This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
It is ok! Im going to buy one used with a little leak, and thanks to you video, I see the brew unit is different from the Saeco/ Ariston type. The pump and the rest of the machine is pretty standard. I'm repairing a customers Ariston with a burnt cofee grinder motor and it a pain to disassemble. This particular is disegned to be integrated flush with the kitchen furniture.
I've obtained one of these machines today as faulty. It lets me run the cleaning cycle for 8 or so mins, but the 10+ min descaling cycle concludes within a min, with lots of liquid being ejected into the drip tray and some coming out the top of the piston. An initial strip down has shown very worn O-rings on the piston, causing a loss in pressure in the coffee chamber during the descale cycle. Will buy new ones asap, fit and run the descale cycle again to see if problem persists. If not, then it may expose another issue further down the process. A coffee cycle also produces the same outcome, which is expected given that the piston chamber needs pressure to succeed. Noticed that the ejected coffee pellet is very dry too. Will update accordingly.

I have a similar coffee machine, and the same problem happens but ONLY when I run the cleaning program with the cleaning tablet. The water then comes in the tray instead of coming through the nozzles. Apart from that, I can make coffee normally. Would you recommend I dissemble the machine as you showed? The "clean" and "calc" lights come on, I press the rinse button as indicated in the service manual and water only begins to come out of the foaming nozzle. When finished it stops and the 2 lights come back on. I have done the cleaning several times before without any problem, but now it is not working for me, am I doing something wrong? Thank you!

Thank you for the guide, it was very helpful. Unfortunately in my case (ea81*) heating element was beyond anticalc and vinegar, was completely clogged and it didnt work at all afterwards. Spare was just over 150€ so i decided to buy new coffee machine.
First, get an additional bottle cap. Make a hole with a drill, then attach a piece of silicone tubing to it using hot glue or a similar adhesive. With this modified cap, you can easily apply vinegar to any desired location.
Na minha máquina a água transborda dos lados da prensa de café. Isso faz escorrer no fundo e molha toda a mesa. Coloquei vinagre no compartimento de água pra ver se era calcário, mas não resolveu. O problema é que não consegui abri de forma nenhuma dois parafusos. Por isso não consigo abrir a máquina.
I'm on my second KRUPS 'bean-to-cup' machine. they make wonderful coffee WHEN they are working properly. My first machine somehow ended up with a corrupt controller and would not sequence correctly. The second machine has gone trough a phase where the coffee grounds pellet would not eject properly and gave a high pitched click. This has since stopped but now the coffee quality has deteriorated remarkably and, according to my wife, the machine just produces dirty water. I can't help but think it is a fault of the grinder not crushing enough coffee. I can remove the grinder easily but I cannot seem to disassemle it to clean it out. Any suggestions from anybody?
Hi! I have an ea80 machine, but with a different problem. When the machine starts brewing the coffee, at the beginning of the process (when the valve goes down), water escapes into the lower tray. After that, the coffee brews properly, there is no underflow, no problem. At the end of the process, when the valve moves upwards and the dregs are emptied, hot water is again discharged into the lower tray. After about 4 coffees, the tray is full... What could be the problem? (hope google translate works well) Thank you!
a little bit of water escapes in the lower try..that's normal. A full lower try after 4 coffees is not normal. I suppose you have a problem with the flow distributor or heater gasket.
Hi, i have the same issue. After valve goes down and initial water Is injected into the cylinder ( pump works aprox. 2 seconds ), there is a pause of 2 seconds in the cycle, during that pause water escapes into the lower tray. When pump starts again there Is no flow of water into the lower tray. So, of you want 70ml of coffee you will get abou 50ml. 20ml goes into the lower tray, aprox. Did you fix the issue? On 32:40 you say this part is on new model overflow or something... Is there some rubber on that part? from down side, cause all my water is leaking from that part in down tray. And I have cleaned everything the machine is not clogged not in a brewing part or in a piston. It got to be some rubber that doesn't give water to go in tray when everything is fine but I guess when something is clogged then the water goes thrue that part down into the tray, am I right?
Salut Cristian. Toate espresoarele de genul acesta care vin în atelierul meu au fost întreținute deficitar. Dacă se respectă intervalele de decalcifiere și curățarea periodica sunt foarte fiabile.

Din nou, daca ai grija de aparat si ii faci curatari periodice nu vei avea mari probleme cu el. La rasnita incearca sa folosesti ceafea de calitate, sa nu fie boabele uleioase si nu vei avea probleme. Indiferent ce aparat iti vei lua in schimb ca e Philips sau Delongi tot atat de fiabil e daca e intretinut corect.
Salutare, imi poti spune cum ai facut pistonul sa se ridice? Al meu este lasat, asa cum era la tine initial, si nu-l pot ridica. Mentionez ca am o eroare care imi arata un stecher. Manualul spune sa curat cartusul filtrului, dar nu stiu care e. Am curatat tot pana am ajuns la piston numai ca nu pot trece mai departe. Multumesc mult!

