Man that is sooo cool you implemented to God alone be the glory, in Japanese. I’ve always wanted to implement scripture into my blades. Amazing work as always Curtis!
Freaking nice! First video I watched and I liked it. Excellent work on the habaki, and looking forward to the tsuba video! Gonna watch the rest of your videos. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. I'm subscribing and may you and your loved ones have a blessed day ☺
@CurtisHaaland I'm a fellow bladesmith also. Just started a year and a half ago...I still have so much to learn. The only Japanese things I do are hamons 😆 I look forward to learning more about Japanese swords.
I just watched the collaberation video with Wasnac. In it , toward the end you reference B grinds and S grinds by a guy (don't remember his name) but I have watched several of his videos using these knives on vegetables and they are quite impressive. He has no videos on how he creates these grinds and I am wondering if you have followed up on how he does them. I am very curious and would love to try doing it. Where should I start? Thanks, Wallace
@@wallacehammond4825 hey man! Thanks for this comment. So I recently did an s grind and I didn’t quite get the geometry right and the veggies still stuck a tiny bit. So I plan on doing more of that and figuring it out. I will make a video about it some time
Excellent! Not over worked yet elegantly clean

Super clean. I'm actually happy that you shortened it, I think it looks better that way.

Very interesting!!
Right!?!? So cool
@@CurtisHaaland do you have any book recommendations that are similar but for japanese knives?
@@meltingmarker2753 most of the books I’ve found are specific to the sword. But this one is not just swords. They talk about tantos as well
@@CurtisHaaland I've been looking for resources about all the different japanese chef/kitchen knives. Seems like a whole different world
Very nice! How thick of a piece of copper did you start with?
I think it was 1/4” or more
Soli Deo Gloria!
