Hey man, thank you for the video! Are those sounds coming from the unit, or is the unit controlling sounds inside Logic? Could you explain in detail how you set it up to record in Logic? Did you make two simultaneous tracks, as in a midi track and an audio track? Thank you again!
Thanks buddy! Yamaha kindly provided me with the FGDP :-) if you wantto support me, please leave subscription and you could also check out my patreon page :-)
Hey Toby I'm an ex pro drummer with not enough room to mic my drum kits so they gather dust sitting there sadly enough! This seems like a fab little device though so considering buying one for my own songs. So I gather whatever you play on it is automatically quantized? Your guitar sounds amazing! Thanks man! 👍
hey, thanks for your kind words! Generally you have to do adjust it in your DAW that your recorded MIDI-tracks get quantized automatically. I am sure it is possible in every professional DAW.
Hi from Wisconsin ! I've been really starting to get into finger drumming again. We used to have live jams with my old Alesis SR-16 about 20 years ago. Which preset sound are you using here ? Thanks and take good care !
Can you record a loop and have it quantize? If so long how long can the loops be? There has been little info on the record feature without being in conjunction with the accompaniment
@@TM-guitar YES please! ...on the finger drumming lesson video! :) Guitar guy here, so yeah - would love any tips on the finger drumming side of things as I've got this ordered but, only planning to use it for creating my own backing tracks / looper pedal fun jam sessions. That sort of thing as I like the organic of creating vs a beat buddy or whatever. @TM-guitar
Sounds great! Wish it could play live or at least let us plug in the pedal or something. My goal is to play drums without disturbing anyone. It doesn't have to be like a real drum but it'll be fun anyway as long as I play it myself.
So all I need to do for the usb connection to send audio is set it up in the audio settings? I had it sending midi but it wouldn't send audio through usb
Hi I'm having trouble to get Cubase to recognise my FGDP-50. The Steinberg control panel doesn't seem to see it. I have connected to the computer with the cable that also charges the battery and I'm wondering if this is the correct cable. The latest Steinberg driver is installed and recognises my Yamaha Montage ok. Any help would be appreciated.
Here is the part 2:

Dude... this is awesome, exactly what I want to do as a guitar player as well. Perfect.
Rock on!
Best demo I've seen of the FGDP-50 so far. Great work! 🤘
Wow, thanks! Really Kind! Next one comes up today!
Amazing! This is exactly what I wanted to see. I appreciate your metal finger drumming!
Glad you liked it!
I've been waiting for something like this drum controller/pad to come.
Simple and works for both quick drums recording + vst connection
Yes sir! 🤘🏻🎸
Thanks man! You showed in a short time what all us wanted so hard to see (and hear)
Glad you liked it!
Ha. Rapid fire fill at 4:23. NBD.
Best demo of this device I’ve seen yet. ❤
Thanks man. I was searching for a drum machine but this one is way much better for what I need. Chhers
Glad I could help!
I love my FGDP-50, it's really great.
sounds even better over headphones
great demo, track went hard
Yes! And no AI required :)
Pfff… I’m gonna order one now =) what you’re doing with it it’s amazing. Much more impressive than Yamaha.
Enjoy!
Exactly the video i was looking for. Thank you sir.

Beautiful! Did you have address any lag issues?

love this!
Thank you very much! 🎉
Awesome!
Thank you buddy!! 🎉
What’s the Ibanez you’re playing here?
How long did it take to get this good at finger drumming?
Honestly not very long, since I play drums as well. But thank you!!
Would you like to have a lesson video here? Thinking about that.
@TM-guitar ahh, I think there's always room for that sure.
@@TM-guitar would love lessons on how to drum with the FGDP-50! :)
@@danielroman2771 that’s my upcoming plan 🙌👌🏻🤘🏻

Sick!!!!!
Great demo mate and good song! Yamaha need to send you some free stuff to demo they owe you😂👍
Thanks mate! 🤪🤘🏻
Can you program pads to assign each individual pad it's own snare or kick for example ?
I believe you can
Yes
have you been practicing a lot before? or is it that easy to play with fingers? Might sound like a stupid question but i mean it
It’s not easy at all, but since I play drums since 25+ years, it’s not that hard for me to learn it fast. Do you play drums?
Hows the reverbs and stereo imagint?
It’s good.
Sounds great!

i produce an upcoming video about some groove tips with the FGDP showcased with an exclusive track.

Can I connect this to an amplifier on stage?
It has a line out. So yeah!

It’s sorted now. It was a dodgy cable that was provided by Yamaha.😊