Ai vre-o idee de la ce ar putea fi? Am incercat sincu otet ai cu tablete anticalcar si nu am reusit. Multumesc!
Salut Nico. Fara să văd aparatul nu as putea sa îți zic sigur, dar as zice că e de la repartitor/ distribuitor. Ai putea să îl desfaci și să vezi dacă nu e plin de calcar și din cauza asta nu face cursa completa. Apoi se poate curata cu acid citric dau oțet.

@@benassy69 Thanks a lot for your reply. I watched your video, but that's not my problem. My problem is that as the piston goes up, it pressurizes the coffee residues in the heating tank upwards. In other words, the inside of the coffee machine is filled with coffee grounds. If you have an e-mail address, I can send you a video.
Usually this problems are caused by limescale. Vinegar is a very potent limescale remover. Try this fix and see if it does the job. For me it always did.

Salut luchian ! Imi este foarte greu sa iti dau un raspuns concret fara sa vad aparatul deschis. Dar din ce imi povestesti tu acel POC se aude cand pistonul se intoare inapoi dupe ce a facut cafeaua. In cazul tau daca acesta coboara si se si intoare inapoi fara sa curga cafea deloc iar cafeaua macinata cazuta in tavita este uscata inseamna ca distribuitorul tau nu face trecerea apei pe incalzitor. Cu alte cuvinte un distribuitor blocat. Tot am zis ca voi face un video despre cum se curtata un distribuitor, dar nu am apucat.

Hi. Sounds like you have a gripped lifting mechanism. It is a common problem on this type of units but I don't have a video on it. You will need to change the lifting column.
Salut. Am si eu acelasi model si am o problema putin diferita. Aparatul scoate apa (fierbinte) doar pe la mustiucul de apa fierbinte/abur. Pe acolo scoate si cand apas oricare dintre butoanele pentru cafea, cele 2 din dreapta. Ai idee ce ar putea fi? 🙂
Salut Andrei! Este o problema des întâlnită. Problema ta e cauzata de valva sau repartitor. Prima daca trebuie verificata valva să nu aibă depuneri de calcar și să nu mai deschidă. Apoi verificat repartitorul daca din aceeași cauză (calcar) nu s-a blocat pe abur.
Salut Adrian! Până la urmă nu îmi este clar dacă acea curățare a elementului de încălzire o puteai face și pe sus, după îndepărtarea"pistonului"? Fix la fel se comporta și aparatul meu, dar daca trebuie sa îl demontez chiar de tot, nu mă bag. :) Prima parte e ok, dar după aia mă depășește. :)). Mersi mult de răspuns!
Salut. Poți încerca. Dai jos pistonul și umpli camera cu oțet. Oțetul va trece prin elementul de încălzire și va curata calcarul. Lași vreo 30 min să acționeze și apoi faci o decalcifiere pună f oțet și apă în bazin. S-ar putea să meargă.
Agree and Inwould also prefer citric acid. But vinegr is a really easy and reliable variant since everybody has it at home and you can rinse it quickly so no stink anymore. ;)

Aparataul meu Krups de ceva timp nu mai face cafeaua asa buna, mai exact o face foarte tare si fara pic de crema, indiferent de boabe, cand fac expresso strong pentru capucino are gust amar de zici ca e scrum... Am facut curatari cu pastile si decalcifiant dedicat dar fara succes, iar acum l-am desfacut si am curatat tot inauntru inclusiv pistonul de sus cu sita, si am constatat ca aceea valva de pe piston are o gaurica destul de mare si nu stiu daca de acolo e problema, netinand bine presiunea la presare... Sau pistinonul de jos e vinovat? nedesfacandul si pe acela... Stiu de la alt aparat manual ca atunci cand am schimbat sita care era vinovata, cafeaua iesea foarte cremoasa. Mersi fain!
Salut . Nu cred că problema ta este de la sita și piston și mai exact de la rasnita. In mod normal rasnita trebuie sa funcționeze 7 secunde pentru o cafea simpla. Am întâlnit situații în care rasnita mergea mult mai mult și la o viteza mai mare arzând cafeaua și măcinând o cantitate mult mai mare și cafeaua ieșind amara și fără crema exact cum descrii tu. Verifica te rog cate secunde rasniteaza și spune-mi te rog.
@@benassy69 Am cronometrat și macina exact cum ai zis 7secunde. Rănită fiind curățată. M-am jucat și cu măcinarea dar si cu temperatura apei din setari dar tot la fel. In schimb sa zică ca debitul cafelei care curge este prea mare. De asta ma gândesc ca aceea valva de cauciuc cu gaura cam mare nu mai tine presiunea cat sa extragă bine.. Probabil o sa comand piston nou căci valva nu se găsește.
@@benassy69 Am improvizat o garnitura cu o gaurica cu un ac mic si acuma iasă exact cum trebuie curge foarte cremoasa si este mai gustoasa. În concluzie de acolo era problema, valva aia de cauciuc imbatranita si gaura era mai mare..

