I've been in the field 13 years and there are a lot of wonderful, creative, exciting opportunities in marketing, as well as plenty of toxic agencies and hostile clients just like anything else. She'll find her path along the way and if she ends up in marketing, there is a good community waiting for her for sure! A lot of us are excited and very welcoming to the new folks in the industry. Lots of great internships too!

My oldest son is the same age as Eryn, so we dealt with that adjustment this year as well. It’s a huge adjustment, especially if you aren’t sure it’s for you. I’m so glad Eryn went and I’m happy to see her finding her way and deciding what she CAN do and what she wants. You can change your mind, too! Wishing her all the best!

I went through the same exact thing, but decided not to waste my energy with rebuilding any thing, it’s been 10 years. I find it incredible when people can move past things, kudos for sure! 👏

I have to say this because I have a marketing degree. Be sure you know what your options are when you graduate. I lived in Dallas, and the only options I found was business to business sales. That was 100% not what I got into marketing for. I hope you have (and know you probably do) better referrals. 😊
I mean my best friend went to college to get a teaching degree then 10 or 12 years later? Gets a Masters in Business Administration ( because the teaching field became a choke hold here a few years after she graduated ). Some folks actually do know what they want to do in college, but it is okay to not have a plan or change your mind.
Laura and Tyler gave Eryn such a wonderful gift when they adopted her, and they welcomed her in, some would’ve brought their neice in but not welcomed them. They are all such great people. They all show such genuine love for each other. ❤
