondorf to get his hands on the Triforce, he accidentaly splits the Triforce as well and the pieces go to those choosen by fate. Meaning Ganondorf gets the Triforce of Power anyways, not because he is part of the Royal Family of Hyrule, but because he is destined to become the bane of Hyrule's existence. That would mean that the King didn't realize that Link is his son, otherwise Majora's Mask wouldn't take place theoretically because of Link just riding away, I bet the King would give Link tons of Bodyguards to make surenhe won't lose his son again
You know, I have heard about the "Link is Zelda's brother" theory way back when I was in elementary school. (Or primary school, if you live in countries like the UK.) I never really put stock into it. But hearing this video, I must say that it's very convincing. But of course, would only apply to OoT Link, so far.
Spirit Vessel/Vessel of Light makes me think of other “repeat” items across the games/timeline. Would that be enough material for a whole video? I would like to see you dig into any possible lore on those “legacy” items.

EDIT: There's also two slims of a chance the King might have had a mistress.
Okay so why is everyone replying ridiculously long reply’s?
4:41 this killed me
So the heart container theory makes sense until you think about Ghirahim from Skyward Sword.
I appreciate the fact that you acknowledge its just a mechanic and we are overanalyzing it before starting
Probably his wishes since the reason he's in the weird undead state to begin with is he clearly had plans for what to do after if / when he was slain.)
As for anyone asking why take one child and not the other, there's not much to go off of.

I love this new series! Please continue to do more mini theories in the future!
This was great, I hadn't heard the theory that Ocarina of Time Link and Zelda were siblings, I really like that.
The guardians attack Link so aggressively because they can still tell that even his mind is a danger to the realm.
The Zonai swirl catches me off guard every time omg hahaha
I'm so happy you still post zelda videos. I don't play games as much anymore so it's hard to think of theories myself or get all the lore. Zelda is my favorite series.

I remember that theory.
Oh my goodness the Mystery Dungeon music playing near the end brings back so many memories! THANK YOU! YOU JUST MADE MY DAY!

Neat and funny? I cry everytime I watch that scene

I just had my brain expanded further than it would have ever gone if I tried myself.
You mean the “puzzle solved” jingle?
@@WideMouth yea
"an item clearly added for the sake of game mechanics and development reasons... So let's overanalyze it!"
I like the way you think :) it's fun
That idea that the constellations in the ‘sacred realm’ in trial of the sword compared to the astral observatory beneath the castle are identical but different is super cool to me.
I love how you always throw jokes in like Ravioli and "Is that a zonai swirl!" Never gets old!🤣
8:55 of coarse even for me and my Queen Ashley Windmage.
Plus I doubt the whole idea of Zelda being the mortal incarnation of the Goddess Hylia, or even Hylia as a concept, and the Spirt of the Hero/Her Knight in Green were even thought of back then.
omg i've never considered that last theory but it makes so much sense! new headcanon :0
Whenever Link completes a trial of strength, the monk at its end will say the following:
'Your triumph over a test of strength subverts a prophecy of ruin. From the ashes of Hyrule, a hero rises.'
The sheikah monks have been stuck in their shrines for ten thousand years.
There’s also the seahorses that make a Piece of Heart in Majora’s Mask.

This video was amazing!!! And that last theory, I'd never even heard of the idea of link and zelda being siblings, it's so cool
watching this again just now and had a realization. the spirit vessels that hold the tears in the sacred realm.. and the similar shaped device we see on Link in the trailer for TEARS of the Kingdom.. maybe we go to each of races in hyrule to get the tears to restore the broken master sword, idk. but that vessel in ToTK and the name of the game itself is pretty clear callback to this and the sacred realm!!
8:09-8:15 Well, it's like they say: "Till' death do us part."
i dont know if anyone's mentioned this before but the rubber armour from botw has resemblances to the zora.

I don’t know if anyone else I said this but in hyrulre warriors age of calamity the little Guardian was singing Zelda‘s lullaby from ocarina of time
"...that last one comes from Anju's grandmother, who is FAKING HER SENILITY." WHAT. I looked it up and I can't believe I missed that detail.
I know so much more about Zelda thanks to you

Okay...maybe I've been living underneath a rock but this is the first time I've heard this theory about Link's Mother. I'm impressed! Thank you!
It lines up with the idea of Link marrying into a ranch family and his descendant raising goats. That Link marrying into the Mayor's family would proceed too.
Link has the tri-force of courage. Courage is also described as having heart. I’m just saying
i seemed to see a giant antient core on the forehead of the mummified "Ganondorf" in the trailer, same style as antient shield, antient bow and stuff

Hey there! anyone remember that in the wind waker, a boy is reading a book that tells of a prince going to the castle?(something like that, i never played ww) So my theory is that, that prince mention in the ww, is actually oot link, which can also be the prince of hyrule that NBC mentioned. Also, the wind waker is on the adult timeline where ganondorf is sealed, and later on oot, people might have discovered link was actually the prince and as always, important stuff fade into legend, to be later mentiond in the wind waker.
If he loves swirls just wait until he hears about Wind Waker
Maybe you can make a mini theory about the medallion in a link to the past?
keep doing this
When I was young and first played oot, I was convinced Zelda and Link were siblings, for many of the same reasons you said here.
The moment I heard Equivalent Exchange my mind immediately went "Full Metal Alchemist?"
Here's a good mini theory:
Remember the side quest "from the ground up" in breath of the wild? And how Hudson and Rhondson get married and all that. Well, what if in the sequel after Link kills Ganondorf once and for all, Rhondson ends up having a child and it's a boy Gerudo. The new reincarnation of evil.
Wait which area is it in?
@@LastStraightFlyinCataclysm the hyrule cathedral is in north east castle town

5:08 Zonai Swirls haunt the nightmares of all Zelda theorists
You know, I have heard about the "Link is Zelda's brother" theory way back when I was in elementary school. (Or primary school, if you live in countries like the UK.) I never really put stock into it. But hearing this video, I must say that it's very convincing. But of course, would only apply to OoT Link, so far.
You're defiling someone's grave when you open a chest. Link...Where did you get that heart?
Spirit Vessel/Vessel of Light makes me think of other “repeat” items across the games/timeline. Would that be enough material for a whole video? I would like to see you dig into any possible lore on those “legacy” items.
I've been saying that OoT Link and Zelda were siblings, and maybe even twins, ever since that game launched.
There's also tears of light in the other realm of Spirit Tracks.