Este foarte ușor ...se glisează suportul metalic prin partea decupata a pistonului. Apropo difuza aia mica la care se atașează furtunul se poate scoate pentru a introduce pistonul cu ușurință.

Hi. Sounds like you have a gripped lifting mechanism. It is a common problem on this type of units but I don't have a video on it. You will need to change the lifting column.
Salut. Am si eu acelasi model si am o problema putin diferita. Aparatul scoate apa (fierbinte) doar pe la mustiucul de apa fierbinte/abur. Pe acolo scoate si cand apas oricare dintre butoanele pentru cafea, cele 2 din dreapta. Ai idee ce ar putea fi? 🙂
Salut Andrei! Este o problema des întâlnită. Problema ta e cauzata de valva sau repartitor. Prima daca trebuie verificata valva să nu aibă depuneri de calcar și să nu mai deschidă. Apoi verificat repartitorul daca din aceeași cauză (calcar) nu s-a blocat pe abur.

Până la urmă nu îmi este clar dacă acea curățare a elementului de încălzire o puteai face și pe sus, după îndepărtarea"pistonului"? Fix la fel se comporta și aparatul meu, dar daca trebuie sa îl demontez chiar de tot, nu mă bag. :) Prima parte e ok, dar după aia mă depășește. :)). Mersi mult de răspuns!
Salut. Poți încerca. Dai jos pistonul și umpli camera cu oțet. Oțetul va trece prin elementul de încălzire și va curata calcarul. Lași vreo 30 min să acționeze și apoi faci o decalcifiere pună f oțet și apă în bazin. S-ar putea să meargă.

Yes. If you intend to have maximum 3-5 caffees a day. I aslo use daily this model at home.
It's better to use citric acid instead of vinegar! It is more gentle on metal parts and it's not stinky!
Agree and Inwould also prefer citric acid. But vinegr is a really easy and reliable variant since everybody has it at home and you can rinse it quickly so no stink anymore. ;)

Aparataul meu Krups de ceva timp nu mai face cafeaua asa buna, mai exact o face foarte tare si fara pic de crema, indiferent de boabe, cand fac expresso strong pentru capucino are gust amar de zici ca e scrum... Am facut curatari cu pastile si decalcifiant dedicat dar fara succes, iar acum l-am desfacut si am curatat tot inauntru inclusiv pistonul de sus cu sita, si am constatat ca aceea valva de pe piston are o gaurica destul de mare si nu stiu daca de acolo e problema, netinand bine presiunea la presare... Sau pistinonul de jos e vinovat? nedesfacandul si pe acela... Stiu de la alt aparat manual ca atunci cand am schimbat sita care era vinovata, cafeaua iesea foarte cremoasa. Mersi fain!
Salut . Nu cred că problema ta este de la sita și piston și mai exact de la rasnita. In mod normal rasnita trebuie sa funcționeze 7 secunde pentru o cafea simpla. Am întâlnit situații în care rasnita mergea mult mai mult și la o viteza mai mare arzând cafeaua și măcinând o cantitate mult mai mare și cafeaua ieșind amara și fără crema exact cum descrii tu. Verifica te rog cate secunde rasniteaza și spune-mi te rog.
@@benassy69 Am cronometrat și macina exact cum ai zis 7secunde. Rănită fiind curățată. M-am jucat și cu măcinarea dar si cu temperatura apei din setari dar tot la fel. In schimb sa zică ca debitul cafelei care curge este prea mare. De asta ma gândesc ca aceea valva de cauciuc cu gaura cam mare nu mai tine presiunea cat sa extragă bine..
Probabil o sa comand piston nou căci valva nu se găsește.
Atunci rasnita e ok. Încearcă să schimbi valva aceea totuși. Anunță-mă dacă reușești să o repari sunt și eu curios. ;)
@@benassy69 Am improvizat o garnitura cu o gaurica cu un ac mic si acuma iasă exact cum trebuie curge foarte cremoasa si este mai gustoasa.
În concluzie de acolo era problema, valva aia de cauciuc imbatranita si gaura era mai mare..
Ma bucur sa aud că ai descoperit problema și ai rezolvat-o. Mulțumesc și pentru că ai revenit să îmi spui ! Am învățat și eu ceva ... ;)

@@servicemesinkopi_bali6403 then you have a jammed pump. Open the pump and clean it or exchange it. I have a video on how to disassemble and clean them.

Salut! Eu nu reusesc sa pun pistonul la loc
Este foarte ușor ...se glisează suportul metalic prin partea decupata a pistonului. Apropo difuza aia mica la care se atașează furtunul se poate scoate pentru a introduce pistonul cu ușurință.
